This review is a little different because before becoming a customer of Eugene's Marble & Granite, I actually worked for the company for many years. When we started renovating our own home, I honestly didn't have to think twice about who I wanted doing the stone and porcelain work. I had spent years seeing Eugene's projects, their fabrication process and the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. Now I finally got to experience the process from the customer side, and I'm so happy with the results. They did A LOT in our house: our kitchen countertops, full-height backsplash, large peninsula, fireplace surround, two bathroom countertops, and the large-format porcelain walls in our master shower. I love all of it, but the kitchen and master bathroom are probably my favorites. The kitchen feels completely different now. The light stone opened up the entire room, and carrying the material up the backsplash instead of using traditional tile gave it such a clean, high-end look. The master shower was another big one for me. We wanted the look of huge slabs rather than lots of grout lines, and the porcelain walls turned out gorgeous. It feels like a completely different bathroom. Our bathroom vanity tops also came out beautiful. I love natural stone because every piece is unique, and the movement and veining in ours became part of the design rather than just being a countertop. After years of working around stone, I can be pretty picky about details , which probably makes me a tougher customer than most. But I genuinely love how our home turned out. There's also something pretty special about trusting a company enough that, years after working there, they're still the people you call when it's your own house. Thank you Eugene's team! I would absolutely recommend them for anything from countertops to more complicated slab and porcelain projects. read more

Working with the team at Eugene's has been an absolute delight from start to finish. Having been through the process of having solid stone countertops installed in a previous home, I knew how long and drawn out the process can be. I shopped around and got quotes from many local fabricators before selecting EMG. I was first impressed with Galya and Diana's fantastic communication and turnaround time on my initial quote with multiple stone options. They also worked with me on my tight schedule. Templating, fabrication, and installation only took 4 business days. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. Before any cuts were made they showed me what it would look like on the slab that I selected. Many of the other fabricators told me that to do my kitchen I would need 2 slabs and multiple seams. EMG flawlessly covered my entire kitchen with only one seam (at the sink) and even covered my buffet. As anyone in the building trades will tell you, houses in the Low-Country are never square or level. The installers leveled my countertops within 1/16 of level all the way around. Initially I had purchased brackets to go under the bar area on my countertops. The installer pointed out that it was not needed and refunded me the money. The bottom line, EMG saved me money, time, and their attention to detail is pure perfection and their customer service can't be beat. read more

I went to Eugene's on the recommendation of my daughter and her friend. They told me how great the service was and how professional and customer-oriented the staff is. They were not wrong! I did not just take their word for this, I checked other places, compared prices and Eugene was either similar or better priced. But, more importantly, they were absolutely fabulous in dealing with me and my anxiety over selecting the wrong counter top. Absolutely no pressure was put on me, they walked the lot with me, answered all my questions, even suggested if I was "overwhelmed" to come back the next day (which I did). The installation crew did a super job. Being anxious to get the installation done, I suggested they could come "any time after 6:00 AM". They showed up at 6:15 AM lol! If you need new counter tops, do yourself a favor, check out Eugene's. I'm betting you'll go with them. I worked with Victor. Say hey to him for me. read more

I can't recommend EMG highly enough!! My husband and I (as first-time customers) arrived at the office on a Wednesday, with hopes of selecting a new vanity countertop for our master bathroom. We were greeted by Diana, the general manager, who patiently and professionally assisted us in selecting the perfect piece of quartz for our project. On Friday, Victor came to our house to take all the appropriate measurements, and on Monday, the nice crew came and installed it. We were amazed at how quickly and seamlessly the project came together. We have occasionally had mixed results from contractors, but our experience with EMG was outstanding, and we would definitely use them again and recommend to family and friends. read more

Best experience with contractors of any type that I've ever had. Every employee, no matter what their job, was personable, knowledgeable, and well skilled in their area of expertise. They went far above and beyond to make sure that I was not only satisfied but that I got everything I wanted. And stayed within budget. Even coming up with some innovative ways to save money in one way so that I could get something else that I wanted more. To me it is this type of creative thinking that makes a business successful. Even though the kitchen was not finished when I took these pictures, the counter top quality speaks for itself. I will update this info when the entire kitchen is finished. read more

