Amazing little spot. Reservations are required and are hard to come by for a small spot only open a couple days a week but well worth it. Not the cheapest spot but amazing service and great laid back ambience, the food was probably the most creative and well conceived food of my entire 2 week trip. Each dish was better than the last and they had a menu that enables you to try a lot (they even offer half portions if you're dining alone). It was one of my favorite experiences in my entire trip--highly recommend

Really cool spot, interesting roof top dining concept that recently was awarded a Michelin star. The service in particular was accommodating and we left stuffed for two people with drinks for $100. I recommend ordering one of everything on the menu. The presentation was on point, as you would expect with any Michelin star meal. The value proposition is quite high here and I hate to blow this spot up more than Wikipedia already has. There was no dish that blew me away in particular but with that said, all of them were good to great except the dessert tasted too much like a raspberry jam. Some of the menu leans fishy and earthy, a little more than some western palates maybe used to. The view from the rooftop is interesting, you're effectively hanging out with the butterflies.

@esquinacomun was the meal that I was the most excited for and it didn't disappoint!! they are only opened on weekends and you get your reservations through Instagram. They were able to fit the 12 of us in at 4 o'clock. They send you the address the day before your reservation and it is this cute little space above a coffee shop. The food was so so so good. Elevated comfort food with Mexican flavors. It is a tasting menu but you get to pick the items you want on your menu. We ordered 6 of everything and after the 3rd course it was too much. We only needed 3 of each because the portions are good sizes and the food is rich. The food was so good that I 100% over ate. The favorites were the trout salad and the gordita and the beef dishes. But really I want the whole meal again. This experience is worth planning a trip around.

Temporal absolutely delivered on every level. They start you off with some complimentary bread with…read morea spread and a cilantro dipping oil- both amazing. We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Desserts truly knocked it out of the park. Bonus points for the cocktails--my hubby was a huge fan. Great food, great drinks, excellent service and relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend adding Temporal to your Mexico City dining list.

Ojo de Agua was hands down one of our favorite food finds in Mexico City. Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

Very fresh and affordable healthy options! We stopped in on a weekday afternoon after walking by…read moreearlier and seeing how packed it was. We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!
