Raab for 3 years now (my family for even longer than that) and I can say, with confidence, that he is and always will be my family's number one choice in skin care. The good Dr. had already removed 2 cysts from the back of my head (each removed a year apart) before I had seen him 2 weeks ago regarding a dry skin issue I was having around my eyelids. The skin around my eyelids was incredibly swollen (red) to which I had figured to simply be just a dry skin issue thanks to a pharmacist I had seen at a local Walgreen's about a year and half ago. Well, after going through over a year and half of using the brand of moisturizer the Walgreen's pharmacist had recommended, I was still seeing no results and my eyes were only getting worse and more annoying to live with. Especially during the winter time. So, instead of making the same mistake twice by going back to the local Walgreen's, I decided that it was time to see Dr. Raab and I'm so glad that I did. After dealing with this condition for almost 2 years, I was completely caught off guard when the Dr. told me that he would have my eyes cleared up & back to normal within the week, and he was right. I was amazed by the Dr.'s performance in treating me and now I can go back to my day-to-day routines without irritation and constantly having to worry about how my eyes look. I couldn't recommend this doctor enough. His credentials speak for themselves, I highly recommend Dr. Raab as your dermatologist of choice. You won't be disappointed, I personally guarantee it.

Dr. Suwan was kind and informative about what options there were, how they differ, and which would be best for what I was looking to achieve (minimize 11's and forehead lines). The office itself is clean and well kept. So far I'm very happy with the results and already have my next appointment set. I don't have a before photo, but the last photo is me trying to make a face so the lines appear and as you can see my 11s and forehead lines are barely there and this is after only 1 appointment!!

The injections were rough, I had significant swelling and bruising around my lips, and I was given no aftercare instructions. My lips went back to their original size within a month. When I called, I was told I needed a second syringe and that this had supposedly been discussed during my visit. I went back, and instead of addressing why the filler didn't last, she tried to sell me a third syringe, commenting that my smile was "very wide." Once again, the results faded within a month. In February 2026, I went to a different injector (BRN, RN). She was thorough, gentle, and professional. She couldn't even feel any prior filler in my lips. I received one syringe, had no bruising, minimal swelling, and loved the results. The difference in skill and professionalism was night and day. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this provider.

That's easy to say, but difficult to do. Still, I was patient (all the while having coworkers, students, and family asking me for updates). After 2 weeks I was getting antsy, so called and left a message. In doing so, you're prompted to record certain information: "State your name and hit the # key; State your doctor and hit the # key; State the reason for your call and hit the # key," etc. The PA-C who did the procedure called me back within a few hours, but apparently the "reason" for my call wasn't relayed, because she had no idea why I had called. After that bit of awkwardness, she said she was surprised no one had called me with the biopsy results. They were negative. The end. I mean, that's great and all, but here I was a bit anxious (while trying not to be, but my mind goes 20 steps ahead and into the "what ifs" pretty easily) the whole time, waiting like I was told. The next day I went to my mom's to find a letter from them stating the negative results. Again, great... but a phone call - like I was told I'd receive - would have been much, much better. I mean...this relates to skin CANCER, which I've had (the deadliest kind, mind you) - probably should be a little higher on the "Let's make sure we follow up with the patient like we said we would" List. Disappointing.

I paid $800 for cosmetic surgery to laser on my face... and then scheduled a followup appt. to make sure all was well with the laser I just paid a load of cash to have done. I called before coming in to that appt. as I felt it looked good and wanted to make sure I wasn't getting charged. She told me I wasn't because it was a follow-up to a cosmetic procedure I paid out-of-pocket for. I went in and was nonchalantly talking with the doctor about my lasered areas (one being my skin cancer scar) and said that sometimes it breaks out with tiny pimples and if that was normal... as a result of the cosmetic laser. He looked at it and diagnosed me with something. Because he gave me an (untreatable) diagnosis, I was charged $40 for that appt., even though it was my followup and not a new concern. Still annoyed. Make sure you are careful in speaking about finances and what you ask for. It's pretty ridick that I'd be charged for him to tell me the little pimples (using a fancy term) are normal as a result of the surgery I've had. BS I tell you. I'll still go back because they did a nice job when all is said and done, but I just hate being nickel and dimed about every little thing.

I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Oak Dermatology, specifically regarding the MiraDry…read moreprocedure with Rachel. From start to finish, the experience was truly traumatic. Despite expressing discomfort and obvious anxiety stemming from the intense physical pain of my initial procedure with Rachel (which makes me sweat just thinking back to it), both Rachel and Rhonda flat-out refused to let me switch providers for the second treatment. I finally received approval to switch and booked the appointment, only to be told a month later it was being canceled if not done with Rachel. Their rigidity and lack of empathy was appalling. Let me preface this by sharing that I have a high pain tolerance -- I've fractured my hip during military service and have tolerated Opus treatments in the past without flinching; yet, the pain of this procedure was infinitely worse than both of those combined or any surgery I've had. It felt like someone was literally burning off my armpits for over an hour. Between that and the endless injections that wound up being futile, I have never cursed so much in my entire life in one sitting. Nothing Rachel attempted helped with pain management, and my clear distress was minimized and ignored after I recounted the experience to her and the staff. If both Rachel and Rhonda are supposedly qualified to perform this procedure, why refuse my simple, reasonable request to switch providers for the second round of treatments? Had I known they would be so inflexible and dismissive of my well-being, I never would have chosen Oak Dermatology. Now, I have to spend several thousand more dollars to do the procedure anew elsewhere, since the discounted second treatment is non-transferable wherever I go next. This clinic clearly prioritizes their own egos and reputations over patient comfort and care. It's incredibly disappointing to see this kind of arrogance in a medical setting. While Dr. Hsu and Stephanie are genuinely wonderful, competent, and caring professionals, my overall impression of the practice is deeply negative after this. I would never return to Oak Dermatology after being treated in this way.
