For a mattress costing over $5,000, this level of inconsistency and service is unacceptable. We purchased the Lago Nouveau Certified Organic Mattress from OMI/Lifekind on July 29th. The mattress delivered to our home did not match the product advertised on their website. The law tag, stitched branding, material percentages, and certification labels were all inconsistent with the specifications listed for the Lago Nouveau. The mattress cover we received said "OrganicPedic Earth" instead of "OrganicPedic by OMI," and the tag listed only 85% organic latex foam, which did not match the higher organic content promoted online. We inspected the mattress immediately upon delivery. Due to the discrepancies and our medical sensitivities, we did not use it beyond a brief test. The mattress remained unused while we attempted to resolve the matter. The mattress was also undersized. It was advertised as a 10.5-inch profile, but the product delivered measured roughly 8.5 inches in height and approximately one inch short in length. When we contacted the company for assistance, customer service advised us to "stand on the corners of the mattress" to stretch it out. This instruction was unprofessional and an unsatisfactory solution for a premium organic mattress. Multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with the company went unanswered. Phone calls did not connect to a representative, and email responses were significantly delayed. It wasn't until we filed a dispute with our bank that any meaningful progress occurred. After reviewing the evidence, USAA determined the product was misrepresented and issued a permanent refund on November 11th (Veterans Day). Although the refund was final and the chargeback was closed, OMI/Lifekind contacted us and threatened to send our account to collections unless we arranged a return within 10 days. They later hired a third-party disposal service (LoadUp) to pick up the mattress. The crew confirmed they were instructed to discard the mattress as bulk waste, not recover it for inspection or reuse, directly contradicting the company's public claims about sustainability and responsible manufacturing. This review is being shared to help other consumers, especially veterans and medically sensitive individuals, make an informed decision before purchasing from this company. We received a product that did not match the advertised specifications, encountered poor communication, and experienced concerning follow-up conduct even after our bank resolved the case. All glory to God for bringing this matter to a resolution.

Devon not only didn't know these bits of necessary information but conveyed to me in a 'very annoyed' tone of voice that he either didn't care or was too busy to check. The two delivery guys did call us 1/2 hour ahead of arrival..BUT had to be reminded by my husband to please 'mask up' but otherwise they were very nice. The Cabinet bed is perfectly beautiful! Our salesman was Daniel. We were leaving the store, without making a purchase, and he kept following us out and lowering the price on the mattress and waiving the delivery fee. Since we live in Colfax, we thought it was a good deal. He sold us last year's model of a mattress. He told us it had springs and foam. It was delivered Friday, November 29, 2024. It is a 6-inch foam mattress. It is also not completely sewn together. It is not the mattress that we ordered. On Monday, December 2, 2024, I called and asked to speak with Daniel to advise him that I was delivered the wrong mattress. I was advised that it was his day off. I called again on Tuesday. I was advised that he had gone home with a backache. I spoke to a man who said he could help me. He told me his name was "Luis". This was a lie. Nobody by that name works there. Yet, I spoke to someone for two days who alleged that he was "Luis". At this point, we decided to drive the 31 miles back to the furniture store to see if we could get them to deliver the correct mattress. I knew that this was going to be an effort in futility, but I felt that I had to give it a try. We entered the store and Daniel was there, he was assisting another customer. There is a man, whose name I do not know, who is always sitting in the back of the store. We were in the front of the store, and he shouted to me that he could help me. I asked if he was the manager/owner, and he said he was one of them. I told him my issue. He looked up my sales ticket. He said that I got the correct mattress, but if I was not happy with it, he would upgrade it for me, for an additional cost. He asked me what I expected for the price I paid. I showed him the mattress that Daniel told me I was getting, and he laughed. Daniel was still with a customer at the front of the store. We went to the front of the store to wait for him. As she walked by me to leave, I told her to spend her money somewhere else or she would be sorry. The manager started screaming at us to get out of his store. We left the store, and the lady was outside waiting for us. I told her to go home and read the Yelp reviews, something I should have done before I ever went there. She said she wanted bedroom furniture. I told her to find a reputable furniture store to shop at. I hope she heeds my warning, or she will be the next bad review. I do not care what they say to you, they are liars, scammers and thieves and those are their good qualities. Once they have your money, you are dead to them. I will stand in their parking lot and let anyone who is planning to shop there that they are making a huge mistake. I will be filing complaints with each and every agency that governs scammers such as these. This is also elder abuse. Any review on this or any other site that praises them, was written by them. They are underhanded in everything that they do. If you are a victim of these scammers, please file a police report with Roseville Police Department. The size won't work in the new house and it has been QUITE the challenge finding a worthy replacement. After visiting virturally every mattress store within the area, we were between a few at Delta Bedding and others at Big Box stores. To our regret, we ultimately decided upon Delta Bedding to support a local company that has been in business for over 40 years. This was a poor decision on our behalf as you are only given 30 days to try out the mattress. We went on vacation and upon our return surpassed that 30 day limit. We were told not to worry, they would make things right and suggested we walk on the bed twice a day and break it in. We did so and still no luck. The bed we received was not as soft as the one we tried in the store. After the walking on it daily didn't do help to break it in, we asked if we could trade it in for a different mattress and pay the difference, re-stocking fee, etc but they would not do anything as we were over that 30 day window. So now we are stuck with an almost $2k mattress thats been sitting in an encasement in our garage since we found another mattress that doesn't cause us to wake up in extreme pain daily. Both of us were living at Chiropractor and Acupuncturist. We are extremely fit in our very early 40s and have never had such issues with a mattress. Moral of the story is to buy a mattress with a better return policy because as we all know the quality of sleep is ESSENTIAL to our overall health and well-being.
