The stylist, Pam, who was assisting me yesterday was... interesting. So asked to see pictures of styles I like and she started pulling dresses. She pulled one, and axed it by saying was too old-looking for me, "like something for someone on their second time around." I said, "it is my second time around." When I expressed my concern that a strapless dress emphasizes my broad shoulders, she told me it was body dysmorphia. She asked if I was going to cover up my tattoos. (Why would I?) While I was in a mermaid style dress, she commented about my hip dips, and tugged on the dress there, saying it was loose just right there. She kept asking me, "what makes you feel like a bride? What does this dress have to have for you to like it?" And got annoyed when I said it was more of a feeling, not a specific detail. She told me a dress looked nice on me and followed it up with "and you can trust me because I told you those other dresses wouldn't look good on you." And also informed me she doesn't work on commission. This is only the second shop I went to, the first that isn't a chain store. Overall I liked aspects of the dresses I tried but I felt rushed and pressured, and mildly offended by some of her comments. She did put a veil on me and that almost made me cry. Just the veil, nothing to do with the dress. (My first marriage did not include a wedding or wedding dress, so this is all new to me.) Oh, and I emailed the store looking for a specific dress from a designer they carry when I set my appointment. The didn't bother to tell me they didn't have the dress I was looking for until I was in the dressing room. She had mentioned dresses she pulled as being similar (they weren't) and it wasn't until I asked if they had it that I was told they didn't. I was a bit irked about that. It very much seems as if they intentionally forwent telling me that just to get me into the store, so they could try to get me to buy something else. read more

This was the second appointment for wedding dress shopping we had on this day. Our consultant had talked to my daughter several times leading up to the appointment and was aware of what she desired in the perfect dress. The consultant was interested in the first appointment and asked what my daughter liked and disliked about the dresses she had already tried on. My daughter tried on 2 dresses that were clearly matched with the requests my daughter made. The second one was perfect. My daughter said YES! and cried as she stood there looking like the gorgeous bride she had dreamed of being. read more

The alterations were completely wrong and when asked to come to a second fitting they asked us to take PTO from work to accommodate to THEIR schedule even though they were the ones that messed up. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Evaline is absolutely so rude and doesn't provide a positive experience. I bought a wedding dress from her and each time I went to pick it up, there was a new stain. She kept sending it to the "dry cleaner" (her husband) and each time, the dress came back worse. I spent nearly 900 dollars for my nieces prom dress and was told that included alterations. I find out that when my sister brought my niece in they charged her 160 dollars for alterations !!!! This is fraud and I will be disputing charges with my bank! The owner is claiming that it's stated in the contract . Your own sales associate blatantly lied about alterations being included in the price when I asked why the dress cost so much! read more

