At first I thought it was a bit strange because I was just awkwardly standing at the front of the shop for at least 10 minutes with no sign of anyone. But I was early so maybe that explains why. The lady who started my pedicure was pleasant, but in all honesty there were two main issues that came up - it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get a pedicure, which is much, much longer than any other pedicure I've had in the past. Especially when you consider the second issue - the polish application was so bad that I just came home and took it all off. My toes were basically uneven globs of nail polish; four very quick coats of slapping it on, and then constant poking at it to see if it was dry. I mean constant. Eventually the globs of polish went slightly tacky and then my nails were covered in the fingerprints of the lady applying it. I didn't realize how bad it was until I went to leave and could see it in the sunlight. It was so thick that I didn't think it would ever dry solid. I went back in to ask her to remove the polish from my big toes because they were the worst of it, which she did, and at that point I just wanted to have her remove all the polish so I could just go home and do it myself. Instead I just asked her to apply one coat to my big toes but at this point, I couldn't fathom sitting in there after already being there for so long. Then phone started ringing, so she just told me to 'take care'. I left but I was extremely unsatisfied and disappointed, and definitely won't ever go back, or recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of less expensive, higher quality places in the city you can go to.

I called the phone number on the door and was informed that the therapist was coming from the southside and would be there shortly. The therapist showed up shortly after and when I spoke to her later, she informed me she only worked out of that location. The first thing I noticed when I was filling out the paperwork in the front reception area is that they had 2 over-sized white chairs. One which had a small cluster of dark hair on it. I was asked if I needed to use the washroom before my massage and was directed to where it was. Inside the washroom was dark hair on the floor, a dried urine spot on the toilet seat and a ring in the toilet basin showing it hadn't been cleaned recently. Despite that, I decided to still go through with the massage. The room I was taken into had a wrinkled top sheet on the massage table like the sheet was left wet to dry in the drier. The therapist started massaging my back first and had to stop approximately 6 times to pick something off my back... my first thought was hair. Now I'm disgusted! Once the massage was done, I dressed, paid the bill and walked out the door. The therapist was nice and the massage was good but the place itself was unclean and unprofessional. If they can't do basic cleaning, is it really sanitary during a pandemic other than being required to wear a mask? I don't think so which is why I won't go back and I don't recommend anyone else to visit BodyTech Clareview either!

WHY WOULD I SEND AN EMAIL WHEN IT WAS CANCELLED IN PERSON, and WHERE I WAS TOLD IT WAS ALL TAKEN CARE OF!!!!! Especially when I was told there wasn't anything further I needed to do after confirming with the receptionist. This is utter BS and I feel after my loyalty this is a huge slap in the face and that my money has been stolen. I am being told that I have store credit.... that I literally can not use or even want as I have no reason to ever come to Edmonton anymore. I had previously gotten my Botox for migraines Rx from here and after my injection nurse moved to another place, who I trust with this delicate procedure, I stayed with her. I got an injection in February and need it every 11 weeks to stay functional without debilitating migraines. I knew my Rx needed renewal and so for 11 weeks, I left voicemails, texts, and finally got one call back more than a month after initially trying. The nurse said, yep, not a problem, have shoppers fax over the request. I did this TWICE. Left more messages and nothing. Finally I called the cosmetic side and they went over and got the explanation of why it had not been filled. Since I was not getting injected there, they would not fill it. OK FINE, BUT DON'T TELL ME YEAH NO PROBLEM AND THEN IGNORE ME SO I HAVE TO FIND A NEW DOCTOR LAST MINUTE. I was 3 weeks behind my treatment and can't work because I am in so much pain. Nice to know I am treated as a dollar sign and not cared for as a patient. Take your money somewhere else, this staff doesn't give a hoot about your well being - you are merely a cash grab. The staff are very knowledgeable and you can tell that they love their job. Something I really like about MAC is their recycling program. If you have enough empty containers (from their makeup) and you bring them back into the store, you get something free! That's a great incentive (especially because MAC isn't what I would call cheap). They have great quality products - not just their makeup, but their brushes are fantastic! I found this place through a referral from a family member after trying to make appointments at places closer to home and having to wait for weeks - was able to get an appt the next day!
