Ordered a pool from Walmart and scheduled a delivery for a Tuesday. I waited all long for the shipment. I finally called the main office and was informed the online schedule delivery service "never works". I got hung up on twice, put on hold for an hour and a half, then they told me the item had been in their warehouse for a week, but they could not deliver it till Friday. Horrible service. read more

First of all I want to start with saying if I could leave a zero I would..... I don't even know where to begin but let's start with the email confirmation that I received that said my package would be delivered on May 11, 2016. May 11 comes and goes no package May 12 comes and goes no package May 13 I call now keep in mind that it's 4 PM when I call and they tell me that the warehouse is closed and there's nothing they can do about it till Monday because it's on a Friday... Gentlemen takes my number and says he'll have somebody call me first thing Monday morning. Monday morning comes and goes no call Monday afternoon I call back the transfers me to the local warehouse in my area and the gentleman schedules an appointment for the package to be delivered between 10 and 12 PM the next day which is a Tuesday. Keep in mind the email I received said that there was no signature required ,they would drop it in the first dry Space on our porch or driveway. So a couple minutes before 12 that day the driver calls me and tells me he's held up at another delivery and that he'll be there before 3 PM ,I tell him to just leave it he insists that he has to have a signature so I canceled my son's doctor appointment come home and wait for him. Few minutes before three he calls me and tells me that now I can't come because he's on another delivery they can't get away from and it will be sometime after 6 PM I referred him to the email that I received and told him that it does not need a signature and it didn't matter what time it was at night just leave it on the porch at this point I'm getting extremely frustrated. I wake up Wednesday morning nothing there so I begin the phone calls again to what turns out to be an office in Virginia. I'm in Washington state 3000 miles away. So she then again transferred me to the warehouse and the gentleman says he is so sorry that but he can't have the package there today I told them that I just cancel it and give me my money back he puts me on hold for 15 minutes comes back and says he's made arrangements for somebody bring it to me right away they're gonna put it on the van and come right away I asked him what time he would be here he said before 2 o'clock. And behold 2 o'clock comes and goes no package ...3 o'clock comes and goes no package 4 o'clock I call again the office in Virginia they again call the other dispatch at that time after 30 minutes more of being on hold they tell me that the delivery driver says his GPS told him he's 10 minutes away and he'll be here in 10 minutes so at this point I said fine it's on the way just send it. 20 minutes later the delivery driver calls me and wants to know if I'm going to be here because he needs a signature and he still at the warehouse ARE U KIDDING ME?? they just told me he was in traffic 30 minutes ago and that he was 10 minutes away. At this point I tell him I want to speak to his manager.... Finally the person who runs the warehouse gets on the phone and he has no idea of my delivery or what I'm talking about now keep in mind that I have told his whole story 15 times to 15 different representatives he again says that he is so sorry he calls the original people that I've been talking to for the last seven days and confirms that the package does not need a signature I explained to him that I have a screaming one-year-old and a dog that I have to lock up if I open the door and I'm trying to make dinner for husband he's been at work all day-he speaks to corporate they tell him it doesn't need a signature and assured me the package will be here in 10 minutes at this point I just want my money back but I tell him fine if you could be here in 10 minutes just send it. So five minutes later the van pulls up are you kidding me the whole time this package was at a warehouse five minutes away? I've been waiting 16 days for a package that was five minutes away... He pulls up in a raggedy dingy dirty white pedophile van with no markings on it whatsoever or young kid gets out looks like he's been doing construction work all day knocks on my door when I open the door and ask him does he have my package he says yes but I wanted to make sure you were home because I need a signature.... At this point I'm nearly ready to SCREAM!!! I told him it does not need a signature to call the supervisor to just leave the package and I shut the door. Comes back with the packages and says he's not going to leave it without a signature I told him to leave then and just make sure they give me my money back. Five minutes later he walks back up to my porch and throws the package on the front porch and leaves. I have never in my life had such bad experience with the shipping company. Only thing I can say is that the people in Virginia every time I called them they seem to care and were almost as disgusted as I was at the situation the problem was that they are in Virginia and I'm in Washington state . THE WORST DELIVERY SERVICE IMAGINABLE. If your Walmart/Target order decides to use this courier you WILL be better off canceling your order. I was scheduled to receive my order on 5/26 between 11AM and 3PM. My package arrived at 10:40 AM. There was someone at home to receive the package, but there was a miscommunication that prevented