If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would. EMG completed 2 projects for us. New kitchen counter tops & backsplash was first. The choices for the countertops was mind boggling but Diana & crew provided great insight to help me make the final selection. Demo, fabrication & installation were prompt & professional. They came when they said they would. The 2nd project was a hearth & fire place surround. Once again they were prompt & professional. And they cleaned up afterward. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the products & workmanship. I definitely recommend EMG for any stone project. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before but I just had to as soon as Eugene's installation crew left. They just finished installing four quartz counter tops in my new kitchen. The experience start to finish - picking out the quartz slabs thru installation - was pain free. The professionalism, attention to detail, and final product is definitely 5 out of 5 but furthermore, they were also the lowest cost vendor of the three I considered!! If you need marble, granite, or quartz, your next and only stop must be Eugene's, a short drive out to Hollywood, SC!!! FYI: Not sure why Yelp says I'm in San Francisco when I'm in West Ashley :) read more

The team at Eugene's Marble & Granite was outstanding! It started with thoughtful advices and infinite patients, as we changed our mind multiple times about material and layout. We decided to have a waterfall, and, as it wouldn't fit into our slab, they found the piece to create a stunning butterfly match. Then there was a difficult installation, with maneuvering a large piece between two columns. It went great - quickly, clean, and cheerful. Our kitchen looks great!! We will definitely be calling when we need to update our bathrooms next. Thank you, Eugene's Marble & Granite! read more

It was my first time working with EMG and It all turned out great! Diana (the GM) was very helpful at their office/showroom- we selected the slab for my kitchen and bathroom, then she provided me with the quote for the whole project. The next day their guy (Victor?) stopped by my place and got all the measurements. He was very knowledgeable, he even recommended I do a full backsplash- it turned out wonderful, I'm glad I followed his advice. It only took them a few days to cut all the pieces and come to install them. Overall I'm very pleased with the result! read more

For anyone doing a remodel your leg work is done for you when it comes to the counters. EM&G has a great selection of materials in quartz, granite, marble, and man-made material. We chose a beautiful natural quartz. While price was not the deciding factor, EM&G has the best pricing. The installers and fabricators are VERY detailed and proud of their work. It shows! Diana follows through on every step. Installers were here on time and a pleasure to work with, courteous and happy. We love showing off the counters and give EM&G the credit. read more

We went to Eugene's Marble and Granite of Charleston to purchase granite slabs for our kitchen and laundry room. They were so helpful in every aspect of the process, from the choosing of our granite, to showing us how they were going to template it, to the fabrication and installation. Everyone we dealt with was so professional and kind. They are also very responsive if you have any questions or need anything. We are very pleased with the job they did. We would highly recommend them. Happy customers.. Pat and John read more

I have remodeled 14 kitchens. I always get multiple quotes and estimates for delivery and EUGENES always has the best prices and by far the quickest delivery/ install. Their installers are amazing- not only for countertops but also for backsplash. If you are looking for a countertop/ backsplash firm you would be making a huge mistake not to use Eugene's. From start to finish they are the best. Their sales associate Diane is easy to work with and communicates very well with the customer every step of the way! read more

Galya and her team went above and beyond the call of duty! Our vacation condo needed new countertops and we were only there for two weeks. She arranged to install 2 days before we left. During install we discovered the sink we selected was too deep for the current plumbing. I called in a plumber and he moved all of the lines down. By the time that was finished it was 3 o'clock and Galya was able to send her team back to finish. They worked until 6:30pm. Great job! Beautiful work! Highly recommend them! read more

They completed our kitchen in quartz along with the bathroom vanities, and the whole house feels more finished now. What I liked most was that the work did not feel rushed -- they really paid attention to details, and everything came out clean, solid, and well put together. The quartzite in the kitchen looks stunning, and the vanities came out just as nice. It is not easy to find people who can do both quality work and keep the process smooth, but they really did. Very happy we went with them. read more

From start to finish the best experience! Galya was the most knowledgable...helping with selection and scheduling and staying on task. Friendly staff and the installers were prompt and professional. Do yourself a favor and dont bother calling other places...this place gets it all done in the friendliest of ways. They also were very aware of social distancing practices in their shop and my home. I am thrilled with their job and galya was amazing to work with! read more

They helped us choose what worked best for us with kids and entertaining and were very patient with us as we made them do multiple quotes for different options.
