Despite that, a new dentist showed up every check up and found "cavities" which led to follow up visits and unnecessary out of pocket expenses. This was when I found Dr Tran through networks to have a second opinion. Guess what, I have stayed with Dr Tran for over 9 years. This is a small community dental office in Annandale. They may have the old school vibe in terms of service, office ambience, equipment etc BUT they do the job well! Dr Tran is very thorough and systematic. She makes good judgment on dental issues and recommends feasible solution. Dr Nica joined last year and she is picking up quickly. Susan, the receptionist, is diligent on her insurance billing where she tells you how much a night guard costs with or without insurance etc She also calls every patient to remind them of appointments. The dental assistants have worked in the practice for years and I feel welcomed every time I walk into the practice. The office is clean and the staff demonstrates good hygiene practice. Strongly recommend!

I have thanked her numerous times today after heading to work from my first appointment. The office staff was friendly, on time and extremely helpful. Dr Le had me laughing and smiling my entire visit. I had a tooth pulled and there was NO pain (a first) and no need for further anesthesia (a first) during my extraction. I barely felt the needle going on and I have experiences where a THICK needle was used and hurt like #$*#. Dr Ve and Mena explained the procedure very thorough and any questions I asked were answered. Sandy was so helpful and nice that I wish I could move their office closer to me, as this is an hour from my home but SO worth it to get great care. I have been to several dental offices and this is by far at the top of the list. I actually was able to go to work after an extraction and implant work and feeling no pain. I will refer Dr Le to numerous family and friends seeking out a great dentist and knowledgeable and helpful office staff. Thanks to all!

I've only gone here because of the great service that I've had during cleanings. Other than that service here has gotten really poor. The front staff is extremely rude to my family lately and snotty, except for Sandy she is always professional and nice. I gave up going here because the hours of service are crazy. The latest appointment you can get is 1pm on a weekday. Who can even get off work that early???? In all the years I've gone here, that is the latest appointment I've ever had was at 1pm. The weekend appointments are always filled up, and they only open one weekend in a month. They apparently don't care as much about their customers anymore. The Doctor comes and checks your teeth for a quick 5 minutes and that's about all the services they offer. Every time I come there's always a long wait as well, because they overbook too.

Prestige Dental Specialists staff is very professional and courteous. Any person I was in contact with was helpful, informative, and pleasant. The office is clean and attractive. For the price you pay, it does feel better knowing that all areas of the steps were thorough. I would definitely recommend this business and encourage you to ask all questions on your mind when you are doing your consultation. How much, what side effects, what ifs, etc., so that you can feel at ease. Type of care (5/5): I was referred to Prestige by my local dentist and I was not disappointed. I had a massive toothache which was not resolving and came here on a snowy day. After a comprehensive exam and x-ray, I was told I had to have a complete tooth extraction (the entire root was corroded so a root canal was not possible. ) Fortunately, Dr. Eddie had a cancellation due to the snow, so he was able to get my tooth pulled that day! I opted for the nitrous gas because I have a bit of anxiety around teeth stuff and my teeth are extra sensitive. I was hoping I could sleep but the gas really just made me happy and less nervous. The extraction went well and then the series of appointments to check on the site, then the hole to be drilled to place the implant. I was not ready for the drill, but the nitrous gas helped! Care quality (5/5): Every time I've been there, I feel like they have been attentive and caring towards me. Even when I had to be called back for another scan, they gave me a cute complimentary mug because they felt badly about this. My one year check up for my implant went well. I'm really satisfied with my care here. Office experience (5/5): They were really nice here. I was explained my bill throughly. I was a bit annoyed that I had to pay $150 for the mandatory one year visit because I no longer had my dental insurance but that wasn't necessarily their fault.