the person from receiving the package. I was LITERALLY 10 min down the street. The driver REFUSED to wait from me to arrive home. So I had to reschedule 4 DAYS Later. Now I am on the phone with a customer representative about the delivery RESCHEDULED for today. They CANNOT find my tracking information. In other words, I will be forced to wait an additional day for my package. TERRIBLE SERVICE! I need this package badly. Wow, I feel bad having only nice things to say about Estes when so many people have listed negative reviews. We shipped our house full of furniture from Michigan to Nevada in a u-pack trailer. The trailer was clean, had great movable bulkheads and arrived early. I had never heard of them when they showed up to pick up our stuff but the driver was nice and I made some call to verify who they were. We had 250 boxes of goods and furniture and nothing was damaged. We packed it tight and they drove it well. I see individual items are getting damaged, and that seems to go back to the manufacturer from our current experience. Thanks Estes - your u-pack service was fantastic. Worst shipping company I've encountered. Unfortunately, the companies I've ordered from keep using "lowest rate" instead of "reliability". I paid for my equipment two weeks ago, and just like last time, Estes is holding my delivery hostage. They always feign, "We've been trying to get in touch" when they absolutely have NOT - and I sent them an email advising I only need a 10-minute window for delivery, yet still no delivery. Ordered a 150lb piece of furniture from wal mart. The driver was 2.5 hours late and literally rolled the box to our door cause he didn't have a dolly. How incredibly unprofessional. The box was open and has at least 13 holes in it. The corners of the table inside are smashed. Now trying to get it picked up and a new one delivered. Waited for new one to show up on delivery date... nobody ever came. They sent us an email that is was coming that day. Called Estes and they don't even know where the new one is. Promised to get a call back on 3 separate occasions and that never happened. What a joke of a company. Never again will I buy from wal mart or anyone using Estes as a carrier. Update: Estes gave my shipment to another company this morning but decided they dont want to be a possible surcharge for my delivery so they are sending it back to the same terminal warehouse. They said the truck will most likely come tomorrow after the estes trucks have shipped out. So they are estimating a wednesday delivery date to just drop off some couches on a curb. I ordered an engine from LKQ, and had to return the first one. The second engine they decided to ship with Estes. I was told that I was to expect it Monday 6/10/19 which I took the day off to do. No calls, truck or anything. I decided to call Echo, the logistics company that essentially coordinates the trucks, shipping of items etc and they gave me the number to Estes, as well as a different tracking number which is apparently the way Estes does things. I called Tuesday, Wednesday, and now today, Thursday... I keep getting told that it arrived at their facility and someone should be calling me to set up a residential appointment. I just want my engine.. I rent a car by the week and this is really killing me. I don't think I've ever had to practically beg for something I paid for, but c'mon. I literally made an account just to put this review out there. Normally I don't complain or anything but this is just ridiculous. They told me to expect a call either tomorrow or Monday! I only had this week available to barely be able to bring the engine to the shop, and next week that isn't gonna happen. Thanks a ton... and I will be upset if this engine is damaged in anyway because then it's gonna be a few MORE weeks of waiting and money wasted. This thing should have been delivered a long time ago. Just an update... Was asked if Friday or Saturday would be fine. Asked for today (Friday) and to be alerted ahead of time so I can schedule to get out of work. Far before we reached this point, on Monday I made them aware I work everyday, and the primary number to call should be my cell. Well, I get told by someone in my house who doesn't know what's going on that she scheduled it for MONDAY!!!!! REALLY?! DO I SOUND LIKE A FEMALE? My house phone is NOT my cell phone. And I call back to try and fix it and of course I am told AGAIN to be patient and give them a chance to call me. I have given them the entire week! Every day following Tuesday I was told repeatedly that it was received by their Residential Shipping Dept... Where is it going other than my house if it already got to that department?! This is utterly ridiculous... I paid a premium for that engine and now I am gonna have to wait another TWO WEEKS before I have the time again to bring it by the shop and be told if its a bad egg or not. Double update... Got a ton of help from Jill in moving the process along during an unpleasant call. I had called again since it was coming up on the end of the day and was told to expect a call again, and they'll call me regarding picking it up personally. Unfortunately Amanda with the Baltimore terminal was not willing to give me the details of the phone number to reach the people or an address to just show up at. Luckily during this time, Jill gave me a call and I was able to get a contact as well as an address. I had to take off work a few hours early to get a truck and get to Baltimore but it worked out... I got my engine, and it looked good and I was able to get it to the shop which funny enough was a hop skip and a jump away. read more

