I wish she would also put measurements on pictures when she shows the merchandise. That would be a big help.

This is a "luxury" apartment complex, but be warned that it's basically a retirement home. I'd say,…read morein total honesty, that the average age of a tenant is about 65. The decor is kind of dated and it definitely caters to its older clients. This also means that there is a maintenance staff constantly on the premises, so it's easy to get issues fixed. The location cannot be beat. It's right on the corner of the one of the Squirrel Hill's main streets. Therefore, there are quite a few shops and restaurants totally within walking distance.

That's ok (but why can't they do the repairs prior to the pool season?). There are also frequent occasions when it is closed because they don't have a lifeguard. This year is the worst however, because it should have opened on Memorial Day , but one month later it is still closed due to repairs. They advertise pool use as one of the included amenities, and I pay for it, but I don't get to use it. I'd like to have some of my rent returned to me, or better yet, open the pool!

I had always heard of people in my department saying that they would "check surplus" before…read morepurchasing things like office furniture elsewhere. I finally understand how and why when I took a field trip to surplus myself. Essentially, it's a warehouse of furniture, electronics, cars, antiques, and other random things like faux plants that are no longer in use by the university. Once removed from university grounds, they are taken to this warehouse in Point Breeze and sold for cheap or auctioned off to the general public or university personnel. When I went there, there were several types of chairs including theatre chairs, tables, and more. I recently bought a 19" Dell monitor for $25.00. I was told to just bring the monitor back if I had any issues and they'd just replace. The monitor works perfectly. Office chairs ranged from about $20-60. Larger items like old university cars are auctioned off. It's a really cool place and you'd be really surprised by what you find especially the price! Once I move into my new apartment, I plan to go back to surplus to see what I can find. Because why break the bank with all new furnishings?!?!

$40,000 over asking price!!!…read more Daniel represented us in the sale of our home on Navahoe Drive in Mt. Lebanon. Early on in the process, he counseled us on improvements and updates that were needed to stage our older home for profitable sale. Despite our reluctance to invest in a property we were about to sell, he was resolute and his advice proved to be worthwhile. With respect to asking price, we decided to be conservative, and to allow the market to dictate where the actual sale price would fall. In a four-day whirlwind of home visits, offers and counters, we were fortunate to be able to sell our home at a tremendous price. Daniel managed this process for u.s, kept the lid on our emotions, and guided us to a very profitable sale. Our recommendation is unequivocal. Daniel is an outstanding agent, sensitive to his client's needs, but insistent about his professional opinions. A prospective seller could not find a more attentive real estate agent.

Right off the bat, he made sure my wife and I truly understood what we were getting into - what can we truly afford? can we expect to get a majority of the things we want within our budget? how much money will be need at closing? what should we expect in terms of allegheny county taxes? etc. He really helped level set expectations. And that was wonderful. But his greater value came when he took us to look at houses. Daniel provided great insight into what work / improvements needed to be done to each house and whether the improvements would actually increase the value of the house. Once we moved into the offer and contract phase, he provided consistent support, kept us on task and timeline, and was always available to answer any questions or concerns that we had. Honestly, I couldn't imagine a better experience and I couldn't imagine ever going through the process without Daniel leading the way. If you're in the market for a house, call him.
