I told her it was a issue with either the line, spike, vent, or IV bag itself. Naturally, I was ignored. I might not be a nurse or doctor, but I have been getting the same IV once a week for over 3 years, and I have had this happen before, not only here (the nurse at that time recognized the issue right away) but at other places. 4 pokes later, and she was able to start the drip (if you can call it that). I know my body, I know what's normal, and I have many nurse friends whom I was able to text. She kept making excuses that didnt make sense, and the drip went slower than I can describe. 2.5 hours later, the drip wasn't done, there was pain where the line was injected, AND the bag didnt even finish. I had been there too long, and I started to have pain. There was NO apologies, there was no discount offered for the inconvenience, no one even worried if my car was at a meter and needed a top up because i was there 3x longer than planned.