I had a delicate scientific instrument delivered to my business. Estes was able to pick up the equipment in a neighboring state the same day I placed the order. That was fast service. The equipment was not well packed and required additional packing that Estes did at their depo. They charged $50 for the packing which was high but they were the lowest bid for the shipment. Delivery was to be one business day but it turned into a two day shipment. So why did I give them 4 out of 5 stars? The drivers at pick up and delivery were very good. The overall cost was reasonable, and delivery while delayed was reasonable as well. I would use Estes again. I've shipped many large items by truck in the past and Estes was better than average. Thank you Estes for not breaking my delicate scientific instrument. read more

Our company ordered a pallet from our distributor...unfortunately for us they chose Estes to ship it out. We knew there was an issue from the beginning when our distributor said they did not come to pick up the pallet on the day they were suppose to...not only that but they missed the following day which was then proceeded by a 3 day weekend. Now the issue is... our pallet has been sitting in their warehouse SEVEN minutes from us and it has been there for a total of 5 days....how does it take over 5 days to drive seven minutes down the road?? This is not efficient if you have a business! What's worse is calling and talking to the employees. Between my business partner and I, we called a total of 3 times and received different answers each time we called as to why we weren't going to be receiving our shipment that day. The most honest answer was "it's ready to be picked up, we just don't have the drivers" ??? then why did you contract our shipping pallet if you don't have the employees to run the operation? Such bad business. I don't care to get a response from these people, I just want my pallet. They are only hurting their business in the end. No one will order shipping from this company if they continue to respond this way. Moving forward, we have specifically outlined to all our distributors that we REFUSE to ship estes. They get it. Similar experience as prior reviewers....Estes was supposed to deliver a treadmill. A few days after placing the order I received an email from Estes stating they would call to schedule an appointment. After 2 weeks and no call, I called them. They scheduled for the following week with an appoitment window of 8am-12pm. Today is the day of delivery. At 12:55 I called customer service. Was on hold with for 20 minutes before finding out that it should arrive around 3pm. read more

