Since we moved to Michigan at the beginning of 2019, Espresso Elevado has been on the top of our list of "Most Frequented Businesses." A few reasons why... -Absolutely delicious -I need coffee like I need to breathe -Friendly staff -Unique drinks (seasonal and year-round) -Absolutely delicious I was drawn in by the vanilla bean lavender latte originally and I stayed for... well, the vanilla bean lavender latte. And everything else, too. Everything I've tried has been wonderful- from the cappuccinos to the caramelos. I am a big fan of non-dairy alternatives and they have plenty of options for your milk substitutes here as well. Things to note if you're not familiar with the shop or the area: Small parking lot but there is street parking aplenty. On a weekend especially, be prepared to park a block or so away. Small inside, maybe a good place to read or study for some but.... It's almost never not packed. Typically loud from that as well. Peak times, be prepared for a wait. Especially if there is nice weather bringing people out to Downtown Plymouth. read more

Hot hot hot! Sorry I'm not talking about hot chocolate while aboard a train ride to find Santa. I'm talking about a latte that was served at a very high temperature which I would normally find brewed black coffee. Once you get past the extra foam(delivered, not requested) you'll find the flavor to be slightly sweet, nearly nutty and ever earthy. It was good, but oh my, way too hot. Hopefully you found a parking spot in the lot and didn't have to park somewhere on the street. Did you have to dodge any pedestrians because of the outdoor "patio" being along the side of the building with minimal walking area between the tables with chairs and the parking spots? A few tables outside and a few inside. Mostly high tops inside, a couple standard tables, and only two soft chairs. Even the "community table"(four top) was a high top. There were three baristas working and entertaining guests. They filled the air with a positive vibe and energy giving and leaving smiles on most people it seemed, myself included. It helped, along with the sounds of coffee brewing, milk steaming and other coffee making equipment, since there wasn't any over head or background music. Though the space was tight, it worked. You felt a part of the small shops energy and could really connect with everyone(if you pleased). Small shop and roaster, doing small shop things like focusing on the guests and community and using every square inch of the location. Doing it well and making smiles. Keep it up, but maybe cool it down? Signed, Empty Cup Reviews read more

Espresso Elevado - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Plymouth, Michigan

LOVE THIS PLACE! Ordered a pumpkin drink in the fall and it was delicious! Kept trying to recreate it at home or by ordering at other coffee shops with no luck . Nice staff. Minimal seating, but if you are lucky enough to grab a seat outside it makes for a pleasant experience. I definitely plan to go back. read more

We stopped to have a coffee and we absolutely adored all the brew options and flavors available. Not many places offer aeropress brew which is the best. We ended up just getting a plain latte and plain cappuccino and it was the first time I had cappuccino art. It was a thoughtful touch that was appreciated. The only reason I couldnt give it a 5 star was because of the cramped space. It is very cozy and that would be a welcoming place to sit down and enjoy a cup if they weren't so successful and the place wasn't so packed. There wasn't any place to sit down so we had to get it to go. I think this place deserves a larger space to accommodate everyone to enjoy their coffee as much as we did. read more

Best coffee shop around! They roast their own beans, make their own syrups, and have been voted #1 coffee shop in the area many times. Highly recommend trying the lavender vanilla latte or their seasonal coffee beverages, they are always unique and amazing! They are a small space but it keeps it quieter and good for working. They also have outdoor seating during warm weather. During COVID you can order online and pick up outside. read more

