I wanted to share my honest experience with The I.V. Doc, because prospective clients should know what to expect if things don't go according to plan. While the registered nurse who administered my treatment was great, the company's overall process and customer care leave a lot to be desired. Normally, my IV treatments take between 60 to 90 minutes that I had done in the past with another company, but this company rushed through it in about 35 minutes--administering glutathione first. While I know it's common for some places to push immunity IVs out that fast, that aggressive speed is a stark contrast to how my treatments are normally done. Anyways, just a day later, I developed a slight, localized deep tissue and nerve pain in my bicep of the same arm where I got the IV. As time went on, the pain started increasing immensely. It can't be a coincidence that this pain developed a day right after an administration done so differently than I'm used to. It's a common misconception that IV complications must show up instantly; chemical and venous irritation can show symptoms later as inflammation builds. I'm 99% certain that the cause of this was likely due to my body receiving the IV too fast along with not being given a saline chaser after the iv, which I had gotten with the previous iv company. The pain got to the point where I had to go to the ER, and I haven't been able to work for the past month. Of course, I don't blame them for every aspect of this, but I am more so shocked by their handling of the situation. When I reached out to their support team via email, they were very dismissive about my requests, didn't truly listen, and refused to take responsibility or offer even a simple refund to ensure client satisfaction. I mean I've had to pay extra out of pocket to deal with this arm issue. While most people will probably have a fine experience, just know that in case you don't, their support is unhelpful and often feels like you're talking to an ai bot. They should really look into asking deeper, more thorough questions before performing treatments. And in case, you're body is a bit sensitive and you've been in the rare but similar situation as mine where you have had gotten iv care differently in the past, I'd recommend doing your due diligence to make sure the iv you're getting is accordance with how you normally would get it. read more

I made an appointment to get hydration because I hadn't been feeling well for 4 days and then canceled on me because they couldn't find anyone (in a major city such as Oakland). What upset me even more is a tipping screen pops up when you're checking out. I have never heard of tipping for medical services, especially before they happen. read more

They accept your booking and payment but do not follow through on services. They couldn't find a nurse available for IV services. So now have to wait for a refund. Terrible platform, service model. Do not recommend! read more

My wife and I had extreme nausea and vomiting for 24 hours and we're extremely dehydrated and so we called the IV docs and they showed up and administered anti-nausea and an IV. The relief came almost instantly getting rid of the nausea and the headache that was caused by the extreme dehydration. I would highly recommend their service to anybody super friendly and nice and professional arrived within an hour of me calling them for service. Thank you for this great service, read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This would have been my first time with them but the appointment didn't happen. I was and still am in need of the IV therapy. However I booked the appointment, paid extra for what the lady said was a ASAP fee to get someone sooner. The call took place about 1:25 pm PST she said the soonest looked to be 5 pm but the fee would get someone sooner. Well after hanging up I got a text for the address, literally 15 mins. later I got a text they cancelled the appointment!!!! and the money taken out of my account!!! NO ONE EVEN TRIED TO REBOOK IT!!! So no service and my money on is gone out of my account !!! LEAVING ME TO HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER PLACE FOR SERVICES I JUST PAID FOR!!! I AM BEYOND UPSET. Your business model and practices are grotesque!!! read more

Worst possible experience. I think this place might be run with a scam doctor in Jersey. I was sick for 5 days following NAD treatment - I would warn anyone to not spend their money here or risk the same symptoms. Wish I checked reviews before purchasing. Will never return to this place. read more

Wish I would have checked reviews before I gave them CC info. They explicitly advertise guaranteed same day appointments. I booked the first one available. I then get a text asking to confirm my address. Then I keep getting a text that they're trying to find a nurse. 90 minutes later I get a text that they can't find anybody. I asked for a refund they answered by trying to get me to take an appointment the next day. I gave them my availability and they gave me a time with a " we'll keep you posted" in addition. I canceled. I better get my refund. Just a complete waste of my time read more

My fourth experience with them telling me last minute there is no nurse available. I've shared my frustration with the copy and didn't even get a response message back. read more