Evaline's. Terrible, terrible Evaline's. I've seen way more BAD reviews than good ones. I've not had a pleasant run with them either. First of all, they make you feel less fortunate if you cannot afford a gown that is thousands of dollars. What tops the cake for me is, I put $400 down for the dress I want. $400 freaking dollars. I began making my payments. I asked in SEPTEMBER when my ship date would be for this gown. I was told within the next few weeks. Ok, great. Fast forward to January. I called and asked when my dress would be shipped. They needed a week to get back to me. Laughing out loud at this point. They call me back and say it should be here by June. JUNE?! I ordered that dress in MAY 2019! They are full of crap. Do not go there. I don't know how they are even still in business. I've heard plenty of horror stories about them. I went to Evaline's Bridal in Warren, OH after attending their Bridal Show at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, OH. I was very excited and nervous as this was my first time trying on wedding gowns. Needless to say I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND Evalines Bridal unless you are fortunate enough to be able to spend THOUSANDSSSS of dollars on your wedding dress. When I went in I was greeted at the counter by Mary Katherine. She began asking me what I was looking for in a gown. I explained that I like bling and sparkle as well as lace. She then asked me by budget. I told her it is $1,000. Now mind you I am a 28 yr. old bride who has been working full time and living independently since I was 18 years old. I am paying out of pocket for my wedding with some help from my mother who is retired. My fiancée is working on buying us our first home this year so that is where his money is committed. After I told Mary Katherine my budget she basically scoffed and told me that I was not going to find what I want in that price range. She then offered to see what she could find and offered to put me in a dress that fits what I was looking for so that "I could see what a little more money would do." I firmly told her that I did not want to do that at all as my budget is very firm. We then looked at a few gowns on the rack. She pointed out one and told me that it was $1300 but that it would be more what I was looking for. I agreed to try on this gown as $300 wouldn't be completely impossible. I tried on a total of 3 dresses. Mary Katherine even offered me an additional 10% off of my gown. How nice right? I was told by Mary Katherine that they were all the same price range. I fell in love with the 3rd gown that I tried on. Mary Katherine asked if she could get the matching veil. I asked the price of it and she said it was $200. I tried it all on and I was close to tears. I finally composed myself and went back to the dressing room where she checked the prices while I got changed. She then told me the dress was actually $1600 and that the veil was $300. Far cry off of $1300 and $200 that she initially quoted me. As I was a hopeful bride enamored by the dress I asked her to get the total amount together for me. She came back with a paper with $2185 written on it and told me that the slip, alterations and 2 other charges (that I didn't understand) to the tune of $260 were included in that price. Mary Katherine did EXACTLY what I was firm in asking her not to do at the start of my appointment. She put me in a dress that was LITERALLY TWO AND A HALF TIMES MY BUDGET. Mary Katherine got my hopes up so high. Reality set in and when I finally called back the following day to tell the receptionist that I will have to pass it was everything that I could do to not break out into tears. Needless to say I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND Evalines Bridal unless you are fortunate enough to be able to spend THOUSANDSSSS of dollars on your wedding dress. read more

I cannot say enough about how horrible my experience was with Evaline's. After the first appointment where I purchased my $$$$ dress and paid for it in full, everything was a complete disaster. I tried time and time again to have faith that they would apologize, do the right thing, or that my next experience wouldn't be as awful as the last appointment, but every single time I was let down. At exactly 37 days before my wedding I was left having to find a completely new dress as they ordered my original dress 2 sizes too small and they could not guarantee the correct replacement dress would come in, in a timely manner. We were fortunate enough to get our money back, but only after repeatedly going back and forth with the owner and after her nickel and diming us for every last penny. I am one of 4 people I know personally have had a horrible experience with this bridal salon. I also notice that they continue to delete their negative reviews so I will be checking periodically to make sure that mine was not taken down, or I will gladly repairs it. If you want the memory of your wedding dress to be absolutely tarnished, to deal with an owner who never apologizes and always acts like it's "your" issue and that you're the one being difficult, then this is your place. read more

I so glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. These girls are awesome! Great Customer Service. Great Everything! I was looking for a mother of bride dress. I am very hard to fit. I was upset because the dress I had my heart set on, didn't come in my color. Evalines Bridal told me of some websites to look on that may have similar dresses. After a week of looking online, I ended up going to another bridal store. There - a lot of the dresses didn't work at all, but I was able to find one dress there that was a different style of dress all together. I love it. The bridal store said "the only issue was the manufacture was closed in New York because of Covid." They had NO idea when they would open and it took 6 months to get it in - when they did open! They said they would keep calling the manufacture until they got a hold of them. I called Evalines Bridal on my way home and gave them my dress item number and prayed hard they would have luck finding it. I figured NO WAY, right? The manufacture was closed. The very next day, Evalines Bridal called - they were able to get my dress in my size and color. It's been 4 weeks and I still haven't heard from the OTHER bridal store. Evalines Bridal is what a bridal store is suppose to be - a great experience. They went to the ends of the world for me. And for that - I'll be back when the next one gets married! read more
