I've visited other asian grocery stores, and usually they're so shy or aren't comfortable with the language that they avoid all questions, so coming here as my first time was a real eye opener and such a breath of fresh air :) Because a lot of these things don't come with an english translation on the back lol At the time I came, they didn't accept credit cards, only cash and debit, however I do hope that in the future they gain enough business to make it worth setting up their credit card proccessor. They didn't offer plastic bags though, only a nice quality logo'd shoping bag you buy for an extra dollar, which was fine for me, as least it's sturdy and I get to reuse it. This store is very small though, they don't have any fresh fruits or veggies, just dried things that last long, we well as a few frozen items and cooking pots. Though they do have all the dried essentials, as well as spices. I did find a good salty bean paste too. They did have many interesting ingredients as well, things I haven't seen before like dried bamboo fungus, which I consider to be a type of long white mushroom. I had originally wanted to go to the other asian grocery store which was huge, but it ended up being out of my way so I didn't have time to go, and happen to had found this place by accident, and honestly, I am really happy to know it's here now :)

This store holds lots of Chinese food and health supplies. I came in for a particular item called "Zheng Gu Shui" its the miracle oil to help rid of pain and to my luck They had it at the store for 9$ pretty happy I got 2 bottles ! I love trying different healthy & natural remedies to alleviate pain instead of a generic drug that stops working after 4 hours. Tons of interesting items from overseas and random things you can not think of they got it. The place is a bit run down and it seems like it doesn't have regular hours of operation but we were lucky to have it open when we were there. Overall, great find and totally recommend hopefully it will still be open next time we come back for more of that miracle oil bottle for chronic pain. It works like a charm.

I've been to the C&T located in the Ville Saint-Laurent / Cartierville area but this is their recently new location in Pierrefonds. This C&T location recently opened in Pierrefonds and was very large and clean. At the time that my friend and I arrived, there was plenty of available free parking close to the entrance. The large shopping carts work with the coin deposit/release system which I'm not a fan of. I know why a lot of stores implement this (mostly grocery stores) but since I'm one of the people who despite what the weather is like, I will always return my grocery shopping cart back to the area that they are supposed to be located after I put the items into my car, I find it more of a nuisance and I often don't carry a loonie or a two-nie with me to release the shopping cart. Luckily here, they have smaller red plastic grocery carts that you can use. These grocery carts can't leave the store so whatever you purchase in the store, you need to take them out of the cart and bring them to your car or whatever means of transportation you used to shop here. This place is very large and very clean. As it just recently opened, hopefully it stays this clean since the C&T location in the VSL/Cartierville area isn't as clean. I believe that this place opened in June 2023 (I visited in late July 2023). There is a minimum $10 amount if using your credit card for purchases. The prices were typical for a larger Asian grocery store and I found the prices to be very competitive and the fresh produce prices that I looked at and was interested in were lower than some of the prices that I saw in the bigger chains (Provigo, Maxi, Metro, Super-C, IGA). I can see myself returning here if I'm in the area. The only negative is that I need to make sure that I have my grocery bags or a loonie/two-nie in order to use the grocery cart if I'm purchasing a lot of items (and I generally don't have/keep my empty grocery bags in my car).

My wife is pregnant, she couldn't move fast and felt sad and angry about this thing. There is no respect from the the employee at this store. Please avoid this store. Our family was visiting Montreal for the weekend to see the sites and had been told by friends to visit Akhavan supermarket while we were there. We're from Iran, so it's always a treat to see other Iranian establishments in Canada. We made the mistake of going to this location for for some kabob...instead of the other one (we traveled for over an hour to get there). There is a rule at the store (which we were unaware of and did not notice the sign) that if you purchase your items, you leave what you've purchased at the front of the store and if you wish to do more shopping, you may then go back in. We didn't know this. After waiting for about an hour for our food to be made (we wandered the store while waiting...this is not an Iranian grocery store...it's the Afghani version), we finally got our order and my mom and her friend went to pay. Once they paid, they decided they also wanted to purchase more items at the store. I noticed a commotion near the back of the store where what I soon realised was the manager yelling at my mother and her friend to get out of the store and doesn't she know the rules of the store. My friends and I were shocked and I asked my mother what happened. She told me the manager, in broken Persian (because he is Afghani) was yelling at her to get out of the store and treating them like theives, because they had not realised to put what they had purchased at the front of the store. I got very angry and marched back into the store and asked to speak with the manager. I was told the man who I had seen yelling was the manager. I asked him how could he speak to a customer like that, he could have easily mentioned to them of the store rules and the issue would have been done. He yelled at me, "Those are the store rules!" I told him, even if they are, there is no reason to have been so rude and disrespectful. They had a receipt and could have easily proven that they had bought every item in their bag...he yelled "I don't care!" And then like a coward that he was, decided to walk away without any other word or apology! This man thought he was still in the middle east where rude behavior like this from a man to a women can be tolerated. He knew he made a huge mistake and I clearly told him, this isn't Iran, or wherever he is from. Here in Canada, we respect customers and don't tolerate disgusting behaviour like the one he showed towards women (ie. my mom, her friend and myself). A few of his staff even let me know that this behaviour from him isn't isolated and that he has driven his staff and past customers crazy. I won't allow his disgusting behaviour to ruin the name of the other Akhavan store, however which we did go to and they were wonderful. Shame on this manager and whoever continues to agree with his sexist behaviour.

Unfortunately, it seems like there are new employees and managers. I just had the worst experience in a grocery store in my life. I asked for a rain check and specified I wanted 3 items on the rain check. The cashier, along with her ''supervisor'' decided to mark 2 items. They did not tell me anything. When I got home, I looked at the rain check and noticed the difference. So, I called Metro. The ''supervisor'' answered the phone and wouldn't listen to me and called me an idiot, then hung up the phone on me. I went to the store to make a complaint to a manager, the ''supervisor'' said she was the manager. I was shocked! I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. Needless to say, we had a heated conversation because she was rude and said we don't share the same values. When I asked what those values are, she wouldn't answer. I really don't think I'm ever going back to that Metro. The sad thing is it's around the corner from where I live.

We ordered online on Mar 11th as my wife and I were very ill with Covid and were in quarantine. We scheduled a time slot between 4:00 and 6:00 PM on Mar 12th. Not only did the order never arrive, but we received no call, no email , no anything. What brutal service. We counted on Metro to help us out as we were stuck. Will never step foot in a Metro for the rest of my life.
