I wouldn't go if I did not feel safe. In addition, there are several therapists available with different schedules so whatever time/date I ask for, there is always someone willing to accommodate me. Also, at Christmas, Carrie Teslof runs an awesome fundraiser, donating a portion of gift card sales to people undergoing cancer treatment. You can buy a gift card for yourself and/or someone else, and spread some love during the holidays.

The massage was good so I purchased a discounted package for two 90 minute massages. I was assured that booking would be much easier. Wrong. It took months to use those massages too. The woman told me that I had oily skin and the lotion I bought made my face break out. I've stayed away from the process ever since. She sends me home with a skincare routine that moisturizers my (actually dry) skin and shows that she is truly knowledgeable about her craft. She's also a gifted massage therapist who offers a relaxing experience in her space, targeting problem areas with appropriate pressure. I always leave Escape feeling soothed and refreshed, like a mini-vacation. Beyond the services, Shawnee is a genuine joy to be around.
