By far the dental experience here has been so up and down. I am very aggravated with the office…read morestaff they are very rude, and seem like they don't really know what they're doing. When you come in it seems as if they are not happy and don't have a smile on their face. And when they do smile it doesn't feel genuine. I came here because of my insurance and I called one 800 Dentist which in the area of Lake Charles this was the only dentist that was willing to take Delta dental. When I walked in the office was very clean exceptionally clean that's one thing I do like about it. The office manager was very sweet as well when she told me the rundown for my one cavity and cancer screening. The lady who took my x-rays was very sweet as well. And the dentist she seemed very sweet and genuine. However, being that I have a cavity they put me on an appointment not until two weeks after May which really upsets me because my cavity could get worse in a matter of time. I came to them telling them I had issues with my crown there was mild pain, but no other tests where taken to see, the bite down test on a stick or etc. only X-rays. And of course most Dentist do not want to touch a crown that another dentist put on because it looked intact however I knew there was something wrong when I bit down and the pain at night. Fast forward Two weeks later I developed severe pain and problems with my crown, and I know my body. When I went in I had to really push for the dentist to understand that I needed to have pain medicine and a referral to the Endo which she did give me. However, out here in Lake Charles everything takes forever. So I would not be seen for a whole week. So I was then finally prescribed pain medicines and antibiotic. However the antibiotics was long enough to last me over but not the pain medicine. So, I had to go into the office after calling to demand my medicine that I could have to hold me over until I was seen by the specialist. But the office lady basically was telling me that the dentist was not going to prescribe me anything else and that I could take over-the-counter ibuprofen. I was furious, the problem with tooth pain is that you cannot do anything it is unbearable. You can't eat, sleep, and take care of kids. Taking the medicine every six hours with what I was prescribed the math was off so I would run out by the weekend. Luckily I feel the dentist really understood at the end, and put in another order. But it should've never got to the point where I got this upset and had to drive to the Dentist several times out of my way. I really feel the office manager should take a look at her office staff about being a little bit more nice to the patients and considerate of tooth pain and it is not something to play with. Your teeth are your whole body. And I still am upset because I would like to get my cavity filled before it gets worse. But I do not think they take this into consideration. I hope things get better here at Aspen dental.

I went and had work done prior they had me apply for care credit. All my services were covered in…read morethe cost. After the work was done I was told I owed almost 500.00 and had to pay it before I got my partial (that I already paid for). Apparently it was because that had me going 4 times a year for cleaning. Also I was charged and additional 150.00 for a crown I already paid for. When I refused to go more than was normal for a cleaning they wouldn't adjust my partial that cuts my mouth and makes it bleed until I went for these cleanings. It is ridiculous the prices and the surprise charges that are way above normal rates. Stay away from here

Went to get new dentures made. impressions made, was told my new dentures would be ready in 2-3…read moreweeks. I heard nothing for 2 months. When I called to check, I was told that "unfortunately" I would have to have impressions made again and start the process over. No phone call, no update until I called them. Technicians were rude during my visit. I just told them to just refund the money ($1400) that I had already paid. Never been treated like this in any dentist office.

I chose this dental office because scheduling my first appointment was a breeze and the location…read morewas only about 10 minutes from my home. I thought it would be convenient, but unfortunately, that was not the case. My first visit was a regular exam and checkup, followed by a cleaning on a separate visit, which went completely fine. After that, I scheduled a wisdom tooth extraction but had to cancel the appointment. I was told I would receive a full refund (almost $1,000), so I went ahead and canceled. That same day, I also scheduled a new appointment for a filling. I called on Monday to cancel the wisdom tooth extraction and request the refund, then came in on Friday for my scheduled filling. When I arrived, the front desk told me my appointment was never scheduled. They claimed they didn't know who scheduled it, suggested I may have called the wrong office, or that I scheduled through an operating team that "doesn't always communicate with them." They even tried to say it was my responsibility to call and verify my appointment, which I find unreasonable since they were the ones who scheduled me. Thankfully, the clinical staff was able to squeeze me in, and I only waited about 30 minutes. I truly appreciated that. However, the front office has been an ongoing issue. I later found out that when I called on Monday to cancel my wisdom tooth extraction, no one ever submitted my refund. When I went in on Friday, they processed the refund right in front of me -- days after it should have already been done. Since then, I've continued to get the runaround. I'm now being told the refund is still "pending" and that there's no update until someone else approves it, which could apparently take months. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially for such a large amount of money. I will not be returning, which is unfortunate because the doctors, dental assistants, and hygienists were all amazing -- kind, professional, and attentive. I have absolutely no complaints about the back office. Unfortunately, the front desk is disorganized and unreliable, and I don't want to deal with that again.
