I took my B8 Audi here for a repair and some general maintenance based on their top notch reputation in the Audi/VW world. After confirming my own personal diagnosis of a bad wheel bearing, they clearly outlined the repair costs and options, as well as identified a few things to keep an eye on in the future. At no point did they get pushy or suggest unnecessary repairs. The transparency is much appreciated and is what sets them apart from less reputable shops. Keep in mind, if you are a brand new customer, they may request you pay for the parts over the phone when you give them your verbal authorization to perform the repair. I think this is to protect them from customers trying to scam them which is reasonable. Additionally, they don't have the convenient loaner cars or the long hours the dealer has, but people who come here don't do so for the convenience. They told me the oil leak was small and to ignore it, then made a recommendation that the lines for my turbos were afraid. Everywhere I went to said that RSW probably has never seen that kind of engine because the lines were not afraid, they were tapered and anyone who knows the make should know this. Then I came another time for coolant temperature warnings. They told me it would take an hour so I waited, but after an hour, they didn't do anything and told me that they needed to do a smoke test, another hour went by and nothing was done. They told me that the smoke test had a cost, but it would be applied if I ended up having the repair done by them. I got annoyed that for all of the time I've been sitting there, nothing was done. They also claimed that there was a giant puff of white smoke when they started my car and asked how have I never noticed that? I told them I've been driving the car for a while and have never seen it happen. Even afterwards, I would start the car and ask others to watch it to see if there's any white smoke and no one ever saw any white smoke.
