The area her home is in is really quaint and I loved all of the eccentric cottages along the winding road. The house was not open and I didn't see anywhere to park. I parked off up the road and walked back to view the house. The house is right on top of the street and the back of the house has a drop off a cliff of some sorts. I'm glad I stopped by, but wish I could have explored further.

Since it is a real, operating hotel we did not expect to go into any rooms as some other reviews mentioned their disappointment in. We spent roughly two hours here. We first watched two short videos in the visitor center - maybe 15 minutes in total. One video was on the history of the area; the other video was about the spring itself. The man at the desk recommended that we go down the stairs, hang a left and the bottom and circle the area clockwise. That worked great. It is over a hundred stairs down to the walkway that parallels the Blue Spring. After seeing the spring, there are paths around flowers in a few gardens, some equipment from decades ago, a cave-ish overhang, chances to see wildlife, then finally a gradual incline to get back up to the top - with a boardwalk as well. There is a gift shop. Restrooms are actually just outside the entrance. Signs help throughout. Wasn't crowded in September.

It began on the roof of the hotel, with a extraordinary view of downtown Eureka Springs, where we we provided the history of the area-as narrated by Joseph (who was both well spoken and knowledgeable)! We were additionally given a history of the colorful characters formerly residing In the hotel and were provided access to a free app, that we could use on the tour, showing us the paranormal activity actually taking place right around us. The tour lasted almost 2 hours. A great way to learn about the history of Eureka Springs, the paranormal activity in the hotel - and to have fun. Highly recommend it!

We started at Basin Spring Park - right in the center of town with a history of how things started. Megan, our guide, then took us below ground to where buildings were centered prior to moving upward due to mudslides. For much of the rest of the tour, we traversed the main business street really from one end to the other (Spring St) with architectural history, stories about buildings, stories about the town at various points in time, and another spring at the far end. You finish about 3 blocks from where you start - a gradual uphill. Megan was great; didn't need a script; answered all questions and ensured everyone could see everything. Great intro to Eureka Springs. Interesting there were 10,000 people living here in the late 1800s, and now just over 2,000.

Super fun to go to the headquarters and check out the haunted dolls and Knick knacks. I definitely learned a lot about the town and enjoyed the evening walk, even if I definitely didn't see any ghosts or feel scared. Our tour Roz (hopefully I'm spelling that right) was great, and she even demonstrated using a pendulum to communicate with spirits after the tour was finished. Historic railway museum in a restored limestone building. The museum is free with a gift shop…read more On the property are several old train cars, and other railway related structures and equipment. If you reserve in advance, you can get an excursion train, or a lunch train, or a dinner train. We reserved one - a couple days in advance, but not enough people signed up. So they cancelled it. As a result.. we spent 45 minutes exploring the museum and the grounds and stayed interested. And met a local cat.
