Eurostars Lisboa Baixa is a modern boutique hotel conveniently located on Rua de Prata, just a short walk from the Baixa-Chiado metro station, as well as shopping, restaurants, and popular sightseeing spots. The hotel's decor features tasteful blue hues and warm golden accents in both the common areas and guest rooms. It has five floors and over 50 rooms.
Room:
My room was a good size with comfy beds and black-and-white Lisbon photos on the walls. The tech features were a highlight. I appreciated being able to control the intensity of lighting in the room with the touch of a button. Also, I could connect my phone simultaneously to the Bluetooth speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, which made it easy to hear my music or podcasts from anywhere in the room. The bathroom had lighted mirrors, pleasantly scented soap, and useful extras like a comb and a dental kit. Robes and a fabric steamer were also provided.
One downside was the lack of a peephole on the door. During my stay, someone knocked and didn't respond when I asked who it was. I didn't open the door and it felt unsettling not knowing who was there. The walls were thin. I could clearly hear the person in the neighboring room one night, though earplugs helped. The view wasn't much, which is typical for a central city location.
Amenities:
The gym was small and functional, with a few machines and free weights for a decent workout. There's a restaurant on-site, which I didn't try because of the many great dining options nearby. I also skipped the minibar in the room.
Service:
The staff were polite, though not particularly warm.
Final Thoughts:
This hotel is a solid choice for its central location, stylish design, and smart room features. Despite minor drawbacks like thin walls and the lack of a peephole, I'd stay here again. It's comfortable, convenient, and well-equipped. read more