They called me on 10 November to set up a delivery time on Monday 14 November between 10 and 2. So i took off work to be available for delivery. Well about 1:45 and I still hadn't heard anything so i decided to call and see what was going on. Come to find out the "delivery guy was stuck at a different warehouse and it should be there no later than 3 pm." 3 pm rolls around and i still hadn't heard anything so I call again and this time they say 3:30. So in the end it shows up about 3:30 with no apology from them for the delay. I paid 99 dollars to have a crib shipped to me, and took a day off of work you would think the least they could do is give me an accurate time frame of when it will be delivered. So far, I've been trying to get my urgent product to my warehouse for the past week, and they still fail to make delivery appointments, and always claim to do so. So I bought flooring from Home Depot and Estes is suppose to deliver it. My flooring is sitting at the Phoenix terminal for 10 days now. I called Estes three times last week. First call was on Monday and I was told I would get a phone call the next day from the residential delivery to set up delivery, no one called. Called again on Wednesday and was told they didn't have Freight Bill to deliver and they would get back with me, they never did. I called on Thursday and was told the same thing that they did not have a Freight bill to deliver. I informed the lady they can deliver the product with the packing list that's on the pallet. She said she would get back with the same day but never did. I still have not heard back from Estes. You would think Estes would try to do a better job with all these negative reviews, but I guess they don't care. I should have had my flooring installed by now but with Estes incompetence I still don't have my flooring. To top it all of my home is torn apart waiting for this flooring and it looks like now it won't be installed now before Thanksgiving and I have all the family coming over which I will have to cancel if I cant get the flooring installed and my house put back together. Thanks Estes! I can't wait fro tomorrow to see what excuse they have this time. UPDATE: So I called Estes again ( 4th time ) and again no delivery schedule. I talked to lady today and she tried transferring me to the right people and could not get a hold of them. She said she would email them and try again later and would call me back which she did not. I replied to Brianna with my PRO number because she said she would look into this to help get it resolved and I all got from her is a automated email reply. I have come to the conclusion that Estes has no plans delivering my product. I believe this is Estes business model, don't deliver, don't return phone calls and with in time the customer will get pissed enough they will go to the terminal and pick it up. If they expect me to pick it up they will be wrong. Estes will either deliver it to me or send it back to Pergo. I guess tomorrow I will need to elevate this and get Home Depot and Pergo involved. Stay tune for tomorrows update. Update: Called Estes again yesterday and got the same answer as previous calls. They said the would send email to delivery department and would get back with me.I asked for the phone number to the residential delivery department and she said they don't have one she could only email them.Soon as I got off the phone with Estes I call Home Depot because I was tired of the bullshit. The Home Depot rep called Estes while I was on hold and came back and told me Estes would be calling me in 24 to 48 hours to set up delivery, I heard that crap many times. About ten minutes after I hung up with Home Depot Estes called me to set up delivery appointment. Appointment was set for today between 8am and 5pm and the driver would call me 30 minutes prior to delivery. Nothing like having a 9 hour delivery window, glad I'm retired so I was able to be home. Delivery driver showed up at 2:30 today with my freight. The driver was very nice and even ask If I wanted him to put my two pallets on the back patio by the patio door so it would be easier for me to get in the house. Ordered a 7000 dollar engine that was imported to California. 1200 lb pallet an a half package, so I pay an extra 300 dollars for shipping to my garage. According to tracking, pallet makes it across the country in 4 days. Sits 15 miles from my house. 3 days later, tracking shows that they have finally given they package to the final delivery agent(Estes final mile). Wait for a week(I'm generally a patient person). No updates. Finally call the corporate office. They say that they gave it to Final Mile a few days ago. I call Final Mile. They put me on hold and then hang up on me. Finally I get ahold of them and they say they just got it that day? At this point I don't know who is lying. I schedule a delivery appointment with Final Mile on my day off work between 3:00 and 7:00(today). I get a text today that says it is out for delivery. Never came, no call, no text, no anything. Will keep posting updates. Engine better not be damaged in any way or I'm probably gonna lose it. Will never use this company again. read more

Having been a logistics manager for a major big box retailer for 30 years I have a fairly good idea of the trucking industry from containers coming in from overseas to final mile and home delivery from the facility. I know I am only one of who knows how many deliveries Estes conducts for Home Depot but it is mine that I am concerned with. The original estimated delivery date for my order was between the 18th and 20th. I had not heard anything of the delivery so I contacted Estes on the 21st and they committed to a delivery on the 22nd between 9and 5. At 3 pm on the 22nd after no word from the carrier, I called Home Depot who followed up with Estes, eventually placing us on a conference call since Estes claimed the delivery for the 22nd never existed. I know I didn't imagine a conversation that instructed me to expect a delivery between 9 and 5 that I ( or someone) had to be there to sign for the delivery. So after a discussion that basically said the conversation never happened on the 21st, Estes said they will deliver on Monday. After the third party discussion, the Home Depot Rep ended up lacing a credit to my account which was highly appreciated. After ending the call, I checked my phone log that clearly shows a call to the Estes Division that takes care of their final mile at 10:58 on the 21st. I asked them to make the delivery on Saturday since I already had to push off my installer and now have to do so again. The bottom line to me is that regardless of the name on the delivery truck, it is still Home Depot's name and brand that is being exposed when situations like this unfold. I hope this is a one off deal but had the distinct impression that the Estes agent might benefit from some residual service training, a situation shared by the Home Depot agent who had the conversation on tape and took the step of issuing a credit back to my purchase. Wish I could give less than 1 Star and I never leave complaints but this has been ridiculous. We were told by the company that we ordered through that there would be a delivery window of May 29 or 30 but that we would get a call to set up the time. They were given work numbers just Incase they tried to call during work hours. Got a call on my cell voicemail at 0830 this morning saying we missed our delivery appointment... an appointment we were never notified of. So I tried to get the delivery address changed and the first girl we spoke to was helpful and stated that would not be a problem just to call back with the new address. Called back with a delivery address that we knew someone would be home and I got a different lady who said that No that wasn't possible and if I wanted to change the delivery address that would change the delivery day and we would have to wait for ANOTHER call back for that. So now I have to take a whole day off of work because the delivery window is 9-5 and no delivery on Saturday.... even the cable guy gives a better service window. I get maybe 12-5 or 9-12 but the whole freaking day?! Unacceptable... I will be telling the company I ordered from that I will not only never do business with them as long as they use this delivery company, I will also strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Very poor service from Estes company. It took four weeks for our initial delivery date to complete. When the driver finally arrived at our residence we were told that he needed help to offload the merchandise from the truck. It was three 200 pounds boxes. Since my husband and I are retired and not able to help the driver, the driver's manager told him to return the merchandise to the docks. We had to call our son at work to come help with this issue. That took him three hours off work. This was all very upsetting and stressful. This is the first time this happened to us. We will never use this company again. read more

