The sushi was decent. Not a fishy taste. Took a bit to come out. The services English was bad and she didn't explain the menu well. It threw me off. If I went back I'd want a different server because she was in a rush and came off quite rude. The place was bigger with lots of tables. Bathroom was semi clean.
Tried this location during one of the Lenten Fridays as we wanted to try a new ayce sushi restaurant. The evening was busy causing a longer wait but the orders were always correct. I do wish the pieces of fish on the rainbow roll were a little bigger compared to other locations I have gone too but I would go back to give it another try.
It was my first time at this restaurant but it's one of my sister's go to for sushi. They have an all you can eat option but you need to finish ALL or you get charged for unfinished food, which makes sense. You cannot share this option. My sister and I opted for regular menu which you can share. Ambiance: clean, romantic, quiet, can accommodate groups. They have an area that's like a private room. Might be able to fit 10-12pm Price: pretty reasonable. For all you can eat $27+ and for kids, they're charged by height. Parking: has private parking which is a huge plus Staff: there was one server helping customer and another handling to go. It was a busy night but she was still attentive and helpful and we were a group of 7 w hungry folks. Sushi tasted fresh and delicious. Tempura had a little too much batter for me but was till good. The Miso soup was delish but I can use less salt. The salad dressing was just ok but still good. A bit too watery for my taste. But all in all I highly recommend this place if you're around the area.
Started with dumplings and Crab Rangoons and edamame. Had the Rainbow Roll and Futo Maki sushi. They were all hearty and flavorful. Good service, AYCE so plenty of food and apps and salad/soup. Getting Boston Roll next and mochi ice cream for dessert.
Called ahead to ask if they have gluten free sushi and gluten free soy sauce that would go along with their all you can eat. They confirmed they had gluten free sauce and gluten free sushi. We drove 30 mins to get here and they said I can have sushi with no sauces, however unwilling to make any rolls without sauce which left me limited options to choose from at $27 for all you can eat. I had to personally go through each item to determine if there was a sauce or crunch. The options that were left from the list were $5-$6 dollars per roll. We walked out; disappointed in the customer service.
Great price for good sushi. The Chirashi pieces of fish were thick solid pieces of Salmon, Tuna, White Tuna, Red Snapper. I was super impressed by the size of sashimi for the price. I loved the Salmon Lover Poke bowl. The octopus salad gives the poke bowl a nice "crunch"/snap texture contrasting the sashimi pieces. I really liked the melding of textures. Multiple members of our party ordered the AYCE sushi. There were only three sushi chefs preparing the rolls, nigiri and sashimi that night. We waited more than an hour before getting the Chirashi dishes. We had 11 people in our group. Eight of us got our orders and finished our meals before the people who ordered their Chirashi Bowls were served their food. I was really excited about the option of AYCE sushi but sorely disappointed that there were so few chefs to be able to keep up with orders of the patrons. I was especially irked to see several plates just sitting lined up at the sushi bar not being served. I want to believe this isn't a nefarious tactic to lure patrons in with offering AYCE but slow service to control food output. Several members who ordered AYCE in our group did put in a second order but almost didn't because we were worried we would be there for 3 hours waiting! Had we known it would take so long to get food, we would've ordered way more initially. I really love the food but overall had a pretty negative experience with the service.
We stopped in on New Year's Day, January 1st at around noon. As soon as we set down we were notified that due to the holiday they do AYCE dinner all day if choosing to do all you can eat. (BE AWARE IF STOPPING IN DURING A HOLIDAY) As soon as you walk in, you'll see the sushi bar and walk right into the main area - the restaurant itself is really cute and quiet. We stopped in for lunch about 2 weeks ago and figured it worked out since we hadn't stopped by for dinner. We grabbed the usual appetizers- fried calamari, miso soup, and edamame. There isn't much of a difference between the lunch and dinner AYCE menu besides the side sashimi option and a few extra appetizers. It's unfortunate that they don't include any scallop nigiri or rolls on their dinner menu. Unless you're planning on ordering sashimi, I feel the lunch special has more value to it if you're doing all you can eat. The sashimi itself is really fresh. The yellowtail was to die for!!!! The rice on the nigiri during this visit didn't taste as fresh as when we stopped by for lunch a few weeks ago; it was a bit on the harder side. I will like to say that the service was great! The severs were very welcoming and very attentive throughout the whole visit. We usually go to Sushi Taku in the city when craving AYCE but if you're near O'Hare, woodfield mall, or Schaumburg area- I definitely recommend this place- mostly for the value!!! Hehe
I would give E Sushi a solid 3 Stars. I am someone who will always order Salmon when I go out for AYCE Sushi. I have to say, the Salmon tasted a bit sour and fishy for the most part. The rice was seasoned but a bit of a weird temperature. As you can see in the picture I had a couple pieces of Salmon Sashimi that was great and fatty and couple that were odd cuts and tasted sour + smelled fishy. 2 stars on the sushi. I am giving 3 stars for mostly the service and the appetizers as they were superb. I am not rushing to come back but I will say the ambience was nice. Pricing is reasonable for AYCE Sushi.
eSushi is somewhat hidden near the corner of a strip mall, next to a United Health Care office. Ambiance: Really nice. They have this cool display of illuminated fish on the wall and a TV showing random sea creatures underneath the ocean. Very soothing. Service: Good as well. Our waitress gave us menus and all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi paper, and came back constantly to make sure we were all good. Food: decent sushi selection. Make sure you read the description of the rolls via the non-paper menu. You can order two pieces of sashimi for every roll. They also had appetizers like miso soup, crab Rangoon, and edamame, to name a few. Price was as expected for AYCE, around $25. I honestly forgot the price, but it wasn't something that made me think twice about. I will come here again.
Was looking for an AYCE sushi place for an afternoon date and stumbled on eSushi! In a very unassuming plaza, eSushi has some of the best sushi in the area. For the price this place was very good. The selection of AYCE sushi is excellent and includes specialty rolls, regular rolls and nigiri. They even have a selection of appetizers that are included in the AYCE option. You know how sometimes when you order AYCE, the rolls start to taste the same? NOT HERE! I was very satisfied with the meal and happy the quality of ingredients exceeded my expectations.
The host greeted and seated us immediately and was very friendly. The place has a nice interior with tables and booths available. The server was not very welcoming and seemed angry/annoyed and didn't really interact with us. The food was okay. The crab ragoons and gyozas were the best part. The volcano roll was like three fish put together in one roll so it was a weird taste. The Hokkai roll was deep fried which was good but there was a lot of cream cheese and it overwhelmed the rest of the taste of the roll.
Imo this is the the best ayce sushi options in the suburbs. There are tons of special Maki rolls to choose from, with great appetizers, side sashimi and even a cute little mochi to top it off. Everything I got was absolutely delicious and fresh. The size of the rolls isn't too big or packed with rice which I appreciated, you can definitely try a variety if you pace yourself. The service is also quick and friendly, without that watching over your shoulder feel. Highly recommend!
I will make sure to make an updated review of me actually being in the restaurant, but for now this was my takeout experience: The sushi took a bit to make, but that's because we got a HUGE order. So that isn't something I will count. The sushi looked amazing and im sure my experience would've been great if I went inside the restaurant. Food was great and everything was fresh and didn't have a fishy taste at all. I would recommended this place if you're craving a wide variety of sushi options. (Their menu is huge, and they have hamachi!)

