However, I was told the full English breakfast here (they call it the Bristolian on their menu) was incredible so I gave it a whirl. I was not disappointed. In fact, I think they may have won me over. First off, the presentation was incredible. I didn't take a picture, but in retrospect I should have, just so you could see it. Second, everything was hot. Like, I burned my mouth because I didn't have the patience to wait for the food to cook a little bit. Worth it. Third, everything was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were crispy and soft on the inside, and perfectly flavored. The bacon was very tasty. The eggs were not over cooked, and were full of flavor. The baked beans were amazing (I didn't see this coming). I usually avoid them anywhere I go, but especially when they're part of breakfast in the UK. Wow! Also, the sesame infused spinach was better than I could have imagined. Fourth, they give you a large portion at a reasonable price. Considering the ingredients are premium quality, this is quite a feat. Being a fairly large guy, who needs a bit more to eat than your average person, I was satisfied with the portions. Lastly, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Incredible service! Do places like this get Michelin stars? Maybe they should. Well done, Bristolian!

Our little window table barely fit us but staff was friendly and took care of us. I picked this place because we don't like English food and I thought they served waffles! Pancakes with bacon instead and a white hot chocolate were amazing! It had a fascinating & eclectic charm that was just what I wanted to experience. Check it out!

Told to find any seat upstairs and order from the QR code on the table. It was easy to use the website and pay through the app. Not long after our food and drinks arrived and all of it tasted so good. The restroom was clean and well maintained. There were people studying since it's near campus as well as working with laptops and such. The room upstairs has wonderful window light and a view of the street if that's your thing. There was water available upstairs self serve and coloring sheets were there for kids too!

At BTP, you will find the most sandwich and full-bodied semi-sweet pancakes you will ever eat in your life. Flavoured with a cascade of maple syrup, they will be the perfect match for the fried bacon with which they are served. Tired of avocado toast - let's face it, I can do it myself at home, without spending nine effing pounds - I wanted to try the famous eggs Benedict. Accompanied by two slices of sourdough toast bread and hollandaise sauce they were fire! I also wanted to add some bacon just to keep it light... because why not?! I was expecting classic American bacon in thin, crunchy and super scorched strips, but I think this is the English version: thick and almost rounded slices, more like a slice of meat, but still delicious af. The meat was tender and cooked evenly, nicely browned at the edges.

We met some friends for a late brunch, all nursing sore heads there was an interesting array of orders going in. I had the chorizo hash with poached eggs, the eggs were cooked to perfection so no complaints there, the hash was a great texture and portion size but it was well over seasoned and this really put me off. My husband had a veggie with burger with added pulled pork (sounds strange) the burger was good although a bit too much bread and the fries were a bit soggy. I do really like the decor, it's got an industrial vibe with added urban chic going on, there's some rather inviting looking a chairs in the window. We also had a red berry iced tea, which was ok, it quenched the hangover thirst so job done! All in all a pretty average experience, there's plenty of exciting independent cafés around the area that i'd recommend trying before settling on BTP!

This is a decent place to stop for breakfast…read more They serve all local produce (including locally sourced meat and they get their sourdough bread from a local bakery.) I had the eggs royale and my friends tried the eggs benedict and the full English. All the food looked, and tasted, lovely, although part of my toast was pretty burnt (no big deal.) The staff seemed really friendly, although not totally with it. We ordered at the till, and then waited for quite a long time for our drinks. Then, a while later, the waitress told us we had already received our food (we hadn't.) I'm not sure where she thought we had hidden all our plates and cutlery!? We also asked for water, which the waitress only remembered right at the end of the meal...then instead of bringing some over, she told us to go to the till to pick it up ourselves. I ordered a smoothie, which was pretty disappointing (it was pretty watery, more like sweet milk than a smoothie...) so I wouldn't bother with that next time. All in all, although my review sounds a bit negative, I enjoyed my breakfast. It was good, but hopefully it'll be better once the staff learn the ropes.

Inside it's cosy and comfortable, the staff are friendly enough, and the menu is quite varied. I'd say the food is ideal snack or lunchtime fare, with sandwiches made using bread from a local bakery just down the road - and some lovely pastries and cakes. On the wall you'll spot pieces of art on sale from the adjoining 'Kondi Gifts' shop, which is linked by a doorway to the café itself, so you can browse around there once you've finished your lunch.

When I first went there with pals I was a bit confused as to what the place was purporting to be but further visits proved it's nicer not really knowing. It offers brunch, lunch and dinner, as well as coffees and alcoholic beverages. The full English was generous enough to keep my husband quiet for at least 20 minutes. And there are also simple breakfast options like poached and scrambed eggs and vegetarian muffins. The vegetarian thrust in the menu is very strong here with stuffed peppers, samosas, frittatas and mezzes. But there are also grander dishes for evening meals like sea bass, steak and Persian lamb. And the scrummy selection of desserts is well worth sampling.

With big shaded tables outside on the terrace of Zetland Road, and some tables inside, the place has the lovely feel of perhaps a Spanish roadside beer stop, but then add to that the incredibly good food and service, and what you have is one of the nicest eateries in North Bristol. I sampled the dinky little Thai fish cakes with a sweet chilli dip and side salad, which was a pretty cheap lunch at only £4.50, along with a bottle of Becks, and I lunched on the terrace, while reading a newspaper. The clientele sharing that lunchtime with me were mixed: on one side, a group of lads having some cider and probably heading towards a slap-up meal, on the other some slightly older women having a catch up over a glass of white wine and, I think, some sort of elegant grilled fish and vegetables. It's a classy place, and really worth a visit. If I have one tiny criticism it's that whoever was in charge of writing up the menu on all the chalkboards has a distinct problem with apostrophes; this place is all about "tea's" and "coffee's" and "drink's". Slightly annoying, but not enough to put me off.

But I thoroughly regret my lack of caffeinated enthusiasm when I go to places such as Boston Tea Party. I had a bit of time to kill earlier so dropped in for a brew. I luckily managed to find a table as it was really busy. Looking around and sussing the place out, it was full of students with text books and macbooks, creative types with moustaches and macbooks and young mums with cake, but without macbooks! Everybody looked as comfortable as if they were in their own living rooms and the sound of everyone chatting really made you feel the atmosphere as soon as you walked in. It was great! The venue is split into 2 levels and the decor is light blue with lots of wood paneling, which works really well. I can imagine it feels just as comfortable in summer and winter. I had a Organic Dragonwell Green Tea which was amazing. I sometimes find green tea to be a little earthy, but this was really light and a little bit citrusy. I definitely recommend it.
