My husband and I got married in June and I am still in awe of the absolutely STUNNING bouquet that Erica and Barbie at EV florals created for me. It's the star of all of our wedding photos. I know nothing about florals and did an absolutely atrocious job giving the EV floral team any kind of direction (think wildly different inspo photos, lots of conflicting style notes etc). But I feel like Erica and Barbie looked into my heart and created such a unique and deeply gorgeous bouquet with tulips and ranunculus and even blueberries that was perfect for me! As a Napa Wedding Photographer I contracted Erica's services for a Styled Editorial Photoshoot. Now only did Erica work closely with the Wedding Planner who was contracted to design the shoot, she went above and beyond our expectations. Although we had seen her work previously and agreed it was gorgeous, she raised the bar with our shoot! Erica is fantastic! My husband and I got married in Sept. 2011 and she did all of the flowers for our wedding. She was an absolute DREAM to work with and I recommend her to every person I can! Erica did my wedding day flowers last weekend. I gave her control to choose the flowers and overall look of the bouquets, giving her the general color scheme I would like. All items were beautiful. My bridal bouquet was so beautiful, as were the boutonnieres. I was especially in love with our floral archway for the ceremony and the floral runner on our sweet heart table. Although, we did not go with the caterer, we did contact EV Floral design, and immediately, I knew that this small town girl, with big city style was for me. We live in the Chicago area and were planning a September 2011 destination wedding to a vineyard in Sonoma County, CA. Planning a wedding in general is a lot of work so I am sure you could imagine the extra work to plan one from afar. We relied a lot on referrals, the internet, lots of e-mails and photos and 1 pre-wedding visit to California to meet everyone we had chosen. Boy were we a bit nervous about that first visit. However, we have to say there is not one thing we would have changed about what we did and who we chose. Our entire wedding and everyone we worked with exceeded our expectations and our florist Erica Grube was outstanding! Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Being in the "creative" industry myself and a graphic designer by education, I am more about uniqueness, contrast and deep rich colors vs. the traditional. However, we had no clue what type of flowers we wanted. So the only direction we gave Erica is that we envisioned a vibrant rich fall color pallet of oranges, purples, reds, etc. and a budget. Erica was great. She had lots of ideas, stayed within budget and never seemed to get irritated with the many questions or e-mails, etc. So when the wedding day came and we saw the design plan come to life, we were thrilled.
