I highly recommend this place. PS. My buddy just told me to mention how much he enjoyed the jamón!

So what a Great experience it is to just randomly select and walk into Bibo Madrid (also Michelin rated) and be seated immediately, wow!! FYI, I guess this is a restaurant where there's a lack diversity in diners. There was a family in front of us and the dad turned around and looked at us/me and he had a look of complete fear. I must of looked like a really hangry uncle Roger. Anyway, the interior was very unique and whimsical, especially with the bahr in the center of the restaurant and the balloon......Keep that in mind, you'll see a balloon at the end of your exceptional meal (see pic)..:) We had the foie gras encrusted in goat cheese, the conjunda (chorizo) brioche, rabo (oxtail) brioche, tempura tiger prawns (skip if you're stuck on Japanese tempura) and for the grande finale - the Mirabella Sun (an orange sphere filled with citrusy cream. The Sun was artistic, befuddling when it first came out and just a pleasure to eat. The rabo sandwich with DG sauce (whatever that means) was incredibly scrumptious, I could have had ten of those brioches!! There's also complimentary gazpacho soup and bread that was very good (I didn't order it but they'll charge you for it). I'm not into cold soup, even on a hot day. Our server was very friendly and helpful and with his limited English and my limited Spanish, I would say his recommendations were 80% on target.

The locals hang out and drink beer and eat ham. I guess you would call that hamming it up. It's all about the ham and the ham is damn good. It can get load and hard to find a place to stand or sit. Usually this frenetic vibe throws me off, here I like it. Do when you walk by and see all that ham hanging out come on in and join the ham crew. You won't regret it. Jamon I should say instead of ham, but I'm a dumb American lol.

You'll see tons of meat hanging with a bunch of fun options, with seven locations currently throughout the city, but I honestly wouldn't go again. I would say service left something to be desired. They seemed a bit annoyed with us and not wanting to assist but whatever, the food was decent. I do think the unfriendliness of the staff though made the vibes a bit off here for my friend and I. We got a good deal of ham and drinks at about 6 Euros for the deal. But I swear, the standing at the counter with unfriendliness made this passable - but I wouldn't go back. They say they have the biggest selection of ham in town so that is a positive. Museo del Jamon is not just a restaurant but also a shop, so you can buy meats and fun things to go. Going through other Yelp reviews, it may seem there is a slowness and friendliness issue here quite consistently. It used to be a must do spot in Madrid but I would skip this now.
