I've been with Dr. Kota for over 10 years, and he has truly been a blessing to our family. He's a caring, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable doctor who takes the time to listen and explain things clearly. He stays very current on autoimmune and metabolic conditions related to weight loss, such as insulin resistance, PCOS, and thyroid disease. He put me on a personalized regimen of supplements and medication, and I can honestly say it's changed my life. Horrible. Never answers the phone. My pharmacy puts in requests to refill my prescription and it takes them up to a week to send the approval. I've had to call multiple times to send requests of my own and still no answer and still no access to my prescription. Don't come here. read more

Stay away. The actual nurse practitioner who I saw was excellent. Kind, patient, smart, and seemed to genuinely care about me. The rest of the staff, especially those dealing with scheduling and billing, are incompetent to a dangerous degree. Let me list the problems I've had with them so far... 1. I visited their office 2 times, once for an annual exam and then a follow up for blood work. For my first visit I scheduled the appointment through their website (through the giant "book now" link) and later that day received an email confirming my appointment. On the day of, I arrived on time only to be told that they have no record of my appointment on file. I showed them the confirmation email and she didn't have an explanation. Ok, I gave them a break... I rescheduled right then and there. I'm told that this time I'll receive a phone call confirming my next appointment, and also that they'll look into something insurance related for me and let me know. Well guess what... day of the appointment and I never received either call. 2. I made it very clear to these people that I'd like to know what they'll expect me to pay BEFORE I go through with an appointment and have to pay it. Guess what again? I never heard back about that, despite my best efforts, and after my last appointment they hit me with a surprise bill. 3. One of the girls behind the desk who dealt with scheduling couldn't even simply reschedule an appointment. I got a call the day of the old appointment saying I missed an appointment. She created two without deleting the old one. 4. The BIGGEST ISSUE is how incompetent they are when it comes to insurance billing. Every time I've been here, insurance has not been billed properly!! Several times they billed under the wrong doctor's name, which caused my insurance to think the bills were out of network and created a huge issue. Then, the blood they drew right there IN OFFICE, without a word of explanation regarding any potential insurance issues, was apparently sent to a lab that was out of my network without my knowledge. I then received an explanation of benefits from this out of network lab stating I could owe over $2,000. They admitted it was their mistake, but I don't trust that they're going to sort things out properly. Go anywhere else. read more

With the exception of the staff, this doctor's practice was a negative experience for me. If I remember correctly, I think the practice schedules Saturday appointments once a month. Don't quote me on that, though. Anyway, I relocated to the area so it was time for me to find a new OB/GYN. My initial, and only, visit with Dr. Kota was very brief. When I arrived, I had to wait for about 20 minutes even though there was just one other patient waiting. The Dr. spoke to me for about 8 minutes. During that time, he went over my medical history. He ended the conversation by suggesting that I get a blood test on my next visit. I declined because I had a voluntary blood screening done two months prior with another clinic. I thought this was odd because no other doctor ever asked me for blood test before, especially not for a regular pap smear. On my second visit, I waited for a little over 35 minutes to see a different doctor (not Dr. Kota). My exam went fine. The doctor left the room. I was concerned, though, because my specimen was left on the counter unlabeled. I walked down the hall to find the doctor to no avail. No one was around. So, I walked back to the exam room and wrote my name on the specimen. Within 10 days, I received a phone call informing me that my results were normal. I received my claim statement followed by three more. I logged onto my insurance company's website and saw that the practice actually submitted a total of five claims. The insurance company did not pay the fifth one. This office submitted a total of $565.00 worth of claims that were paid (or $715.00 worth of claims for the 5th claim). That is VERY expensive for a 8 minute consult and a routine pap. When I called the practice with my insurance rep on the line, the person agreed that the amount billed was excessive. She said that she would look into and call me back. I never heard from her. A month later, they submitted the 5th claim. I did not go back to this medical office again. I've kept records of my medical history/bills/insurance summary for the past 6 years. This office was by far the most expensive for such a routine procedure. read more

