Wonderful business!!! Shala is a highly trained, highly knowledgeable massage and wellness…read moreprofessional, who you can tell is genuinely caring and passionate about what she does and helping others. I had no idea just how many services were offered here. I am starting with the $45 deal for 2 ionic foot detox baths and massage. This is such a good deal, 30 mins for foot detox bath and then a wonderful 30 minute foot and leg massage on the massage table. Go to her directly for this deal, not groupon! ;) I want to do the full hour full body massage here asap. She is knowledgeable about what ingredients she will use on you as well, you don't have to worry about toxic ingredients being used on you. She personally selects or even makes what she will use in the treatments. Shala makes her own tea mixtures, 100% soy non toxic candles, soaps, and more, and supports women where she is from, in Iran, who hand make beautiful items she sells there as well. These are made with love and include knitted sock slippers and other cozy things. Perfect place to buy gifts for holidays or birthdays. Things like black seed oil, essential oils, and CBD. You can get the highest quality from her, and at a great deal. I have never seen such a good deal on 100% organic, cold-pressed black seed oil as here. A larger bottle is just $20 from her. She has an esthetician who comes on site too, offering wonderful deals for things like facials and red light therapy etc. Great energy and services! I will be back again and again and always excited! You will love supporting this small business.

Since September, I've been struggling with significant mobility issues with no clear cause. After…read moremultiple visits to specialists, my primary care provider, and even two trips to the ER in one week, I remembered a treatment that had greatly improved my quality of life in the past - acupuncture. To my surprise, I found a wonderful clinic just eight minutes from home that also accepted my insurance! After reviewing the website, I realized their program offered everything I was looking for, and more. I had the option of a 30-minute in-person consultation or a 15-minute virtual one both on the same day. I chose to go in person because I wanted to not only learn about the services but also see the space for myself (plus, it was so close!). Shortly after booking, Cara-Michele, the practice owner, called to confirm my appointment and suggested I double-check my insurance coverage. That evening , I arrived a few minutes early, and I'm glad I did. The GPS directions were a little off. The building houses several other businesses, and is secure, requiring visitors to be buzzed in. As soon as I walked into the suite, Cara-Michele greeted me warmly, and I immediately felt comfortable and confident that I was in the right place. Her calm, compassionate demeanor and thoughtful questions helped her understand my needs, and she gave me the space to express my frustrations after so many prior appointments that left me without answers. Cara-Michele walked me through all the services offered, including nutrition and physical training, as well as showed me the equipment and products she uses. While she made no promises, I left that consultation feeling truly hopeful. I scheduled my first acupuncture treatment for the very next day, and the second the day after. After the first session, I felt about 50% better; by the second, I was nearly 90% improved. The name speaks for itself, STRENGTH & VITALITY WELLNESS CENTER! Although I've only had two treatments so far, I'm beginning to feel like myself again. I have no plans to stop anytime soon, and I'm hopeful that continuing this work will help me avoid a major surgery that was scheduled before the end of the year. P.S. the address for this location is 106 Old Court Rd. Ste#200 Pikesville, MD not 6302 Falls Rd.

I'd had one before at Vita Revive but wasn't as impressed because their door had an opening near the hinge that let cool air in so I didn't feel like I was getting the complete effect. The sauna at Holistic Solutions was state of the art, from the lighting, areas of concentration for the infrared treatment, the lighting, even down to the music (either your own or choose from a selection similar to what you'd expect to hear during a massage session). Cara-Michele was great and seems knowledgeable about her craft (which seems to be overall holistic wellness). She took the time to explain how the sauna works to me and after my session she walked me through all the different programs she offers. I liked that she had a lot of holistic supplements for purchase but I only discovered them from looking around on my own, she didn't try to push them on me like a used cars salesmen. Outside of supplements she also has nutrient powders and shakes but be advised they're not vegan. I have a primary place I already visit for acupuncture but I do plan to visit this place again to try out some of the other services offered.

