We ended up going to see the apartments based on the reviews that we saw online. So glad that we did! We have been here for a little over a month at one of the town houses (which was advertised as the one bedroom apartment that had an office. In reality it's a townhouse with two rooms!) Price-wise, I get a town house here for what could only get me one of the smallest one-bedrooms elsewhere.
In a nut shell: A well kept, clean apartment, very, very spacious, and Great deal for the price. Ours has a fenced outside patio and trees around.
CONDITION OF THE APARTMENT: they are well maintained, they may not be new but they are very well kept. The management of the complex is very responsive and kind. Their maintenance team is outstanding thus the great state of the apartments. If you have any issues, the management team will have someone fix it the next day or even the same day.
I think the complex is family owned, the property manager who is very helpful and kind is married to the maintenance manager of the property.
Apartments are spacious, great closet space. You can even have your own little patio/garden.
NOISE LEVEL: None existent, I can only speak from my own experience at one of the town houses, When at home it's just me and my better half in our own little peaceful world. We love our home!
DEMOGRAPHICS/CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT: Mixed demographics, predominantly of Mexican descent but a fast increasing number of whites and others (no wonder with such a great well-kept place at such a great price). At first it made me wonder how we would fit in and if there would be something about the cultural environment that we may not like. Like I mentioned before, when at home, it is our own happy little world. Mostly families, no body bothers anybody, it's been great. The management team is native English-speaking.
NEIGHBORHOOD: Quick access to major highways, Marta, North Druid Hills. Everything you need is nearby, great supermarkets and stores. Some of the best food in town, great restaurants all along Buford hwy (Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican, you name it). read more