Is this some kind of scam? Stomach bug, booked an IV. Their website showed appointments in 15 minute intervals starting at 12:15pm. You could pay an extra $30 "Rush Fee" to be seen "ASAP", so I did that at checkout. After waiting 45 minutes, I get a text saying the next available time they can get me in is 5:30pm. What?? That's over FIVE HOURS after the soonest appointment on their website. I text them back asking to cancel and for a refund. Almost immediately, they respond that a slot conveniently "just opened up" at 1:15pm. Um, that's still an hour AFTER the soonest time on the website. I tell them to cancel. They offer me a refund on my rush fee--only AFTER I complain--but I insist on cancellation. At least that part seems to go easily. read more

They say they offer "same day" IV's to your home, could not be more wrong!!! Do not recommend to anyone I was in desperate need for an IV, they let me book the appointment and then asked if I could do tomorrow instead. Don't let people book a time that is not actually available especially when they are extremely ill looking for assistance. read more

Don't waste your time. I've promise and under deliver. In fact, it's hard to believe that any rating above a 1 star is most likely fake. I made 2 appointments, first time they couldn't find a nurse??? Then they scheduled me for the following day and the nurse never showed up. No call, no text, nothing. Super disappointed. read more

with a long history of health challenges I have always enjoy the health benefits of IV therapy. Recovering from painful surgeries and a long history of daily anabiotics and clinical test I find that IV therapy has help me feel and look better. The prices for having a private nurse come to your home are usually overpriced in my opinion, but sometimes necessary. Feeling very sick I decided to order services from this company again, but this time around my experience was very disappointing. No IV fluid was actually injected in the vein. A cold sensation all over your body is expected during IV therapy. And slowly my strong migraines, high body temperatures from throwing up, nausea and skin dehydration are quickly noticeably improved. But NOT this time‼ The nurse was done "injecting two bags of fluids" pretty fast, 35 mins max! I looked at the IV bags and they were covered so I couldn't see what was happening. Not sure if this was an honest technical mistake of the nurse. She seem like a nice person With no improvement I had friends take me to the emergency and there Two bags of IV fluid for almost 3 hours got me 70% better. read more

These guys save my holiday. COVID testing lines were 8 hours long... THE IV DOC showed up on time they were extremely professional and I receive my results in 20 minutes after I was tested at my own home. The nurse was in full PPE I felt very safe and so did my family I highly recommend the service to everyone. read more

I had stomach flu a few months ago and this was the early weeks of the pandemic. My doctors office wasn't open and they suggested IV to counter dehydration and constant vomiting from the stomach flu. IV doc was easy to set up and appointment and they actually had open slots. The nurse came on time and I healed really fast after my IV and anti nausea medication. Highly recommended for those battling these issues. read more

Misleading charging practices i was advised during my consultation that an antioxidant boost would be a $150 addition. On top of $289 for the treatment at gratuity, I was charged an additional $239. Amado Cuevas said too bad since I got the treatment when I asked they refund the overcharge. Once they take your credit card info, you are at their mercy for additional charges so be careful. My nurse was great but I will enjoy these services from a business with more ethical charging practices going forward. read more

Great service just hard to get a timely appointment when your sick and need quick fluid replacement to feel human again. But if you know your going to party hard this place is highly recommended to have setup for the following morning...a party host A+ move;-) read more

We used this for the first time on a vacation- twice. It was the best thing since sliced bread!! I felt like a million bucks afterwards. We did get the vitamin b12 shot added and that made a world of a difference. Although very pricey, it is definitely worth every penny. The nurses were very nice and the whole process was very professional. The nurse came to our hotel room and made us feel really relaxed through the whole appointment. My friends and I were all very pleased. Will use again, highly recommended !! read more

great customer service! i got a b12 shot and now I feel amazing

What a cool service! I wish I had known about this a couple years ago because it could have helped during a Migraine. I came down with a terrible cold a couple days ago. I was hoping for a quick cure. I still feel sick. But, I am feeling better. I'm sure the extra hydration helped me. For $200 a nurse came to my home and administered an IV to me in the comfort of my own room. The nurse that came to my home in Oakland was named Angela. She was very nice, friendly, professional, skilled, & caring. For $275 I could have had vitamins in the IV. I know this sounds so silly. But, I feel like for an extra $50 I would have totally opted for the vitamins. But, the extra $75 was too much of a jump in price. I opted for the simple hydration with electrolytes. This is a much more cost efficient way of getting an IV and way more comfortable & convenient than a trip to the hospital. read more