Dr. Kota is condescending, seemingly to make up for his lack of knowledge. He talks down to the staff frequently. The small waiting room has several headshots of him, strangely enough. The staff, though very nice, also has questionable competence. Having a blood test, the nurse could not find a vein (something I never have trouble with) and literally dug around in my arm for several minutes. Eventually, I passed out... Please, please, please do not use this doctor. There are too many other better options! read more

I can't say anything Pleasant about this place. The nurse practitioner Rachel basically injected my face with saline or what was considered bad Botox because I spent almost a grand having my face filled with almost 72 units of Botox and it did absolutely nothing. After privately speaking with her over social media she suggested that I come back in and get more units put in my face and I had to pay for them. I went back to my original dermatologist and she said that the product is it actually expired and are just failing and she checked and it wasn't Botox at all so she has no idea what she's giving and Dr. coda made no effort to refund my money and/or make me happy at all and she said that she did everything in her power to make me happy. I want to put excessive bruising and wires laughter with a ton of movement in my face which I've never had before. Reading this place I spent all my brilliant distinction points on that and I was even giving a discount and even with the discount I spent a grand getting what was called and Botox and she even called the company and said I'm really not sure why this isn't working and a person who is injecting somebody with their hearing that scared me because I had received Botox six years prior to this so I knew that something was wrong but I let her go out it anyway. If I could racist zero stars I definitely would do not and I mean do not see anyone at this practice they are extremely unfriendly extremely impatient And Rachel felt like I kept bothering her everything will time that I would reach out to her. Normally in the past when I saw a dermatologist or Botox I would get a redo for more injections at no cost to me and I would regularly get 40 to 250 units of Botox and I received on this evening for Botox this is absolutely ridiculous she's the worst nurse practitioner I've ever met and she just sits in the back talking to her associates and they actually have no clue what's going on. I would NEVER recommend this place!!! The doctor is a complete sexist and the nurse practitioner is quite honestly A complete unprofessional nurse. She made no attempt at correcting the situation and just kept charging so I stopped going and she said that she apologized but would still charge me for extra Botox which is completely unacceptable. My goal was to exchange services with her to link up and thank Client and basically I removed all my clients from the practice because they were not getting results either sell my final thoughts are do not go to practice do not see Rachel or Dr. Kody and go somewhere else because you'll be wasting your money and you'll be very unhappy with the results Rachel should be fired and her license and should be taken away and so should Dr. Kota! I would rather do it myself than have someone drain my account because they don't know what they are doing. So I'm going to call the practice so can I get my money back or file a lawsuit (one of the my options) and if I don't get my money back there will be a lawsuit pending! So long story short. Don't waste your time or your money going to this place because the complete rip off you might as well just buy your own bag and Celine and disinfect your face because I wanna good bruising and happy results anyway so they clearly don't know what they're doing. Family disappointed and incredibly short of money I should've done my research before I actually went there. Don't waste your time or your money are better places out there and I repeat not one of them!!! And I live a long way from their practice and I was expecting the best because I was given all this great information and walked away with nothing but water in my face and breathing and I'm very disrespectful nurse and doctor read more

Worst place to go to if you need to do a drug screening for a job. Made me wait over 35 minutes with no other patients in the back and one other person in the waiting room. Seems that sales people take precedence over anyone. I can understand ten to fifteen minutes at the most to wait with a full bladder but beyond that is just rude and unprofessional. Also, they have no place to lock up your belongings, so be warned. Two thumbs down. Worst place ever. read more

Dr Kota and nurse practitioner Rachel have always been very thorough and good. I have always had wonderful luck with the nurses drawing blood, they do a wonderful job. But it has become difficult to get through to the office to set appointments, to get return calls, or they do not call the correct number you leave so you do not get the message. I have gone to Premier Physicians, in Bolingbrook, for Laser Hair Removal and have been thrilled with not only my experience...but also with my results. The office is also comfortable and kept very clean. My interaction with the staff has always been pleasant and I consistently look forward to my next visit. It's clear that this office has no clue as to what they are doing when its 2014 and I am just now receiving a bill for 2011 that I was never billed for before. Then as I am standing in the lobby waiting to talk to the Dr. Kota about the bill I over hear him bad mouthing a current employee to other employees and staff.
