She had a NO AC call into to me, but unfortunately, I have been taking care of my elderly/bedridden mother in Delaware who had a stroke and few months back. The situation made it that I was unable to assist my former client in a timely fashion. So I recommended D'Auria bc had seen them and our suppliers and knew they were a family business. My client called them, they came out and were very generous with their service call.... I don't know any of the people in their company, but the owner saw a situation where he could assist a very nice lady- single mother of 3 and in a sense PAID IT FORWARD... I was so glad to know that there are still integrity and generosity in our trade and in the world we all live in and share. Times are tough and this helped her beyond words.. THANK YOU Mr. D'Auria and sons... Sincerely GB

Danny D'Amore SAVED OUR LIVES! On Thursday, June 19th our…read morepower went completely out. Information from PECO, as usual, was absolutely minimal and useless. A friend and I went on a planned vacation to New England for four nights and did get some relief there. We returned home and our house in Abington was hotter than a sauna. I began calling A/C companies to see about it getting repaired. These were all good, honorable companies and to a man, they were recommending a complete replacement. Although I could have waited for a part for an old air conditioner to come and be installed, I eventually chose a new system. So, now, I got estimates for new systems. Danny D'Amore happened to be my last estimate. It was Friday and HOT. He would install it on Tuesday. Tuesday the 15th of July, just a few days after his estimate. So for almost a month of some of our HOTTEST weather, we, and our cat panted. Newly purchased box fans helped but 95 degrees is 95 degrees. Danny and his man installed the entire system and by 4 o'clock on that day we felt cool air. ABOUT DANNY D'AMORE: Fair priced for good equipment, an honest and complete line by line estimate, and non-stop work until they were finished. WOW! maybe it had been the heat we'd just been through but D'Amore HVAC just shined! We could not have asked for a better job by anyone. He also redid some flue piping that was oddly curved, no charge. This is a long review, but Danny D'Amore deserves it and more. I see he has a ton of 5 star reviews around the boards so he probably doesn't need this one. That said, contractors now a-days live and die by reviews we write. I wanted to give a good contractor his due. Good Job, Danny. Thank you. Philip and Kayla

So this review is coming from my heating panel, which was fixed by KLH months ago…read more Recently my air stopped working. I tried calling KLH again to come out and repair, but they never returned my phone calls, which I thought was weird. So, I ended up going with another company and he assessed that KLH had done the wiring wrong on my system when fixing the panel, causing the fan and the compressor not to work properly. This also caused my electric bill to be a lot higher than normal (I didn't pick up on this because I thought peco was just being peco; but I did note that the bill was higher). Anyway, so this other company was able to fix everything and get it back working again. I am so disappointed in the service of KLH, and the fact that this guy had screwed up my system and the way air was being pumped in. This could have done a lot more damage on my entire system if it had continued to run, costing me thousands of dollars.

I had recently purchased a duplex, and I didn't know the last time they had been cleaned. At the time I had no roof access, so I couldn't inspect the units myself. I am not a contractor/HVAC specialist, but I am handy. Richie came out, and was able to get onto my roof through a window, and I was thankful for that. Richie also inspected the units and checked my pressures and said everything looked fine. A month or so later the AC in my unit stopped working. Since Richie was willing to get onto my roof, I called him up again. He said I would need a whole new system. I admit, my system is old, but I said I didn't have the money to replace it (I had just remodeled my rental unit). Later in the winter I had a gas leak on the furnace in my rental apartment and I needed help with that. Richie had seen my AC and furnaces now 2 times and did not show up with the proper parts. He charged me and I finished the job myself with parts I ordered. Fast forward to yesterday, 10 months after my AC stopped working and I had a friend who is a contractor get me roof access so the AC units could be inspected. It turns out that whoever installed the units previously had installed a fusable disconnect with copper pipes instead of fuses and one had come loose. That was the issue. My AC unit was only getting 110v. A 30$ part fixed my AC unit after I had gone 10 months agonizing over what to do and having to buy window units because or a very obvious problem that Richie felt I would never be able to figure out. Don't go with this company, especially if you have an older system. They are only looking to upsell you, not fix problems. See picture below of the old disconnect and loose copper pipe.

Last year two large companies recommended that we replace a set of mini-splits because they were 14 years old and showed signs of decline. They recommended the most expensive, top rated replacement. I got an opinion from George. He said "Why get the Cadillac when the Toyota will do?" and gave us an estimate half the size for a system rated only one point lower by Consumer Reports. Then he came out and said we should see how it does for the rest of the summer, since it was still cooling. This week he came back to evaluate it again. I was ready to spring for a new system. It wouldn't have taken more than a word from him for me to sign the check. But he was hesitant. Gave me the low down on how big companies want to prematurely replace working systems. "They're all about the installs." He recommended I run it until it quits. I hope he stays in business for as long as I live in this house!