The best service ever. I called the IV DOC to book an appointment for an IV because I was not feeling well and I had the best attention. The nurse was super sweet and nice. read more

Thanks IV Doc! You guys are awesome. Your nurses are chill AF. They know what they are doing. Plus your service is a life saver. And it has definitely saved a trip to urgent care. I will highly recommend your service to everyone! read more

Absolutely horrible patient and customer care. Over promise and leave you hanging. I called to make an appointment in the late afternoon and was confirmed an appointment for the next day at 9 AM. I told them that if there are any providers available that afternoon or early evening that I would be more than happy to see them then. They told me no one was available but that my appointment for the following morning is still on and confirmed. I wake up the next morning when they call me to tell me that there is no nurse is available to come to my home. What??? And that the only availability is that next afternoon at 6:30 PM because that is the best time for nurses getting off of their shift. What??? So if that's the case why couldn't someone to see me the first afternoon I called?? For a company that's core business model is providing emergency help to those who are either suffering from food poisoning or other medical issues, it's incredibly disappointing and frustrating to get the runaround. You are in the business of healthcare. Just garbage service! read more

After having a blast on Halloween night, I woke up on Day of the Dead feeling like I was about to join the dead. After discovering just how helpful IVs can be in Vegas, I was very happy to see that this service was now available in San Francisco. Justin, the nurse practitioner who treated me, was excellent. It was great to have someone who was not only professional, but also fun and caring. The light and enjoyable conversation during the treatment significantly aided in distracting from the discomfort I was in while waiting for the fluids and various medicines to heal my hangover. My only complaint regarding the service is about the process of booking an appointment. There is an option to pay a $20 fee to receive an appointment ASAP, but the actual appointment time ended up only being 15 minutes sooner than the first available time. To note, I was booking the appointment around 8:30am, and the soonest available appointment was listed as 10:15am. After paying, I was informed that the appointment time was at 10:00am, making the fee pretty hefty for what I actually received. read more

The I.V Doc - Revival in the aftermath of Halloween. - IV Hydration Near Me

I don't know if it was a stomach bug or the sushi I had the night before, but on a Monday morning I literally couldn't keep anything in my stomach.. not even water. By 1:30p I was feeling so horrid (now dry heaving because I was so dehydrated), I booked an appointment and paid $20 to rush. It said the earliest regular appointment was at 3:30p, but I didn't want to wait the 2 hours. I got a text about 10 minutes later saying they were trying to find a nurse. Got a text right after that saying the earliest they could get to me was 5p. Super annoying, but whatever. I was thinking maybe with all that time I'd feel better and could cancel. Unfortunately I didn't feel better, so I have never been so happy to see a needle in my life. I got hooked up and started feeling better after the first bag of fluids and meds. The nurse went ahead an hung a second bag because I was so dehydrated. About an hour after we finished I was finally able to keep food and water down. I don't know if that would have been possible without them. I loved the service and would absolutely use them again if I'm sick or hungover, but I took away stars because of the scheduling issues. That "rush fee" was basically BS and when you're feeling that bad, it felt like a slap in the face. My nurse was great, and meds were even better! read more

The best! I can't tell you how much this helped! I've used them twice once to recover from a nasty migraine (it usually takes me days to fully recover) and again after a all too fun wedding. Both times I was treated by a nurse that was both professional, caring, and efficient. I will definitely use them again for migraine, hangovers, or just not feeling well. I was back to my normal self within an hour both times. WAY cheaper than a visit to the ER (if you just need fluids) and saved me an entire 2 days of not being able to go to work! read more
