She delivered excellent service without stalking us as we browsed the store. It is a skilled sales person who can answer all our questions, help with ideas, get quotes, set an expectation for delivery times (which were spot on btw) and process the paperwork all while giving us space and making us feel heard. I just bought a recliner from Evans Furniture. It was an all-round good experience. First, I can't say enough about my salesperson, Logan. Over the couple weeks it took me to pick the best option for my ailing back, he was always patient, helpful and knowledgeable. And importantly, he put NO pressure on me to buy something. He's one of the best (and sweetest) salespeople I've encountered. The store itself is nice, too. I prefer to shop locally when I can, and their big showroom has a fabulous selection. No need to travel to a bigger city for better choices. And to my surprise, their prices are very competitive, so I felt I got a good deal on my chair. I also have high praise for the other staff in the store, from the amazing manager Lisa to the owner to the delivery people. They all cheerfully made my experience a pleasant one. Don't buy Lazy Boy from Evans. I got a recliner and was told that they could put a swivel base on any chair. Went home to Folsom and placed phone order with Evans. When the chair was delivered ($180) the base was unstable and didn't work right. It had an ugly half circle in back, was 4 1/2", not 3", off the ground, tipped to the ground when footrest extended. Impossible to recline! It also was high enough to crush a pet or childs head. I wanted to return it. I was told they wouldn't take anything back because of covid (it's leather!) I was never told this. The manager, Alan, offered to put the regular base back on (for $75). When I expressed concern to him about my dog's head getting crushed he dismissed me and just said "cute pup". So dismissive! I was so upset and disgusted I went to the Lazy Boy store. They said Evans should have showed me a swivel base and the differences. They were surprised Evans wouldn't take it back. Lazy Boy direct sent a tech out. Lazy Boy (direct!) was awesome. There was a way to modify base to make it less "tippy" and lower. Evans is clueless, service was terrible and they were NOT knowledgable. Buy direct from a Lazy Boy store. Yelp hasn't posted all my pics...will try later. They show how it's impossible to recline with the swivel base before modification. Evans did nothing!!! read more

This by far has to be the worst furniture store my love and I have gone too, we put couches on layaway and they kept trying to deliver them on random days and times without any scheduled deliveries when we hadn't paid it off yet. The customer service is so sad, none of them have any answers and will just send you to the regional office. If I was you I would just go to auburn or sac looking for furniture, that's what we ended up doing for the rest of our house. read more

I came into Evans Furniture with certain criteria in mind for a new sofa. I conveyed this to Leasa S. and she kindly showed me everything in their inventory that might possibly work. I went home with a couple of top contenders in mind. Leasa wrote the info of my favorite sofa on the back of her card and said if I decided I wanted to purchase it, I could even just call in and arrange everything over the phone. After going to Sacramento and seeing what else might be out there (nothing I liked and triple the price), I gave Leasa a call and 2 business days later I now have my new sofa that I love. When you purchase furniture they also sell you a "protection package" which is supposed to cover your furniture for damage. They claim you will receive info and details in the mail. After several trips to the store to ask about this nothing has ever been received. Perhaps it is a sham and just another way to get money without providing a service? read more

We had the worst experience ever. We went into the store and looked at area rugs. We decided on one and ordered the 8' X 10' size. When we came to pick it up, it was 5' X 8'. We let them know and they ordered the correct size while we were there. They said it would be about 6 weeks. Well it was 8 weeks. We went to pick it up and guess what. It was 5' X 8' again. At that point , we just wanted our money back. 3 months later and 3 trips to the store and they still could not get it right. We live an hour away. We will never shop there again. read more