This is my normal stop anytime that I'm in Plymouth (and I make some trips to Plymouth just to get coffee). I've tried the Lavender Vanilla Latte - Amazing combination of stimulating coffee and calming lavender. The lavender comes through without being overpowering and lets the coffee speak well within the total drink. I might ask for just a touch more lavender if they can do it without making it sweeter. Curry & Honey Latte - This is my favorite drink on the menu thus far. I never expected it to work, but it really, really does. The sweet honey and curry pair perfectly with espresso and make an exotic and wonderful drink. I ask for double curry but normal honey in mine for a little extra kick. Lemongrass & Coconut - I'm going to have to give this another go because it just didn't click with me the one time that I tried it. The citrusy, herbal lemongrass clashed a bit with the coffee (to me) but with it receiving accolades, either my palate is off or I just wasn't in the headspace for it. Mocha Raspberry Cold Brew (I forget the name) - It tastes like chocolate milk with raspberry and is a wonderful treat. The coffee flavor is a bit more subdued, but that does nothing to harm the quality of the drink. I believe this is a seasonal drink so you may have to wait. Calabaza Pumpkin - Wow, a pumpkin spice latte without all the artifical nonsense. Good clean nostalgic flavor and a wonderful pumpkin color make this a great "drink in the shop with friends" drink. Their roasted beans are amazing and while I prefer some roasts over others, they are all really well done and so very fresh. The Summer Solstice blend is really good, if a bit nontraditional. You get a small sachet of lavender blossoms and dried lemon peel to add to the coffee when you brew it. The flavor it adds is amazing and is a nice way to get a little something extra in your coffee without adding calories. This is also a seasonal blend so make sure to ask in store and mark it on your calendars. If you're in the (tri-county) area, you should really give them a try and check out downtown Plymouth while you're at it. read more

I love this place so much! They have such original and creative flavors as well as your traditional go-to coffees. Let me say the lavender vanilla bean latte is a must try! Living downtown I would usually just go down to Starbucks, until I discovered this place just down the street. Everything here is such great quality and you can taste the difference. AirBnB only had A K-cup machine. Came here on a whim for an afternoon caffeine fix. Online order was pretty easy and the pickup shelf is something that some other establishments should use. I had to say I always come here when I'm in Plymouth and never in my mind I've had a bad experience I always have great experiences when I get my coffee here, So the barista's are really great here they are friendly well knowledgeable and do amazing latte art and I think for the best coffee in the area I think for a long time I've been coming here I never doubt in my mind you guys do great work keep it up, read more

I checked this place out on a whim and I am so glad I did. Very fast-working staff. Cozy little seating spaces inside. There isn't a lot of parking right in front, but thankfully downtown Plymouth has plenty of street parking available. I got the Lavender Vanilla Bean Latte and that alone will have me coming back as frequently as I can. read more

They are having their official grand opening this weekend, March 25-27. Stop in and try out a beverage and get a free biscotti or cookie plus get a dollar off a bag of beans to go. The products here are very tasty, smooth and not your usual Starbucks crap. I was a fan of the lemongrass latte myself, a bit quirky and great at perking me up on a dreary Michigan afternoon. James had a chocolate-y coffee concoction that was just right for him. It was fun to observe the show of coffee making done right. The service here is friendly and welcoming. The space is a bit small and I can see it getting way too crowded quickly but I am optimistic about their success in this little corner of Plymouth. read more

Refreshing change from all the crappy chain coffee restaurants. If this place ever opens a second location, downtown Farmington would be a good spot....hint...hint. I made a special trip out here just to give this place a try. As stated above, the chain coffee is really tiresome. This place is not. I had the lavender vanilla bean and it was perfect! Just enough sweetness but it was still coffee. The pretty little leaf design was some happy love for a rainy morning. I understand some of the other yelpers complaints but I think certain things need to be understood when running an independent business. Those of us that own small businesses have certain limitations that maybe corporations don't or average people don't understand. The seating is limited but they have utilized the space as best as possible. I was in during a slow period and got a comfy chair. Did it take a little longer than Starbucks does? Sure. Was it a hell of a lot better? Well yes it was! Was that a reason to down this place? Hell no! The patrons and baristas were chatty and friendly with each other. I was trying to be a fly on the wall but they had me giggling all the while. Like my wish above, I wish this place was closer to me. I always make time to seize the day so I will be back again soon! read more

If you are afraid of trying something different for fear of robust flavor but WANT to try something different, try the lavender vanilla latte. It's full of subtleties and complexities that wont scare you away, rather, it will make you smile-- for you just tried something new and different and didn't get overwhelmed! Also, the staff was nice. Like they cared about what they made and if it was up to your personal standards. There's no hipster feel to this place which is nice. read more