Terrible customer service. I selected unattended delivery on the Estes website and received two emails of such. Today they cancelled my delivery and returned it to the store. They say they attempted to contact me and never saw the unattended delivery memo. When I called customer service with Estes and Walmart on the line Walmart reports all was well To ship to me and they do not have the return. Estes says they attempted to reach me multiple times and then returned the item. I never got a call on my cell, husband's cell, or email and Estes has all of that info. Walmart is reissuing my $600 order and thinks the Estes driver stole the grill that should have been delivered to me today. read more

I recently had a pallet with several boxes of antique porcelains delivered by Estes. It started at their Philadelphia terminal and was delivered by a driver from their Rockford terminal. I had never used the service before and was nervous after reading all these reviews. But it seems the quality of their service relies heavily on the terminal you use. We had a perfect experience - the terminal called to set an appointment that was ahead of the estimated delivery date, the driver let us know he was coming in advance, and our pallet and all boxes arrived without so much as a scratch. It's worth noting that we used a professional packer for the boxes, but I have nothing but praise for the Estes employees we encountered. read more

Ordered a $1500 stainless steel brush guard for my new truck and was out of stock like most things in this covid world we live in now. After months of waiting it finally shipped with Estes. I was sent a text what day it was to be delivered and a window of 12-4pm. Well 4pm came and went so I finally call them around 5:45pm to be told the driver was not coming. I then volunteered to meet the driver so I could get my delivery.. Driver didn't get there until 8:00pm, nothing against the driver I realize everyone is short staffed in these times of chaos. Felt bad for him as he still had an 1hr 30min drive back ahead of him. Anyway we pull it off the trailer this $1500 stainless brush guard I waited months for and it's damaged. The pallet was flipped on its side and the vibrations rubbed through the packaging scratching the polished stainless and marring up the rubber impact strips. It had been hit by forks on a lift a couples times as it was gouged and dinged. After all this I was told residential deliveries cannot be refused, company policy. So then I got to spend 2 hours on the phone with the company I ordered it from to set up my refund, order a pickup so it can be returned and place an order for a replacement that I get to wait for all over again plus not to mention this giant thing sitting in my garage taking up all this space until someone shows up to get it. If you are having something shipped, do yourself a favor, avoid Estes. read more

This company delivered our cabinets from home depot, not once but twice due to ordering issues. Both drivers caused damage to our property by snagging the phone line with the truck and ripping the anchors from the building. Broke the flood light the first time, completely ripped the phone box off the wall the second time after we had begun repairs from the first incident. Neither driver told us about the damage but just took the chance we wouldn't notice we no longer had phone service I guess. We've turned in an estimate for the damages. The company's only response in over 60 days was to tell us they wished to have a second opinion and that we needed to have not one but two separate estimates so they can back charge their drivers. REALLY. we did not cause this damage. And they are making ZERO EFFORT to compensate us. I actually tipped the driver and helper, they still said nothing, just acted like I owed them... knowing you trashed my property you still accepted a tip?? SHAME ON YOU BOTH. read more

