I got an appointment, they had two mechanics look at it and drive it, and they determined it was a minor sound coming from a strut and needed no repair. I was very grateful that they didn't just do a bunch of expensive work I didn't need since I'm mid trip and would have paid for it - no question. Then, to my surprise, they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis bc there was nothing to fix. Just told me to have a safe trip. This auto repair shop clearly has a ton of integrity and many loyal customers - like my friends mom who recommended it.

And there are *no hard sells*. I know just enough about cars to be dangerous, so I know when I'm being sold a schlock job or something that isn't needed. Marcin and his mechanics look at your vehicle and then explain, in great detail, what they recommend doing now (time for that maintenance item, safety issue, fire hazard, etc.) and what they recommend doing but can wait a bit. They also tell you when you *don't* need something done. Who does that?? He only supplies quality parts, and OEM when he can. The latter isn't always possible so that's when he switches to high quality, as-close-to-OEM-as-possible. It's just a great place to take your car. You leave feeling really comfortable that the job was done, done very well, and that the work is all guaranteed. And he does guarantee his work. We'll be customers forever.

Please refer to this thread: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/2011-2014-mustangs-354/954356-avoid-jj-woodbine-motorsports.html I had JJ @ Woodbine Motorsports tune my car for Mustang week 2013. JJ rushed my car to completion so that he could attend an NMRA race in Chicago. JJ lied to me about sending me a good tune for my car and tried to enter me into a catch-22 where no matter what I did to resolve the issue with the tune, I would appear in the wrong. JJ admitted that he lied in the thread I've listed above. His personal races, King's Dominion and a plethora of other activities take precedence over your hard earned hot-rod and your safety. My car was actually finished a few hours earlier than expected, which I appreciated. However, I was told I couldn't pick it up until 5:45 because that's when the owner would be available. That was frustrating, especially given the circumstances. I had to have a starting device installed due to a legal situation that was handled improperly, so I was already stressed about having to spend this money in the first place. David was very understanding about that, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner was not pleasant. When I spoke with him on the phone, he told me I needed to hurry because he had to "go over things" with me and would be leaving for a few hours. I explained that I didn't need assistance using the device -- I simply needed to pay and pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, he was short and unfriendly. He repeatedly asked if I knew how to use the device, even after I assured him multiple times that I was fine. He then said, "Well, I don't think you'll be able to do it," which felt unnecessary and dismissive. He handed me paperwork to sign with little to no explanation, didn't return my key until I asked for it, and overall made the experience uncomfortable. I walked to my car and started it without any issue. It's disappointing because David provided excellent customer service, and good auto service can be hard to find. However, my interaction with the owner would make me hesitant to return, aside from the required monthly appointments for the device. I hope the owner considers improving customer communication and professionalism, as it would make a big difference in the overall customer experience.
