I go in, and it is 20 DKK. Other times it is 25. Once it was 27. I also recall it once being in the 30's! I understand it being a few DKK off, but not by a 6-10 krone difference. Also, the hot chocolate is always different. Sometimes there is whipped cream. Sometimes there are marshmallows. Sometimes there is a little biscotti with it. They all taste good, but it still confuses me.

But I was nicely suprised. When I was ordering, I was asked which kind of milk I would like to have. Im always going for the 3,5%. Then I checked if they make coffee with single or double shots! Bingo-Their coffees are all made with double shots. ! It took them only a minute to prepare coffee. And.... it was just great! Really great. Even though there was a lot of milk, I could taste the nice snappy acidity (I don't like coffee with high acidity levels). Full fat milk gave the coffee a nice body and a little bit of sweetness. Even though I had an ice coffee, I still could get nice aroma from freshly ground beans. They definitely have a taste for good quality coffee beans. Speaking about good quality, they also sell my favourite and number one chocolate in my life ...VALHRONA. I love it so much, that I have even been in the factory in France few times. I was very happy with my purchase and if I feel like ice coffee, this place Kaffevaerk will be from now on the top of the list. Im taking one star off, because there is no bathroom. We decided to comeback for dessert and I am so glad we did. One of my friends warned me cheesecake in Europe (especially Germany) does not always taste like cheesecake in the USA, because many bakers use quark instead of cream cheese. Well, Copenhagen is awesome and this adorable cafe with amazing cheesecake that does taste like my favorite cheesecake in the USA, made my trip. I tried the chocolate genache cheesecake and my husband ordered the pecan carmel cheesecake. Our friends ordered the tiramisu cheesecake. All three were absolutely delicious. We also ordered lattes and prosecco. The prosecco paired extremely well with the chocolate genache cheesecake. I can't wait to comeback. Thanks again!! :-)

The wine on offer was limited and not that great (the kind that stains your teeth and leaves grainy residue at the bottom of the glass) and the tapas was pretty unoriginal. My only advice is: stick with what you know. When you ask for a suggestion of which of the two bottles of red the owner of the cafe suggests and his reply is that he doesn't know, and admits to knowing nothing about wine...you know you're in for something bad. I end with four stars: three for the tapas, five for the cheesecake & hygge. Pro-tip: from about April on, the front window gets direct afternoon sunlight and basically will result in you feeling like you're sitting in a sauna if you snag one of the two available tables there. Consider yourselves warned.
