I just moved in and had such an amazing experience, i had to write a review asap!…read more Before move: From the start Jenny has been great. She was really prompt and forthright when i contacted via craigslist about the room and would check in every few days (in a sweet and not annoying manner mind you) about my interest, how my moving process was going etc. She was transparent and genuine and i never felt like i was being misled or asking too many questions. She very much focused on my feeling safe and a right fit for the place and current roommates than trying to hustle me into a contract. As i would be moving site unseen from out of state, i really appreciated this. I've never had such a caring and hands-on landlord-tenant experience before this let alone before signing a contract and moving in! Moving in: this was a breeze AND since i was coming from out of state, Jenny offered to pick me up from the airport, take me to run errands all before signing my contract! When signing paperwork, she pro-rated my rent as i moved mid-month though i had said i would pay for the full month as a guarantee for my spot. She even fixed and lent me her new bike without my asking as she knew i wouldnt have any transportation moving here. Also there was a delay in my stuff being shipped and they lent me a sleeping bag and offered an air mattress. Also her daughter was sweet enough to offer showing me around Eugene and going to the store if i needed anything. All of this really shows you how much they care about their tenants and treat us all like family. If you have a problem, the expectation is to go to them and collectively find a solution. I can't wait to develop this relationship further! The place: it's even better than the pictures! Everything is brand new and in mint condition, house is well-maintained and they are closeby and on hand to come fix or lend you anything as needed. All of their properties are in a GREAT neighbourhood - this location is hard to beat. I really feel like I've moved into a community and warm environment - not just a place to store my things. I am incredibly happy with my decision and would give more stars if possible!

She not only educated us on the market and the area, she literally represented us every step of the way. She visited several houses for us and provided us with detailed videos of her walk-through, plus her educated opinion, which made us feel confident enough to purchase a house without ever going to Eugene ourselves until after the deal was done! Kelly was always quick to respond, kind, professional, and willing to patiently answer every one of my questions. I also appreciated that her descriptions of the houses were always objective, unless we asked her for her opinion, in which case she'd always offer her smart and honest input. We are extremely happy with the house and how easy, smooth and enjoyable the whole process was. If you are looking for a realtor in Eugene, go with Kelly. You'll be in the best hands!

After chatting with a few Oregon real estate agents, I stumbled upon Eugene's Alternative Realtors. What a name! "Alternative" perfectly described my friends so I dug into who these alternative agents were. Bingo, landed on Tawnya Madsen who has a background as a lawyer and mediator. It's as if the heavens opened up...and after a Zoom call with my clients we all agreed it was a MATCH. Not only that but within weeks, they found a house they loved. Tawnya managed the transaction and took care of all the first-time buyer questions and concerns, coupled with the buyers not being local to the area during the process). She helped us deal with our terrible mortgage broker and with the bank that owned the property (which is a job all in itself). After the sale, after she'd been paid and her job was done, she helped us get some remedy for the poor job done by the bank's contractor. And here we are three years in and John sent an updated appreciation report on our house so we could see where we sit. Most people buy more than one house in their life, don't you want a realty partner who's always going to be there not just someone who wants to get their commission and move on so they can get more commissions? You want someone who doesn't have to do radio ads to get clients, they get them because their clients tell their friends, "This is who you need"! Well, Heart & Home is who YOU need!

IDX Broker is exceptionally good. I would give it 10 stars, if not for a few things which I will…read moreelaborate on below. But I can't begin to say how awesome it is and how well a job they do. Compared to IhomeFinder which I used in the past, this is light years ahead and WAY better. IDX Broker is fully customizable and comes with the ability to create all sorts of pages, showcases, carousels, links, and customized search results and alot more. It even allows you to customize detail pages and for different property types. How cool is that. In other words, you can change the details that appear on the results and you can change the wording and the order of the details. And you can change the entire layout with CSS. There's no reason why you can't get this to look exactly the way you want it to look. Also, they have very competent tech support staff who know what they're doing. I worked with a woman named April, who was highly effective at helping me solve technical issues that I was having. In one instance, she narrowed down the line of code in my site which was causing the problem and hooked me up with custom code. This is unbelievably awesome, the level of proficiency. TIP: If you're using wordpress, then you will absolutely want to install their plugin called IMPress, because this automatically updates the wrapper. The wrapper is basically a separate page with a copy of your website's header and footer. All of the IDX stuff goes on this page between the header and footer to make it look like it's a part of your site, although it's a separate page called a "wrapper." The wrapper can be dynamic or static. If it's dynamic, then that means it automatically updates. For example, if you add something to the menu, it will automatically appear in the wrapper when you refresh it. Now here's why I only gave it 4 stars. They apply the wrapper to the wordpress BLOG page. This is ridiculous because the blog page comes with it's own sidebar for recent comments, archived posts, etc. So people who view your IDX pages will be distracted by the blog sidebar. So I had to download a plugin to remove the blog sidebar which impacts my blog. Why couldn't they just apply the wrapper to a PAGE. The other thing they should work on is improving their onboarding process. It takes up to 10 days to get approved, which is ridiculous because all it involves is signing an agreement. Why does it have to take 10 days to sign an agreement. The agreement signing process was slow and very clumsy. It took them days to acknowledge that they even received the signed agreement, only to tell me that I signed in the wrong place and had to resign. They also need more phone communication with an account rep to walk you through each step of the onboarding process. I felt totally in the dark about what was going on and so I had to rely on reading their articles to figure out what was going on. This caused me some frustration because I didn't know what was relevant for me to read and what wasn't, so I ended up having to read almost everything and watch their YouTube videos. I would have preferred a human being talking to me on the phone about what's what and next steps. For example, they had someone on their staff create a static wrapper for me, which was totally unnecessary because I had planned to use their plugin which creates a dynamic wrapper. If they had better communication they would have asked me, and found out. They just send you some confusing emails telling you to read their knowledge base. So if you purchase this, I recommend you get on the phone with them from day 1 and ask questions. It took about a total of 2 weeks to get everything fully sorted out, up and running and looking the way I wanted it. So despite the annoyances, this company and its technology rocks!!! I highly recommend this if you plan on using IDX for your website.

However, since moving in, she has had to spend thousands of dollars repairing numerous problems that should have been identified during the inspection.
