Unorganized, always gossiping about others, repeat the same thing, not up to date with Machines. These mastines don't work.

My previous PT experience was focused on getting me back to "normal daily living" - well, as a competitive athlete that wasn't the "normal" I wanted to go back to. What I loved about my Lion Physical Therapist is that he asked me right away what my goals were and then the team worked with me to get to the point where I could start to do the physical activities I loved to do pre-surgery. I've been through PT many times in the past and Lion Physical Therapy is the most I've sweated (and cursed lol) during a PT session. I highly recommend them! Here are some photos of me doing fun activities after I was cleared to do them (safely!).

Now I'm working with Brooke to help with my knee pain as an athlete it's been present my whole life and the difference has been immediate and noticeable. My whole family has come here for different injuries over the years, and we've all received excellent care. We'll definitely continue coming back because the service is truly outstanding. I highly recommend Spears PT to anyone looking for excellent physical therapy. (and great music)

The PTs were very nice people, but watch out if you are older than a 20-something and have an actual physical/medical/rehabilitative issue rather than a superficial sports injury. Unfortunately the field has been over-run by these PT mills catering to sports injuries, rather than actual rehabilitative physical therapy. I've had to see several doctors, an orthopedic surgeon and am now seeing a real PT. The only positive thing I can say is that space is nice, and all the PTs are hip and smile a lot when they are not looking at their phone or computer.

She's also very pleasant. When I first injured myself, I didn't know how I would ever be able to walk normal again and even though my recovery has been slow, I'm almost there! Jean modifies exercises based on your pain/progress, stays in communication with your doctor and she also sets you up with exercises to do at home. She also has a great memory, remembering your case specifically from the beginning and you don't feel like you get lost in the mix. She's pretty flexible with scheduling appointments too, which is also great! As far as the facility, it's pretty big and there's plenty of space for social distancing. They take your temperature when you first arrive. There's hand sanitizer readily available and they sanitize everything in between patients. They have plenty of equipment to change up your exercises once you've progressed. I'm actually going to miss going once I'm all better. It's been a pleasant experience after a difficult injury. I'm thankful I found such a professional, clean place close to my apartment. I highly recommend the facility and Jean!

I do not and was shocked to see about 8-10 other patients being treated in the same small store-front office. There are no private spaces--the treatment tables are literally a foot or two apart. What's more, they called to cancel my first appointment with no explanation. When I finally arrived for my rescheduled one, I was given redundant paper and iPad forms to fill out. I then had to compete with three other waiting patients for a chair in the waiting area (there are only two). My PT seemed friendly but she totally misdiagnosed my injury and did not help me feel better.

I came to HoPT after a serious…read morebike vs. car accident that left me with 2 broken bones in my ankle, emergency surgery, and months of being non-weight bearing. I had tried another local PT and had a terrible experience, but from the moment I came in to HoPT, I knew I was in the right hands. Shannon has treated me with such care, empathy, and professionalism. She is incredibly kind, encouraging, deeply knowledgeable, and attentive. Early in my recovery, she noticed that my surgical wound showed signs of infection and thanks to her sharp instincts, I was able to get a 2nd surgery to clean and re-close the wound before things got worse. Even when I was on crutches, she thoughtfully challenged me with tailored exercises to rebuild strength and mobility. She struck the perfect balance between compassion and push, motivating me to keep working hard and trust the process. At my 5-month post-op, my surgeon told me I was healing like someone 8 months out, and I have Shannon to thank for that. I'm running again, feeling stronger, and experiencing less pain. The clinic itself is amazing. With just 2 PTs working at a time, each patient gets 1-on-1 care. The environment is calm, personalized, and supportive. I've also had the pleasure of working with Julia and Alberto, who are fantastic as well. I feel so lucky to have found HoPT and Shannon. If you're looking for expert, personalized, and genuinely thoughtful care, I cannot recommend them more highly. Thank you Shannon and HoPT!

At our first consultation, he thoroughly reviewed the doctor's reports, evaluated injury and explained the injury fully with visuals on iPad to help guide me through the recovery process before we did anything else. He was very realistic about outcomes, timelines, and what to expect over the following weeks so that I was not discouraged. He also offered to follow up with my doctors to check on progress for a well-rounded approach. I felt very much a part of the process and supported by someone who demonstrated compassion and obvious experience to treat my injury. Sessions were one on one with manual therapy combined with active stretches/exercises. This was not my first experience with physical therapy and by far the most personalized + helpful. Grayson is very encouraging and allows you to push to new limits each session when it sometimes seems unthinkable. He setup a customized PT program tailored exactly to my injury and weekly progress. He demonstrated all of the exercises and reviewed weekly to reinforce proper technique to target injury. Grayson is extremely knowledgeable with a focus towards treating the injury as well as muscle groups around it to prevent future injuries. His Movement Vault videos are a great resource post recovery. If you follow his program, you will see results. Grayson maintained an accommodating schedule with a convenient location in Williamsburg, BK and was diligent about confirming sessions or rescheduling if needed. Sessions took place in a clean and organized facility with good selection of music to make these sessions feel more relaxed. Overall, Grayson is an extremely, smart, funny, engaging and caring PT who shows a true passion for his field. Any patient recovering from an injury would be lucky to have Grayson as their PT. I'm grateful to have worked with him for a comprehensive recovery experience and would not hesitate to recommend him.

There's the actual physical techniques that are used on your tissue, but what is added is explanation and understanding of how your body and nervous system work, which can be invaluably applied to your lifestyle. Don't get me wrong - you don't get to lay back and watch your body heal (well, actually, the sessions certainly seem that way) - you'll have to do your homework in the form of the carefully curated mobility regimen they set up for you. But if you do the work and apply the knowledge, you'll get the same fantastic results I did. My injury led to a frozen shoulder - after a year of struggling with it, I started seeing Lux and they brought it back to 100%. Couldn't recommend more.