I came here twice in one month to try both lunch and dinner AYCE sushi. I think their cost performance as a sushi restaurant is so far the best in the suburbs. If you go to the Japanese grocery market nearby, you have to pay $10 to $12 for a package w 10+ nigiri, which you cannot choose what you wanna eat. And pretty much they are all dry because they sit on the shelf for a while. This place makes foods on the order, so everything tastes fresh and sushi rice is still soft and nicely flavored. I personally LOVE salmon roe since my childhood. When I went to rotary sushi chain in Japan, I always grabbed salmon roe sushi. In here at a grocery market, I have to pay more than $10 for a tiny package of salmon roe. But here, dinner AYCE does include salmon roe. I think it is amazing. My wife hates salmon roe, and I understand for some people who did not grow up with it, salmon roe is tough to take. How about soft grilled eel? Fresh tuna, smoked salmon, yellow tail, and red snapper? I have no idea how they do it, but they all constantly taste good enough for more than 4 stars. Only two items so far below 4 stars were egg and red clam shellfish, which was rather dry and lack of flavors I like. But I don't think any other places in the area can beat this service for now. I don't want it to be so full all the time, and some COVID related incident to happen or something. But for Chicago suburbs sushi lovers, this place should be recognized better! Oh, one more thing. I am not really big fan of American sushi rolls, but I loved green dragon roll here! Probably one of the best sushi rolls in Chicago suburbs I have tried. read more

It looks amazing! When you see it you think - Oh Gosh, I am gonna eat all this, but after 3 sushi pieces you are done! :-D I can definitely say they are good. Dynamite was my choice. Even though it has a mark it is spicy, I didn't feel any spiciness. But besides that they are definitely great place! Will try few more and decide which one is my favorite. read more

We appreciated the staffs' openness and patience to answer our dietary restriction questions. With that being said we did feel rushed by our waitress when ordering. We didn't even have time to review our order. She pretty much ordered for us. The crazy tuna roll was too much tuna. It did not look appetizing which also contributed to us not finding it very tasteful. It was our least favorite roll. The shumai we got was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Very unappetizing. The edamame was not salted. Bummer. However the Godzilla, American Dream, and Pop up were all delicious. Overall it is decent sushi restaurant. I might return on a more busy night to see if that makes a difference in their flavors. read more

