Yeah, so, I have been told quite a few times not to go through these guys. The whole time I stood by them and were like "no, they are awesome.". Unfortunately, I have to say something because wow... I have taken my car in to these guys and they have done a good job fixing the things that I have paid for them to replace. However; here's the upsetting part... I took my car into them 3 times in a row telling them "it's running funny", "it's acting weird", etc. I also give them a little info... "while I was out of town I changed the spark plugs myself. You might want to start there, in case I did something wrong as I am not certified but they are. They assured me it wasn't the problem. They even said "It was driving fine, no issue." and to "keep driving it around until something popped up on the dashboard". Love that for me. Even told me that it "sounds" like and is "probably" a piston ring which would be a $8,000 fix. Went on a 1,000 mile (one way) road trip it almost gave out 35 miles before the destination. Thank you to new friends, I knew someone to help me. 15 minutes later... he SHOWED me that I, in fact, had forgotten to tighten my spark plugs. Also, thank you to my friends... even after pushing the car as much as I had... with a little bit of cleaning and proper putting it back together... compression test was perfect and she was running like normal. Beats $8,000 motor replacement... just saying. read more

My R60 had its first major problem after just rolling over 150,000 miles It's 4:30, doors won't unlock after driving all the way to Billings to get an o-ring for our truck that went down earlier. We are on a 2mo road trip, starting from home in S FL, around the US. On 7/1, the check engine light lit up in our 2013 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid. We made it into Billings around 5pm, found this place online, and called the number twice and left a message. Ian called me back immediately and invited me in for a diagnostic, even though he was closing in 5min. 45min later, and a couple of diagnostic tests, we had a really good evaluation of the issue and we were able to rock on with the trip. The piece of mind was worth everything. The facility was clean, organized, and Ian was forthcoming with any details that I could follow. ive already had a full check on my car, they wouldn't even do a regular voltage check on my european car without a full diagnostic. they were very rude about it. if you want a full service shop that doesn't treat you like garbage if you don't want to spend 200 for them to do nothing but read some meters, go elsewhere. read more

On a long drive from Seattle to Miami, the last thing you want to deal with is power steering issues. Luckily, I was close enough to Billings that I could limp my 2004 325i in to have Quinn take a look. These guys are the real deal. Within minutes Quinn had diagnosed the issue with my Power Steering Pump And was able to find the pump in town at a great price. After replacing the pump, he gave the car a quick inspection - for free. I'm guessing that alone would've cost $100+ elsewhere. He then proceeded to give me some help with the aftermarket HID lights that had been having issues since Missoula. Then on top of that, he offered to replace the oil filter housing gasket (that I've had leaking for quite some time) at a fraction of the price that I've been quoted elsewhere. Thereafter, he proceeded to smoke my car to help me find the cause of a lean code (unfortunately to no avail). We then found that I had broken the Oil Dipstick off in the tube. After taking the tube off and diagnosing that the plastic components of the min/max levels on the dipstick had broken off, Quinn walked out to his e36 and offered to give me his dipstick. When it was all said and done, I didn't want to leave. Having European Performance service my car was the best shop experience I've ever had. Ian and Quinn were fantastic! Our family was in the middle of a seven week RV road trip and our Sprinter RV chassis check engine light came on. We were able to make it into Billings where we could find an auto supply store. We did so and needed help installing a couple glow plugs. We looked up and auto repair service in town and European performance popped up with good reviews, not to mention, a couple young strapping guys running the show! They gladly took us in immediately and began work on replacing the glow plugs. We felt really good about their knowledge and command of German technology but what was stood out further was their rapport, demeanor and customer centric focus. We decided to ask them to perform an oil change service as well. No problem at all! I highly recommend Ian and Quinn's European Performance shop! read more

European performance in billings MT is hands down the best mechanic repair shop in town. After just about giving up finding a good shop that specializes in European vehicles, a buddy of mine recommended them after being serviced. From the first experience of driving over for a quote on my vw golf, I was impressed with Ian and Quinn's friendliness, and professionalism. As I walked into the shop, I was greeted with a smile (rare these days) and a will to fix my cars issues. I came in for a quote for my a/c was not blowing cold (after 3 different shops looking at it and charging a lot of money and not fixing the problem) and they noticed my coolant light on my dash was low. They topped me off with the appropriate vw coolant, without even asking for it! My quote was more reasonable than other shops so I went ahead and had them fix it. Throughout the whole process, I felt like my car was in honest, professional hands. I also noticed they like to use better quality parts, not just the cheapest. Got my car back with 0 issues. I was thrilled to have a/c again after years of not working right. At another time, my shifter needed servicing, they handled it not problem. Every time I have stopped by for other services, they greet me by first name, and never felt pushed or rushed to get services I didn't need. I love my european vehicles, and with plenty of bad experiences with non specialized Audi/VW mechanics in this town, I must say, these guys have taken my worries away. I noticed they also work on BMW, Land Rover, Porsche, anything european for those who have other brands than audi/vw. Needless to say, I highly recommend them. Stop by and check them out. read more

Quinn and Ian did an absolutely wonderful job on my BMW. I called them on Tuesday afternoon and got the call that it would be done by Friday. Mind you this was the week of Christmas! Even with having a fully packed schedule they were able to get my car ready to hit the road in time for school and work. As a college student I was completely happy with the more than fair price and great customer service!
