I'm so glad that I finally left this office because I have been waiting to write this review for years. I have lived all over the country and have had over a dozen doctors and this is by far the worst healthcare I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this facility to ANYONE. I feel it is necessary to share my experience if it helps someone make the decision not to go here. My last visit with them, towards the end of 2022, was the absolute final straw. I have a genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (type III) that affects my connective tissue, causes chronic joint and muscle pain, and impacts many of my bodily functions. It is a rare and under-researched disease that progresses with age, so a lot of what I am experiencing is very new. Every monthly appointment, I have something new to discuss with my provider, including muscle tension/spasms, urinary and gastrointestinal issues, pelvic floor issues, and extremely painful periods. I have been particularly dealing with digestive issues lately, having little appetite, getting full after two bites, suffering from constipation, and losing 30 pounds without trying in just a few months. I asked for a referral to a GI doctor and while explaining my symptoms, my provider, Roshani, told me that I am "overthinking my symptoms". I was bewildered. How could she look at my chart and see a 30 pound weight loss and tell me I'm overthinking it? It is so incredibly frustrating to know something is wrong with my body but not know what it is and to have minimal support from the person whose job it is to help me. I am in pain constantly, developing new problems every day, and trying to figure them out myself. In fact, Roshani didn't even know what my disorder was until I explained it to her. She clearly doesn't have any education on it because if she did, she would know that my symptoms are very real and all related to my EDS. I had long sensed that she didn't take me seriously, and this incident confirmed it. This caused me to finally switch doctors after 4 years of negative experiences with CBC. In fact, there are so many that I can't even fit them all into one Yelp review, so I took screenshots of the rest. Feel free to read the attached photos that discuss several other incidents that led up to one big incident of the old office manager, Chen, acting incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful towards me. I will note I have never had any personal issues with anyone else in this office, the ladies at the front are very kind, but Chen (who has since been replaced) and Roshani were both extremely unprofessional and horrible to deal with. It blows my mind that this office is still running. I switched to Lahey, who listened and empathized with all of my concerns, and after just one visit, I had several referrals. I wish I switched years ago, maybe my symptoms wouldn't have progressed so badly if I had been appropriately helped when I needed it.

My Primary Care, Julie, got the ball rolling with me even though she was supposed to be on Lunch break. If you ask me that is dedication to her patients and practice. I was in for a routine physical and because of my conditions I had to have a few extra tests done aside from the average patient physical. 8/17/16 I was back in CBC's office this morning and I had another great experience with staff going out of their way to help me get what I needed. Irma and Marla are the greatest they are always so pleasant and helpful. I ran into a slight problem with one of my treatments and the insurance company but Julie and Irma figured out a way to resolve it. All in all these past two visits in the past two days have been a great experience for me. Every visit is always pleasant and very helpful and informative. All of the staff are very nice and helpful and you can ask them any question you may have and feel comfortable. They don't judge they are just there to help you and provide for your needs and answer any question that you have. My experiences have always been great coming here for my medical care. Luckily I live in walking distance of this location. So I have always mentioned that since I can't/don't drive I can only go to the Thorndike St. location. This week I had a appt there. But when I went to check in was informed that the appt. was for there Pawtucket Blvd. location. And they try to make it that was my fault for not requesting to be seen at Thorndike St. As I have said I have only been to their Thorndike St. location in 5 years and do not drive. There should be some place in my personnel info. that I need to be seen ONLY at Thorndike St.

I've never met a healthcare professional with such an abhorrent bedside manner, I would recommend that she work behind a desk all day instead of with patients, but that doesn't seem fair to subject the computer to. She speaks to patients with disgust, disdain, presumption, condescension, and blatant animosity. The way she practices can only be described as lazy, spiteful, and petty; it is clear when you meet with her that she has no intention of helping you get better, her superiority complex prevents her from acting with the patients' best interests in mind, and instead she tosses out diagnoses to make her job easy. Any attempts to advocate for yourself are mocked and ignored, and the clinical notes are written with the intention of making her patients appear like stupid hypochrondriacs for daring to speak up. Lucky for her patients though, she very rarely actually documents the care she provides, and only seems to upload notes when she sees fit. The three notes that she DID write while I was under her care were: 1. Written "with the help" of AI, 2. Had many typos, and 3. Clearly took inspiration from Regina George in Mean Girls when writing the Burn Book. I came to this practice for years seeking help, but they refused to provide me with the care that I needed because they found it easier to blame all everything on me and accuse me of making myself sick. Turns out that it wasn't "anxiety" -- it was a tumor! :-) If you need a new PCP, you're genuinely better off relying on WebMD or asking someone who watches Grey's Anatomy for advice.

Dr Bains has been with my kids since the day they were born. Both my daughters adore her. She is a very thorough doctor that doesn't take chances with the kids. She never speaks to them like are not intelligent people who contribute to their own health and takes seriously any issue they bring up. She is also very honest when we ask about something that is not her specialty and will tell us where her limitations are. Not only does she take physical health seriously she never dismisses anything my kids talk about when it comes to their mental health. She has always been there for us, even through some rough times. She is caring and always available. She has seen us though yearly wellness check ups, depression, broken bones, rashes of all kinds, chicken pox (yes we vaccinated.. got it anyway), even a rare bacterial infections... she is simply wonderful.
