This studio - from top to bottom & everywhere in between--is incredible . I was totally blown away…read moreby my first free class here at Practice. For starters, it is a gorgeous, impeccably designed space. It is calming and welcoming, & every interaction - from greeter to teacher--was warm. The yoga room is lit by candlelight & heated with infrared technology. As someone who found the heat of bikram to be kind of suffocating, this infrared heat truly (as advertised) felt like sunshine. The studio does offer classes of varying degrees of difficulty & experience, but my experience was with the fully-guided primary Practice Flow. As an introduction, I am as far from a yogi as Saturn is from Earth- years of sports have demolished my joints & overtuned my tendons, & I can hardly touch my toes (& the use of the word "hardly" is generous). As such, I was somewhat intimidated to take my first free Practice Flow at Practice Saturday morning. I was worried everyone in the class would be incredibly flexible & amazing & bend circles around me. & honestly, if there was a third party watching the class from the ceiling, they very well may have been! However, throughout the entire class, I did not even notice. Class at Practice is truly a personal experience. You become so tuned in to your own body you do not find yourself searching the room for inspiration or competitors. The room is filled with encouragement & light. It challenged me & awakened a love for yoga I never knew existed. Tommy -the teacher of the class, & studio owner- is fantastic. He is encouraging & takes the time to correct form if it is lacking. He was positive the entire time, which, as a far from perfect perfectionist, I completely appreciated. If you prefer not to be adjusted at all, there are cards available at the front desk that you can leave on your mat & indicate such. The music was great - not overpowering. I felt energized & positive when I walked out the doors of Practice for the first time, & I can hardly wait to enter those doors again. Thank you, Practice & Tommy, for an amazing class!

I bought a "new student" package- 10 visits for $20 back in April of 2014 and knowing now how much this journey has made me more complete, centered in the now and just more accepting of things, it goes without saying it was THE best money I've EVER spent. I've taken classes with all the teachers here, and everyone brings something amazing to the table... there is no one teacher better than another. They all offer beautiful words and insight. I've been practicing Yoga with Meena for the last 1-1/2 years, taking one class a week. Meena is a…read morevery good teacher. I've taken both the "Fundamentals of Yoga" and "Endurance, Strength, Flexibility" classes. This is the first "real" yoga that I did (class with community rec was not so good), and although I'm still not too widely traveled, I know I happened to find a great teacher here in Milford. Class size is small, usually around 10 people, at the most perhaps 20. The studio is in Meena's basement and the ceiling is a little low for me (I'm 6'2"), it's not a big problem. I've not been to any of the daytime classes, only weeknights and workshops on the weekends. I have kept coming back for more sessions and plan to continue. If you're serious about practicing yoga, I think you will appreciate the classes. Also don't think you have to be in great shape or experienced. I started knowing almost nothing of yoga, and now I feel like I have come so far, but still have lots to learn. In this review I haven't explained why I think Meena is such a good teacher, it's hard because there are so many different things, atmosphere, variety, meaning, ... if you come to a class I think you will find out.
