Customer BEWARE!! Do not give them a credit or debit card for your services. They will randomly charge your card without your authorization or consent.
I have paid this salon thousands of dollars over the last year for hair extensions and was an established customer (or so I thought). A few weeks ago, I ordered hair for my upcoming extensions and paid over $600 in advance. I made the appointment for the installation for the next week. I am a traveling healthcare administrator and needed to change the appointment due to work. I had to leave a message because they were closed by the time I got a chance to call them. I did call several days in advance. Just for the record, I have never not shown up to a scheduled appointment over the last year and they know that. Apparently, they did not get the message or cancel the appointment in the system and recorded me as a "no show" this morning and took it upon themselves to charge me a random fee of $500 on my debit card. When I called the store, they told me they did not get my message on cancelling the appointment and the $500 was for a no-show fee. I asked her why they would assume I was not coming? That I had always shown up for my appointments in the past with Madison. I have never been treated so crappy by a place I have paid so much money!!
The lady was rude and said she had left me several messages. I was shocked as they are aware of my work environment (locked down unit-cannot have phones) and they treated me like absolute crap and assumed I was lying to them. I even asked her why they would assume I was not showing up on purpose when I had already purchased hair of over $600-? Regardless, a no-show fee of $500?? She insisted that was the fee for no show appointments and that I knew that. I asked for the owner, and she replied- "the owner does not speak to people" you will have to talk to the manager-Allison. I happen to know the lady that answers the phone is the owner's daughter, so I am not surprised she was so defensive.
What is sad is I honestly thought this was a high class, reputable business. I feel like that did not value me as a customer (a very high paying one at that) and treated me like crap. I will dispute this charge on my card for the $500 missed appointment fee which is so unprofessional. read more