My family had comfortably gone here for several years, which makes this review hard to do…read more I switched to Dr. Berk after speaking with Shari, the office manager, when I cold-called her one day. She was so amazing, helpful, welcoming & confirmed my suspicions that our former dentist was waaaay overcharging us (my insurance ended up also confirming this fact). She was so wonderful & drew me right in that I wanted to go there because I knew that if the person on the other side of the phone was that great, then the office must be that great too. Dr. Berk himself is very nice & easy going, and the office is immaculate & comfortable, and the staff at Berk Dental has been great for the most part, but Shari was the whole reason I went there in the first place & why I made the switch for my entire family. She embodied customer care and really worked with you every step of the way to ensure you were well taken care of. I was so pleased that I shared how wonderful our experience had been with my neighbors & their extended family, and they all switched over as well. Well, Shari is long gone now, and so is Helena, a hygienist, who was also so sweet, gentle, really cared & made both me & my son feel at ease. Let me tell you, a lot is missing with the new staff, and there is a very unfortunate lack of care, compassion, or concern. Both my husband & I experienced repeated difficulties since all the staff changes had taken place, and sadly, after back-to-back unpleasant experiences, I cancelled my last check-up and have not been back. I was in daily, constant pain with no solution given. I was blown off by the new office manager gal at the front desk when I called in regarding my pain; there was zero empathy or attempt to get me seen & I was made to feel like I was overreacting. When I did finally get an appointment, the new hygienist continued to make me feel like I was overreacting, and she was so rough with me that my mouth was hurt for over a week! I've never had my mouth that torn up like that before! To make matters worse, Dr. Berk joked that I was being dramatic with my pain & situation as well, which really surprised me, and he may have honestly been 100% joking, but that was unnecessary and very unprofessional, especially since they advertise as gentle dentistry. I am not one to fuss or complain about pain, but that shouldn't matter either way. Why would you ever make someone feel anything but at ease when they're telling you they're in constant pain, because that is not a joke. My husband's issue stemmed from the same new, rude office manager and resulted in him not being informed at all about his expected financial responsibility regarding a procedure. He repeatedly requested the quote, and every time he spoke with her, she was incredibly curt and rude, and she never provided the requested, normal, and necessary information. She is horrible! There really is no excuse to not take a patient seriously regarding pain, finances, or any question or concern they may have. The funny thing is, I posted on the Nextdoor app asking for dentist recommendations, and someone suggested Dr. Berk, but someone else immediately commented on that suggestion and said that they had had a horrible experience with Dr. Berk's office and would never go back. We have since switched to a new dental practice that is a modern & well-equipped office, and the difference in staffing & customer care is night and day. The entire staff is incredibly warm, caring, & friendly, and they are upfront with everything. So, sadly, even though I really liked Dr. Berk up until everything unfolded, and I truly wish him only the best at his practice, I will never go back!

Get written cost from them beforehand. I could not get her to have the doctor call me to discuss the issue either. I have filled a complaint with BBB as well. I will post on other sites as well. Buyer be aware! Lot of coercion and threats to report to collections!

The receptionist answered "Dr. Fisher's office." I could not get an immediate appointment. My wife got on the phone and managed to get squeezed on Friday, two days away. I went back with my wife and the assistant took an x-ray. After the x-ray, a strange guy comes in and tells us he is the new dentist, that Dr. Fisher has retired! (Dr. Hwang) Neither my wife nor I had received any correspondance from the office telling us this. He told my wife that she needed a crown and gum work for $3,000.00. The visit cost us $255.00 They did not plan to give us any credit if the work was done. We thought about letting him do it but we were suspicioius. We did not recognize any of the staff there and were upset by this bait and switch tactic. They never told us beforehand that Fisher had retired. The same day my wife managed to go see a prostadontist, Dr. Obeid in Chevy Chase, MD who is very skilled. He has a very modern office with state of the art equipment. He told my wife that she just needed on onlay....no gum surgery. He would charge $3000 and credit us for the visit and the x-ray. It was possible that the cavity would be more extensive and she could lose the tooth. But that is not what happened. Obeid successfully spared her tooth and did the onlay! It is far better to do an onlay as opposed to removing most of the tooth for a crown. I think this review speaks for itself. It appeared to us that all of Dr. Fisher's staff were no longer there.

Upon arriving there, the front desk individual didn't even bother looking at my account and made me sign all the paperwork that I already did ahead of time. I didn't want to argue with her and make a bad impression for my first visit, so I just redid them all - just for her to look at my account after I handed her the papers and say, "Oh! Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She did a fantastic job with the x-rays and cleaning though! A lady named Kim walked in next, no clue what her role was either. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. That's difficulty for someone who works an 8-5 job and cannot get off. Overall, I was unimpressed with this visit and will be debating with coming back.