I have been a client here for nearly two years and feel the massage therapists working here are…read moreoverall very skilled and professional. You can't go wrong with any of them and they're the real reason to visit this massage studio. The massage rooms and tables are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the float tanks are a really cool experience as well. There is a beautiful sauna area that's very Instagram worthy. All of the areas where you receive a service feel very serene, spa-like, and upscale. Meredith is a lovely person and makes really good use of aromatherapy and long holds or pauses in her massage that make you feel super relaxed and zen. She is certified in pregnancy massage and does a great job. Marcus has super strong hands, is ideal to see if you're looking for deep tissue massage, and makes good use of hot stones and warm towels. Ben is great as well, did some passive stretching along with the massage for tight areas. Karen seems to intuitively know the perfect amount of pressure to use and does the best head and face massage ever. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the entrance and waiting area you sit in prior to your massage/float doesn't really match the atmosphere of the other rooms. I think it's a little too kitsch and cluttered and reminds me of walking into a small store that feels very casual and doesn't have the ambiance of the massage rooms. Unfortunately not very "Instagram worthy". There's a lot of stuff for sale that isn't directly related to massage or even wellness, such as bohemian style clothing, silver jewelry, wind chimes, etc. The Speakeasy room has relatively uncomfortable seating (there are two firm, backless benches and just two chairs with a low back), more displays of non-massage related things for sale (such as non alcoholic refrigerated drinks, candies, books, artwork, etc.), large displays of business cards and fliers for other local businesses, and dark furniture which just makes the room feel small and cluttered. You sort of feel like you are waiting in a shop rather than being a member at an upscale massage and wellness studio. The self serve tea display is really, really nice but just gets lost in the clutter/decor/fliers. And my only other gripe is that the infrared sauna is preset to a really, really high temperature (maybe higher than spa saunas I have used elsewhere) and I was told it doesn't allow for adjustments. I was excited to use the sauna but couldn't tolerate it more than a few minutes at a time. During my sauna session I simply had to exit the sauna every few minutes to cool off a bit. I realize this is maybe because I am a sauna newbie but I do wish there was an "intro to sauna" setting for those like me to use. In summary: great services, great massage therapists, kitschy entryway/waiting area design which is absolutely not a dealbreaker

I then received an email that I would not be charged for the cancelled massage. It doesn't seem fair that I would be charged if I cancelled, but I received no discount for a future message after being inconvenienced. I agree that life happens but my problem is the unfairness of your cancellation policy. Here is the text of the email you sent to me : "You have not been charged for this cancellation." I DIDN'T CANCEL. And there is no mention of a forgiveness policy in the paperwork I signed should I have needed it.

They are located in the Yorkridge Shopping Center, along York Road and W Ridgely Road. I got a courtesy text message appointment reminder the day before my appointment. On the day of I was running late and called to let them know that I was on my way. Though I may be a bit late due to the traffic and weather. I was sooo glad my driver got me there just in time for my appointment. The front desk staff were very professional and polite. She showed me where the Relaxation/ Waiting Room Area was. I got myself some water and had a seat. My massage therapist Evan was absolutely spectacular! He's a very skillful massage therapist and his experience really shows. He had such an awesome massage routine. I've never had a massage therapist that has such a smooth flow! Everything was so well thought out and intentional. It's definitely my new "gold standard" for how a massage therapy session should be. I wish they all were like this! After my massage was done, it literally felt like I was floating on fluffy clouds... a m a z i n g :O All the tension that I felt in my neck, shoulders and back from earlier had literally melted away. I felt like a brand-new rubber band, bouncy and springy! THANK YOU EVAN! :) Afterwards, I asked about some good food places nearby to check out. And they gave me some great recommendations! It was a really positive experience overall, and I'd definitely recommend it :)

The business model and the availability of good therapists is a serious problem with this business…read more I was a member for 2 years because I needed continuous massage therapy for hip and lower back issues. The membership gives you a lower rate than a walkin appointment. For the membership they take $80 out of your account every month which goes towards a massage credit you can use at any time. The continual problem I had was finding a good, reliable therapist who was available on weekends. (I work full time so during the week hours is not an option because they aren't open late enough during the week.) The 4 therapists who worked well for me and my issues were too often booked, then 2 of them left ME and 1 changed her schedule to work only weekdays. That left me with one therapist who was very difficult to get an appointment with. Consequently, I had a stockpile of credits because I couldn't get in for the regular massages I needed, I was still being charged every month, and they told me I couldn't cancel my membership until I used the credits! I was able to put my membership on hold but they charged me $20 a month for that - and that money didn't earn me credits. Note, I was told by one person at ME that I could use any ME in the country but another told me I could only use the ones in Timonium and White Marsh. Either way, the one in Timonium is the one that's convenient. So, the model didn't work well for me and cost me a lot of aggravation, as well as money, without meeting my needs which was to have regular therapeutic massages to help address and prevent lower back pain. Massage Envy- this message is for you: (1) Be more consumer oriented and put your customers first; (2) Extend your business hours to weekday evenings; (3) Allow membership cancellations regardless of whether someone has unused credits; (4) if you're going to charge members to keep their membership open while people catch up on unused credits, then that additional fee should go towards credits as well (it's no cost to you to keep an account open so you don't need to be charging this anyway).
