Pleasant surprise in a town filled with variety. The staff was wonderful. loved the authentic breakfast options, FYI this is a great place for vegetarian options. the coffee was excellent. it was just a good vibe all around. (PS don't expect to get a fork with your meal)

Avocado egg on bread. Chai tea latte (hard to find the real stuff) made me both care

This place is great! From the calming smells and energy as you walk in, to the amazing food and barista. Everything done with care and love here. New regular right here no doubt.

Ground beef with eggs, Special Ful

Ethio Coffee House is a super friendly, local Ethiopian cafe offering seriously good coffee, pastries, and Ethiopian breakfast too! We ordered the ground beef stir-fried with eggs and tomatoes, as well as the special ful, a dish of small fava beans cooked with eggs, ginger, and garlic, and topped with chopped jalapeños and red onions. Both of these dishes were served in a mini skillet, along with two warm, whole wheat oblong rolls, which had a soft, chewy, nutty interior and a crispy, crusty exterior. The service here was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the local vibe of this cafe made it a great stop for a tasty breakfast!

A really cute Ethiopian Cafe. Has a bunch a Ethiopian food and great coffee. I really enjoyed my Chai Tea Latte! Service was spot on too! Definitely worth checking out!

I can't say enough great things about this coffee shop. The owner is truly special and kind; you feel like family when you're there. The biggest brag on this Ethiopian coffee shop is the coffee and the fresh baked goods. The seasoned lentils in crispy flaky though were my favorite, they come in regular and spicy. Wi-Fi is super fast, I came here in an emergency when my work from home Wi-Fi was suddenly cut off. Definitely recommend!

Comfy, unique coffee shop. I know the difference between an independent and a chain and I prefer to support the local independents, especially when they have a product worth talking about and sharing! And good coffee! Sliced cake and other sweets are available and went well with my coffee (always black because that's how I like my java!). I will ask what type and if they roast their own next time I'm here. In other words, it was good enough for a repeat visit!

Ordering area with menu! They got baklava y'all!

I went with five other friends and we shared two meat and veg combos and one other meat dish which was a great amount of food for the six of us. I will also add that so often at first it seems like it might not be enough food, but the Injera that they serve with everything which is the bread that you use to eat, is so yummy and filling that you will feel so happy with the meal. We ordered the combos with Kik Alicha (Yellow Split Peas), Shiro Wet (Ground Chickpeas), Potato & Beets, Mushroom Wet, Key Wet (Beef), Yebeg Alicha (Lamb), Doro Wet (Chicken), and Minchet Abish Dega (Beef). Honestly, I could not always tell which dish was which, but they were all so yummy that it really doesn't matter (also you can totally tell which is which based on the great description from the menu haha). Can't wait to go back again in the future! Also parking can be a little tricky. I have never had a problem with parking since they do have their own parking lot, but depending on how busy they are it can get full so just be on the lookout for that!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!…read more My friends and I unfortunately had an awful experience! The service was not great and the ambiance was basic. We waited 20 mins before we were asked for our beverage order and even longer to order food. We stayed because of our excitement to try. The server kept forgetting our order and never told me the appetizer I ordered was sold out until I asked. I got the veggie plate and was disappointed because my food came out cold. My friends got the lamb and chicken, they hated it. I was told the meat was tough and not cooked well. Overall, none of us liked our food and will not go back

It's a super authentic, hole in the wall, family owned…read morerestaurant, and you can just tell because when you walk in, the owner and their family is all sitting at one of the tables. I know there's a menu, but when my friend and I walked in, she just asked us if we wanted meat or veggie (probably because we are very white and don't appear like we would know anything about ethiopian food, which is fair). We told her we like both meat and veggie, and she told us she would bring out a plate for us to share. When she brought us our plate, we instantly just smelled absolute deliciousness. The large platter was lined with injera, and then also came with 4 rolls of injera bread on the sides. We were given Tibs, shiro (lentil/chickpea stew), yellow peas, green beans, and some stewed collards. When I tell you EVERYTHING was good, I mean it. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. Dig into the injera bread with your hands and taste all the stews. The injera bread has a perfect fluffy texture with a sour taste, and I genuinely could not tell you which stew was our favorite. I am OBSESSED. It was all so so so good. It is more expensive than I imagined (we EACH paid $27 for the meal plus a waterbottle each), but utterly worth it. The one platter was more than enough for 2 of us, and we still had leftovers.

Can't really speak to much on the menu, because I always get the sampler platter. Delicious, fresh, and flavorful meats, veggies, and injera. All of the dishes were so satisfying. I assume that they're Eritrean (Habesha cousins of Ethiopians) because the names of my favorite dishes seem to be a different language from their Ethiopian counterparts' Amharic. But the flavor was never lost in translation! I ordered Combo # 3 for $18.99. It comes with your choice of 4 vegetables (out of 5 preselected options) and one salad (out of three preselected choices). The side choices are quinoa, injera, or white rice. I confirmed with them that they use teff, meaning the injera is gluten free. They also offer 3 spice levels: regular, spicy, and extra spicy. I love all five vegetable options so it was hard to decide. I ended up choosing the Red Lentils, Yellow Lentils, Tikil Gomen (the cabbage dish), and Collard Greens. Everything was excellent! 10/10! (Everything I ordered was vegan and gluten free.) I ordered spicy because I love spicy food. But let me tell you... I was not prepared for the authentic African spices they hit me with. My bad! I will never underestimate them again. I had to literally sit the injera on my tongue first, then put the food in my mouth in order to finish my meal. LOL Next time I'll be a good little American and order it the normal way. I'll try their fosolia (green beans and carrots) next time. The Shiro also looks good, but it's only available as a full entree. They operate out of a food hall, so it's take out only. I ordered online and my food was ready at the promised time. The customer service was excellent and the lady (whom I'm assuming was the owner) was very nice and helpful. I will definitely order from them again.

But this review is about Ethiopian... for Ethiopian, open the door under the "Open" sign. I don't say "go thru the door," because it's clearly blocked by a table and plexiglass! This Ethiopian restaurant is take-out only! And if you don't see anyone, just want or call out. Someone will come to the (blocking) table. They handed me a laminated menu with only ~4 choices. However, one was a vegan combo, which was just what I wanted. He said it would take 15', so I just waited in my car. When I came back, it was ready to go. $15.99. I paid via Apple Pay with my watch, and Square or whatever emailed my receipt. Easy peasy. The take-out container had nice napkins but no utensils. That's because Ethiopian food is meant to be eaten by hand, with the injera. (Google it.) Thankfully, plenty of injera was included. Food was delish. The middle item was spicy, which I didn't ask for, but I'm not complaining! I should've actually asked for everything that spicy! =) Would totally get again. Might call ahead and order, and ask if they can make everything extra spicy. Mmmm! (edit: I've had a nightmare upload simple pics of the food) (300 kb) (clearly this is some stupid Yelp issue) (I recommend this restaurant but not Yelp) (use Google reviews instead) (the only reason I use Yelp is in case a few people still come here) (Yelp get your act together before you go extinct)
