I went in for a Sculptra procedure with Vanessa Moreno at the Redondo Beach location, and I…read morespecifically requested treatment only in my jaw area. After the first jaw injection, the nurse recommended also injecting my mid-face, even though I did not feel that area needed treatment. I agreed because I trusted her professional judgment. During the mid-face injection, she used a needle rather than a cannula and injected from beneath my nose toward the outer part of my right eye. As soon as the injection happened, I felt a sudden zinging sensation shoot toward my eye. I briefly lost vision and felt as though something had entered my eye. Even after I reported these symptoms she dismissed them as "just the lidocaine" and continued the procedure. I believe the procedure was performed unsafely because product was placed in an area I had not originally requested, the injector appeared rushed, a needle was used in a high-risk anatomical area, the injection path was dangerous, and the procedure continued despite my immediate alarming symptoms. Multiple doctors I later consulted told me that safer technique should have been used in that area, including more careful avoidance of the infraorbital foramen and zygomaticofacial nerve possibly using a cannula instead of a needle, and injecting ( like almost all sculptra injectors do) from the outside towards the inside. The day after the procedure, I woke up in excruciating pain with severe mid-face pain, vertigo, a prolonged headache, neurological-type symptoms, and difficulty thinking and speaking. That lasted for 6 weeks. Over time, I also developed ongoing trigeminal-neuralgia-type pain, chronic dry eye with reduced tear production in the eye above the injury, and continued visual disturbance. Prednisone and gabapentin were the only treatments that helped manage the pain and inflammation. I also believe the facility failed to respond appropriately afterward. When I first reported my symptoms, I was only told to take an antihistamine and rub the area, and the nurse did not meaningfully respond despite my repeated outreach. Although the medical director later ordered MRIs, I was not compensated for them, I was not referred to a neurologist or other appropriate specialist, and I felt my symptoms were minimized. Overall, I believe both the procedure and the follow-up care were handled improperly, resulting in severe pain, ongoing neurological symptoms, emotional distress, lost work, and substantial out-of-pocket medical costs. I do not think anyone should be getting PLLA in their face without fully understanding the risks. But if someone does choose to get it, they should go to a doctor who truly understands facial anatomy and the anatomical danger zones, even if it costs more. I bought Sculptra on sale at DermFx and saved a few hundred dollars. Now I owe thousands in medical bills from the injury. If I had gone to someone who knew the anatomical danger zones, years of my life may not have been taken. Please, if anyone knows any professional I can talk to about this, please reach out to me.

I paid $130 for both services and I believe the work is mediocre at best. Hailey unfortunately was very rough, I did ask her to please be more gentle but there wasn't any change in pressure with the file. I feel like my manicure was very rushed because she mentioned she needed to go to Costco before they closed. My appointment was at 5pm, Costco closes at 8pm. After she was finished she did not ask me if I liked my nails or else I would have pointed out the imperfections. Henry did my pedicure. The pedicure overall was very nice and I believe he did a good job. My only problem with the pedicure is I selected the $60 pedicure because I wanted a 15 mins massage as they advertise. I was the only customer is the salon yet Henry got up twice to grab products I assume he forgot to grab. In total I got an 11 mins massage. Maybe I am being nit picky but the $50 pedicure comes with a 10 mins massage. Maybe I should have just opted for that instead and saved some money... Now at the end of the service Nicole asked me if I was satisfied. I was honest with her and showed her how messy my nails were. She tried her best to fix them but as you can see from the photos they are still very fuzzy and not clean. Nicole asked me why I didn't mention this to Hailey and I told her the truth...she didn't ask. For $130 I expected to get at least what I paid for. I did not receive any kind of discount and unfortunately left unsatisfied. I can't see myself coming back. **I also believe it should be noted that the photos of the Botox before & after photos are of the employees.

I came in with a few specific skin concerns and also wanting to just improve my overall appearance. She addressed each one with such kindness and patience. Thanks to MaryEllen it has been a seamless experience and I can't wait for my future treatments with her. I also had a hydra facial recently with Nikki Bruce and absolutely loved it. I was totally glowing afterwards. She knew exactly what my skin needed. I asked if she could set me up with a whole new skincare routine with products and she customized an entire plan for me. I finally feel back on track with taking care of my skin and appearance. Thank you Nikki!! My skin is already looking so much better and I've only had a few appointments at Seaside Skin Care so far. I'm excited for this journey and am so glad to have found Seaside Skin Care. I plan to be a client for many many years to come. The front desk staff is very helpful too. The truth of the matter is that I am a freak for facials and facial products. I am obsessed. I have gone through the world searching out the fountain of youth, and it has worked because I look like I am about um 14 on an old day. So if you are still reading, probably just ladies, I have found perhaps the world's best facialist. Clover is hands-on, totally off-the-wall decadent, experienced, wonderful, kind and gifted. She is all sorts of talented. She just has "it", the "x" factor, that wonderful touch that makes you feel all amazing and J.Lo glowy after you leave. She really wanted me to relax and enjoy myself. She explained everything without upselling, and she was such a graceful and healing presence. She was the most requested facialist at Burke Williams before she started her own place. She is also always super booked, so make sure you get in early and often. You, too, can look like a six year old. She also doesn't leave you in the room with a mask. Oh no, she takes being in the room and healing massage to a different level: she uses healing stones on your feet, puts your hands in warm gloves and basically gives you a full body massage. Massage and facial = yes please!! I'll tell you how good she is: I walked in having a truly awful day, and I walked out knowing and feeling that everything is going to be alright. Now, that's a healing experience.
