For moderate to severe psoriasis the drugs are probably a good option, but there's real risks. Before modern drugs, the only way to control psoriasis was by exposure to UV rays. Dermatologists still offer UV treatments in their clinics. UVB rays are the most helpful for psoriasis. At Rio Tanning I use a bed that has 70% UVA rays and 30%UVB rays. I recently had my yearly checkup with my dermatologist and he confirmed that for this is the best way for me to treat my psoriasis.