To start off, I'd give this place a 3.5. Anyways, finally got to try this place out! I was super excited because it's so close to my place. An AYCE sushi place walking distance from home and across from AYCE kbbq restaurant?! Yes please! I was crossing my fingers hoping this place was solid. I took my brother and went during lunch time to try their AYCE. With their soft opening, they were having 20% off. The place is really clean and cute. It's so unfortunate that it's located in the corner of the plaza, very hard to see. Service was phenomenal and servers were very attentive but we were the only customers there. Also, there are many restaurants that are giving water bottles for safety precaution during this time due to covid, but this place brings the water out in the pitcher (something they might want to consider). Price was very reasonable for AYCE but food was just alright. I usually get nigiris and not the rolls but we tried out the volcano roll and it was actually really good. A little kick with a nice flavor and not too much rice. However, the nigiris were pretty disappointing. It was pretty fresh and but the portion of the rice! it's just too much! A good nigiri is all about about that perfect rice to fish ratio- with a little rice and a nice thick cut of the fish. The rice didn't even stick together and it kept falling apart when we picked it up. If they got this part down, I'd go here ALL the time. But I will definitely go back and try other things on their menu aside from AYCE. There are definitely better AYCE sushi places around..it's just that it's not as close as this place. For the small dishes, edamame was bland and I don't think it was salted at all. Presentation of the salad was very simple, and they used some soy/ponzu base dressing which was very new. Overall, a solid 3.5 stars. read more

This was my first time coming here and it's definitely going to be on my top list! The raw fish tastes very fresh and a nice temperature (not too cold) but the appetizers were okay. Some items I would recommend are the rainbow roll, salmon roll, and the eel nigiri! The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that waiting for our order took around 35 minutes! read more

My cousin and I went here around 2pm on a Sunday. We enjoyed the all you can eat set up. Restaurant location is unassuming and part of a strip of restaurants. We had good service. Gave us the right amount of attention and made sure we had plenty of water. We both really enjoyed the crab Rangoon and was happy to try it part of the all you can eat menu. We each ordered two signature rolls to start. We probably could have stopped there. But we each ordered one more of the classic rolls. Everything was tasty. We liked the Godzilla the best of all. honestly a little disappointed. people raved about this place and i was so excited for the ayce option since there isn't any restaurants in the area that offer that. i've been to a lot of ayce sushi and usually dinner has a variety of options but felt that the rolls all sounded and tasted the same. the sashimi i ordered was still partially frozen as well and i had to wait for it to thaw out a little. maybe this is normal to ensure safety? idk but i've never experienced eating frozen sashimi before. i came around the start of dinner time with no guests so our food came out very quickly. there was also outside seating on a beautiful day! staff was friendly and they offered 20% off for their grand opening. read more

Make no mistake -- the all you can eat sushi deal is EXCELLENT for the price & the types of rolls/dumplings/other menu items you'll have access to when you order. The service is polite & attentive, and the food is really good. One point off for ambiance because it's so dark in there that my friend joked it would be a good place to break up with someone (no one can see the tears), but the bathrooms are clean and I'd definitely return. read more

Honestly not sure how did that place got so many 4 and 5 star reviews. I went there yesterday for AYCE. The price for dinner is $24.95, which is not bad if the place is worth it. The interior is ok, its clean but has no heat whatsoever, it was freezing. The appetizers were horrible, especially the fried one, you could tell that the oil they were fried in is not from today or worst yesterday (see attached photos). They were reheating the miso soup in the microwave and the edamame as well! The rolls and nigiri were ok, I cant complain the they were made okay. The server was barely speaking english and not very friendly, it was hard communicating. I wouldn't go there twice. read more

Found this gem in Mount Prospect along Golf and Busse. Came in for the lunch special all you can eat, and they offer a wide arrange of appetizers, rolls, and nigiri. I tried their rainbow, Chicago, and green dragon. They were superb! I also enjoyed their variety of appetizers from siomai, gyozas, etc. I think the nigiri here is super fresh and perfect. Service was fast and prompt. Very friendly and check up on you often in a polite way. Plenty of parking in their plaza as well. Definitely a try when crazing sushi in Mt. Prospect! read more

We tried this place today, they just opened on 8/3/20. We ordered the Tamago nigiri, smoked eel nigiri, and the Dynamite roll. For an appetizer, ordered the Jalapeño Bomb. We placed our order on line. The food was ready when I arrived. They are doing all the right COVID-19 protocols. The food was all very good and portions were also very nice. They do have a large menu, so we will be going back to try o More of what they have to offer. Service was very friendly and read more

I was very impressed with this spot. All you can eat and the sushi was fantastic! They also customized some of the rolls to go with my dietary restrictions which was very appreciated. The waitresses were also very friendly. Will come again soon! read more
