Didn't they used to be in The Paso area?

Have now had their WV PINOT, Edna Valley Chard,& just bought a bottle of their Gamay Noir. Gotta save some $$ before their Seven Springs vineyard PN can be had (that's because only TEN rows of premium grapes grown in that vineyard).. Quality. Wonderful 2011 PN & Chard... The Food& Wine piece on this erstwhile Hollywood guy cum winemaker was quite interesting... Great wines

Tasting room: 4 stars Wines: 4.5 stars Host: 1 star Having tasted their wines before and reading rave reviews in Wine Spectator, I was really looking forward to our The Rarities Series tasting at Evening Land Tasting Room. The facility is nice and our table for 6 guests was waiting for us on arrival. Very nicely set. Gorgeous stemware. Unfortunately, our host came across as a salesman. Rather than letting the wines speak for themselves, he upsold every wine, pushed stemware on us, and basically annoyed everyone in our group. Our $55 tasting fee was nonrefundable. This combination of issues, in my opinion, jaded everyone so much that none of them enjoyed the wines. I could see past his sales pitch and tried to enjoy the wines for what they were. I ended up purchasing a considerable amount of wine. None of the hosts at any of the other dozen or so wineries came across in this manner. Hopefully, when my wines arrive, I'll be able to enjoy them for the artistry that went into them and forget about our tasting experience.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from Santa Barbara County, California. We both work in the wine industry there. This place was awesome! The staff member that was helping us was so nice and informative. We loved the 2017 La Source Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and were able to ship bottles h. Great place to visit if you can!

Brut rosé. Delicious, but a hard sell at $65.

I'd heard really good things about Evening Land so I was pretty excited to come check it out. The tasting room is in a building with a few others (Angela Estate, Le Cadeau, etc..) so please note this is not their vineyard or winemaking location. They do offer a vineyard tour by appointment. The tasting room was empty when I arrived as it was near the end of the day. It's a casual tasting room and there was reggae music playing which seemed a little off-brand for them. The tasting options are a classic tasting ($20) or a Seven Springs tasting ($40). Their fee is waived only with the purchase of 6+ bottles which is pretty bizarre considering everywhere else I visited was 2 bottles or $40/$50. I was lucky to try their $75 and $100 pinot. While good, I did not think it was 2-3x as good as others I'd had that day. Similarly, the sparkling rose, while delicious, was $65 per bottle. Yikes!

One of the top 5 Oregon Wineries. Outstanding Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff (Sarah). A must-visit in Oregon wine country. Tasting fee waived with certain purchases.

Evening Land is one of the best producers of Pinot and Chardonnay in Oregon. They make wines that cellar well. Also, don't miss the Gamay.

A $20 tasting fee after I bought 4 bottles is pretty cruel. It's a 6 bottle minimum to wave the fee. I won't be coming back here. Boy bye .

Evening Land's 2013 Eola Amity Hills, Pinot Noir, is my new favorite red. This is a great winery and I look forward to having more.

We dropped by here today and tasted some wine…read more Summer was on staff there and she was able to give us the story of the winery's origin. Which was very interesting but I'll let her tell you about it when you visit. On my way up there I discovered there was a Groupon for $20 you could get a tasting of eight wines for two people. So, I purchased that which was a great deal. It turns out it's a misprint there is actually only six wines but still a great deal. This was a weekday visit and they had some prepackaged food for purchase and also soft drinks. We purchased a couple meat and cheese trays and went outside to enjoy the wine. It was nice outside finally under 80 and air quality not terrible for a pleasant change. They have a great many tables and chairs and umbrellas outdoors making it a nice stop for spring and summer. The wine club sounded intriguing and I'll definitely ponder that as everything tasted great. I'll definitely be back to try it again.

It's really tucked away and a secret gem. The drive is so worth it. They are so busy all day Friday with constant visitors pouring in. The two ladies in the tasting room are the sweetest. They have great pours here and a great big bold 2018 Estate Pinot Noir! I love the founder's story and the Cuban passion all over. They let you wonder around the beautiful grounds and get close to the vines. There are also live bands and food pop up on the weekends. We will be back again! Next time I want to smoke a Cuban cigar while enjoying a few glasses of those awesome reds!
