Jim trouble shot the issue, found the issue, and gave me the easiest and most cost effective solution. I was fully informed, and felt confident in their advice, and got my car back in no time. It feels great having a good, reliable and honest car mechanic that I can rely on. Highly recommend!

I pulled over and liquid was spraying everywhere over the engine. I added water, said a prayer, and endured a white knuckle ride along steep mountain roads with nowhere to pull over and no cell service. Thankfully I made it to the hotel in Gatlinburg where the rest of the coolant poured out of the car into the parking lot. I called Tony the next morning after checking out their reviews and he told me to drop the car off which I did at 10 AM. A few how hours later he had it diagnosed as a burned hole in a coolant hose caused by rubbing against the radiator due to poor design. I authorized fixing it and by 2 o'clock he had me back on the road for an extremely fair price. You do not want to pay dealer prices and these guys are very reasonable. I worked in a mechanics shop for 20 years so I know honest mechanics and Tony and Jim are it. If you have a problem with your vehicle in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville take it here. These are the guys to go to. I couldn't be happier. PS. Made it back to Florida after driving straight through for 12 hours with no problems. Thanks again guys.

They took my car apart and told me about 4 different things that needed to be fixed that had nothing to do with what is wrong with it. They priced it at $497, and when we told them we didn't have that much to spend because we already knew what was wrong and what it should cost us they told us it would still be 3 hours before our car was ready because they had to "put it back together" and the dude working on it was on a lunch break... so without even getting any service done they took 4 hours and charged us $119 just to tell us what the alleged "problem" was... they have no idea what they are doing and they are very rude and lazy.

Owner, Patrick, as well as rest of staff communicated very well throughout the process- in fact better than salvage company and even found a better deal on the part. The process took longer than expected solely due to salvage company delays. Service Street was on their game every time I called for updates and helped expedite the process faster than other locations might have. I will be back as I appreciated the staffs ability to communicate service without hesitation or attempt to upsell or find additional problems.

Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".

They tell you that you need repairs that are not needed. They leave your drain plug loose. I warned the current manager charge a customer for a fuel system service that he knew hadn't been done. Nearly had to pull a customer off of him for quoting a customer $695 for repairs and when the man came in the manager told him his bill was almost $1,200. This was an everyday occurrence! The regional manager told me he didn't care what we sold customers but to just sell anything! He said selling something kept the Boogie Man away! The new regional manager told me to put my Big Boy Pants on and go sell something! I almost curb stomped him! They pad their reviews to cover up the truth! I documented over 15 instances of wrong doing and misrepresenting repairs. The icing on the cake was the Quote, Lead Technician was regularly found asleep in a car or underneath a vehicle. I even have several pictures of him snoozing! They left the oil drain plug loose on the son of a UT Quarterbacks truck and it lost 2 quarts of oil and put Dawn dishwashing liquid in the wiper reservoir and caused it to clog up and quit Before he made it home! Trail of Tears here people! The truth is what it is. All they want to do is ring their cash register at your expense! If you don't believe me ask the people that live in the 37922 area code.

This will be a long post, but only for providing the full story to explain my rating: Previously, I went to the Solway or Farragut locations; but, after having a horrible experience at the Farragut location, I decided to try Northshore. Every experience I had until last week was great. I went in for my last oil change on the 5 pack deal. Once the oil change was complete, I left and in less than 1 mile the check engine light appeared (it was not on previously). I figured I could take my vehicle back for a quick check. The technician came back and said they cleared the code since they could not figure out the issue. I drove off and this time at approximately the same distance (less than 1 mile), not only did the check engine light appear but the oil pressure light, as well. I drove my car a little further thinking that the lights might turn off. They did not. I went back to the Northshore location and told them that I now have 2 lights that appeared. I was then told that the last location that performed the oil change "manipulated" an oil filter to fit my vehicle and I also had the wrong oil filter housing. I immediately told them that their location was the only one to change the oil in my vehicle since the oil filter housing was replaced in Jan 2023 and I had experienced no issues until NOW. They told me to take my vehicle back to the shop that originally replaced the oil filter housing; however, I did not feel safe driving the vehicle with both the check engine and oil pressure lights illuminated. Brandy (location manager) called a tow truck for me as transportation to the other shop (located in Corryton, TN). When the other shop looked at the housing they immediately found out it was CRACKED!!! I called the Northshore location back to reveal the issue. Brandy was not there so I spoke with another associate. He told me that if I brought the vehicle back they would fix it for "free". I told this associate that I no longer trust their shop and that I also believe they cracked the housing (which is why I believe the lights appeared after driving away from their shop) and that they should have checked more closely before I left. He told me the regional manager (I believe his name is Kevin) would call me later to discuss. I can not confirm that he ever called because, if he did, I did not answer nor did he leave a voice mail asking me to call him back. I hope this information helps someone from experiencing the same issues I had at this shop last week. Problems like this can be made at any mechanic. I should have figured if I was allowed to drive away without without being told about the "manipulated" filter then other serious issues existed since the check engine and oil pressure lights were illuminated. I wish I had taken photos of the "manipulated" oil filter as evidence. I also wish I had looked closer at the filter housing before I left this location. I probably would have noticed the cracked housing and not had to spend almost $1000 to fix a problem that NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED!!!