So the delivery date shown on tracking means nothing to this company. When I called them this morning, on my scheduled delivery date, here is what they said. "We only do residential deliveries on certain days. So we will call you in a few days and let you know when we can get the delivery to you." LOL This is thousands of dollars worth of plumbing equipment that is needed tomorrow. Build.com, the shipper, assured me it would be delivered on time, but apparently Estes delivers when they feel like it. They are happy to let it sit on a dock somewhere while they rudely act like it is my fault because it's a residential delivery. What I learned: If you buy something from a company and see ESTES FREIGHT as the shipper, cancel the order immediately and buy it somewhere else. ESTES FREIGHT is a NIGHTMARE!!! read more

One star is way to much. Where to start.... The first call was from Donna in Madison on Wednesday to let me know the delivery would be the next day, Thursday for a pallet from Build.com in Waterloo, IA to Hartford, WI. Then when it did not show up I called Donna and she said "we had a problem on the road" and it would be delivered Friday. After no delivery on Friday I called and was told "we can not find your pallet, it might have been dropped at another location and it might be on its way to Los Angeles. I called Wednesday and asked if I can expect Delivery soon. I was told they had not picked it up but "my pick up was the drives next stop". So I called again on Thursday since tracking info was not updating and I was told they had no idea where this order is. I asked the lady on the phone to help me figure out if it was picked up and when I could expect delivery. She said "It's not my job." I was floored and asked for the supervisor who said it might be in Madison but I would have to call and talk with Dave in the morning. Then on Friday (2nd Friday mind you) they told me " We never picked up a pallet for you". I notified Build .com yet again of another Estes delivery issue and they set up a third order very late on Friday to be delivered at my request by another carrier - (R&L trucking). R&L somehow picked up my pallet in Waterloo on Monday and delivered it to my house the next day around 11:00A.M. I will buy from Build.com again but I will never allow them to ship with Estes. I'll ask for R&L, they did in 28 hours what Estes could not do in over two weeks. read more

They refuse to give an eta only a day and can't even live up to that. My shipment was suppose to be delivered and their option is they can leave it at my house with the keys in it. I guess that is just the fairy tale kingdom they live in. Nothing gets stolen in their world. they have made what should have been a positive experience a truly horrible one. read more

ZERO STARS but sadly Yelp makes you give one.... I had ordered a grill through the Home Depot and said it would be shipped through Estes. Its been several weeks since the expected delivery date and still no whereabouts as to where it is. After speaking with the Estes customer service they cannot provide me with any more information other than its sitting in a trailer at a shipping terminal waiting to be sorted. Never have I experienced such an unprofessional and mediocre company. I do not understand why the Home Depot go through these bafoons to ship their products. At this point, I'll be getting my money back from something that I haven't even seen or used yet. Way to go Estes & Home Depot for being the worst companies. read more

I had a treadmill I needed to return from Wal-Mart, and these lunatics were supposed to do it. I went back and forth with them for 7-8 weeks and it was nothing but lies and broken promises. Don't waste your time with them they are unreliable. read more

First of all, I was told that Estes would call to schedule a delivery time... that they did not do. Instead they surprised me yesterday with an order, at a very inconvenient time. When I asked to reschedule, they insisted that they could deliver it without me even being there. I was here when the delivery came, but it made me late to previously scheduled appointment. The delivery man was rude, rushed, and completely incompetent. He ignored me when I was talking to him, got snippy with me when I asked that he didn't leave the shipment in the middle of my drive way... I requested that he put it towards the back of my drive way, just for him to ignore my request and tell me "this is supposed to be curb side"... something I never had any say in. There was no communication about this delivery from the get go, and Estes was absolutely unprofessional. They sent 1 delivery man to drop off a 510 pound item; one that I didn't realize would be packaged the way it was, being that it was being delivered to a residential home, not a shipping dock. The delivery man could have been a bit more understanding to the situation, being that he personally could see that this 500 pound package was being delivered to a 5'1" pregnant lady in a residential neighborhood. But no, he treated me and this delivery as if he was dropping it off to a factory worker who would have a fork lift on hand. I have not yet opened the package, it's still sitting in my drive way... because I didn't have time to make arrangements for it, being that I had absolutely no clue when it would be coming to my house. But it is obvious that there is some damage, even without me opening it. I am very disappointed in this company, and if i ever see that a company i am ordering from is using them as the shipper i will not think twice to cancel the order immediately. read more
