If you want beachside dining, Estrella del Mar is one of the most popular options in La Paz. You can dine inside, on the covered patio, or let your feet slip into the sand while you dine on the beach. And let me add that the sun sets over the water - so lovely. Our group of six started with frozen margs, micheladas (note: micheladas all over Mexico vary, so specify what ingredients you want in it. Our friends ordered everything from ceviche, pizza, tacos, tostadas, and seafood plates. Beer arrived cold; margaritas were on the sweet side. But overall, food was really good. The aguachile is a must - it was spicy as hell. Just the way I like it. The Guasabi and the Chiqueda were additional popular items at our table. Credit cards accepted.

Service was non existen we waited not than 20 min to get acknowledged. The place was not busy at all, it shouldn't have taken that long to get a menu Waiters are wondering around lost. I would not recommend this place. Avoid it!

This is one my favorite restaurants in La Paz. The seafood is always so fresh and everything is made from scratch. My favorite is the tropical ceviche. It's the best and I always look forward to it when I visit La Paz. The service is great too.

Cucumber salad, refreshing with a spicy kick!

Everything is amazing. 10/10. I highly recommend. The seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious, the monster ceviche is killer. The view is gorgeous. They have live music most evenings, classic rock, yacht rock, Mexican rock, a little bit of everything. The staff are all so kind, helpful and attentive. If you're in la Paz, don't miss a sunset dinner here

Affordable, cute ambiance, and food is pretty tasty! Service was a bit slow, but we were on vacation so we were fine waiting :)

This place is so legit!!!! Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a little more low key. If you want to catch the game or bite, inside is great, want something a little more romantic, their outside seating is perfect. Tables are a little rustic on right on the water. Alright now the food, BEST IN TOWN!!!! Super hearty portions and I must say, try what you can and then take the rest home. The service is great too. I love when waiters/waitress/host notice things. We got a margarita and I think just with the weather it melted quite quickly. Our waiter saw and asked if we didn't like it, he had been great the entire day, joked with us, gave great options just hands down amazing, so we didn't complain. Just said yes and left it at that. He came back with 2 shots and took the margarita and said "here, take this instead" he knew our vibe. I believe his name was Daniel. Was a nice guy and actually grew up in Huntington beach. Nice to meet a local there and from basically our home too.

    Lunch?

Oh my. This place. It's not good. We waited an hour for our tacos and they had a couple small pieces of fried fish on a tortilla. No slaw, sauce, etc. It was bland, unsatisfying and not filling. How is that a lunch? It's deep fried fish on a tortilla. And why did it take an hour or make? The staff was very friendly but seemed a bit frantic. The chaos surrounding us was overwhelming, only complicated by the floor under us shaking violently every time someone walked by. Don't get me started on the music. The playlist was excruciating. I'll never get this piece of my life back. And for that I have to leave this regretful review.

Love the shrimp tacos ... really good flavor ... as well as the tostados chips and hot sauces.

Service was very bad. No ever came to ask of anything was needed. Waited 10 minutes just to receive my bill after asking for it.

Looking at old photos of the exterior, it's no wonder we've passed this place up every time we've driven through. It was around evening time when we noticed their business sign -bright and vivid. We were familiar with the restaurant in Cabo so we knew the seafood would be good. We had to stop by as we were too starve to wait. We were greeted, seated and given menus immediately. A complimentary tea cup size fish broth arrived at our table; it was bland, but hot. I ordered my usual mixto civeche as my partner with her usual clams. Our food and drinks arrived in no time. While she had no complaints, unfortunately, my ceviche was not what I had expected. I figured since I liked the Toro Guero in Cabo so much, La Paz location would not disappoint. My mixto ceviche was dry and was missing seasoning. It was missing a "kick." Nonetheless, I lemoned it up and finished the entire dish without issues. Like I said, I was hungry. We returned today before our flight back home to San Diego. I wanted to try something new. The shrimp burrito was ok. Not alot of shrimp, too mushy due to guacamole and the tortilla fell apart....to heavy and wet. I used a fork to finish the rest. Staff members are attentive. I would return again and maybe try sometime different

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.