Espresso Elevado - Almond bar pastry and lavender vanilla bean latte. - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Plymouth, Michigan

It's no wonder Espresso Elevado receives the Best in Detroit coffee shop year after year. I like to think it's Plymouth's hidden gem. Their pour over is rich and smooth, the entire shop fragrant with their seasonal drinks... it's all worth the wait. They also sell beans in case you prefer to make yours at home. The shop is small, only a few tables indoors and a handful outside, and the wait can be a little longer than your chain store but the quality is unparalleled. They vet their growers to make sure they are providing an ethically sourced and delicious product. read more

One of the most impressive coffee shops / roasters that I have visited in the state of Michigan. I have only been to the shop twice but both times I received incredible service and hospitality. The owner Teresa is super friendly and is a master at her craft of roasting. She actually showed us the room where all the magic happens and we dorked out about coffee beans, origins, roasting techniques, etc. It was refreshing to be able to talk face-to-face with the owner and didn't seem too busy to hang out and chit-chat. Today our barista Mercedes really sealed the deal and was the reason I decided to write this review. She was super friendly and very patient when it came to answering questions about the coffee. Didn't seem annoyed or put-off in any way as some other baristas do in "cool-guy" coffee shops. Very impressed with how this shop operates and the warm and welcoming vibe we have experienced every time we have visited! read more

Elevado is a very, very rare animal. In fact, it is one-of-a-kind. In a day where most coffee shops predestine their coffee to staleness by allowing it to sit stagnant in an ugly silver percolator, Elevado provides a refreshing step toward superior craft coffee. This coffee, folks, is the best of the best. To any prospective visitor, I would recommend several "do-nots": 1. Do not visit Elevado expecting to receive a darker-than-hell ("burnt") French roast that will give you a kick in your rear. If you want coffee that will yield hair-growth, look elsewhere. The coffee has been roasted on-site to Specialty Coffee Association of America ("SCAA") standards, which means that it has not been burnt. It has been roasted with care. 2. Do not be shocked when you see the size of the cafe. Yes, it is small, and you might not be able to sit down to enjoy your coffee. In which case, stand up and enjoy it. 3. Do not expect to run in-and-out. Elevado isn't freaky fast. Every cup is made to order, even the brewed coffees. 4. Do not be afraid to try any of the seemingly oddly-flavored drinks. The curried honey, coconut lemongrass, and gardenia lattes are absolutely delicious. This goes for seasonal drinks, as well. The lemon drop cappuccino was the drink that got me hooked on Elevado. There are many other matters that I could write about, but when it comes down to it, I would say the following: Elevado is a necessary stop for any and all coffee drinkers. If you are in the neighborhood and have the time to stop in, do it. Your senses will thank you. read more

This is a very small coffee shop. If you don't sit at a cramped table while waiting for your coffee order, you'll inevitably get in people's way, no matter where you stand. The barista area is likewise cramped, impeding their efficiency and making coffees take a long time to get out. But the coffee's good, and they have their own unique syrups and types. Lavender comes to mind, and there were a few I'd like to come back to try. The parking lot is also cramped, but at least there's usually easy street parking directly across from the shop. Not my favorite, but I can see people being loyal to this place, especially locals within walking distance. read more

My all time fave! Coffee is excellent. Staff is always great and the owner is wonderful. She has gone above and beyond when putting together gift bags for me. One time I came in last minute and needed a gift bag for an event. She picked out all kinds of little treats and some beans and then added tissue paper And ribbon... totally went the extra mile. Oh and she did this all within 10 mins of closing. She totally saved the day! We love love walking here in the warmer months, and enjoy sitting outside with our coffee. Oh and they take good care of your fur babies. Always have treats on hand and water bowls. read more

This place has depth. Roasts coffee. A go-to place for when I lose power/internet at home and need to keep working. Fantastically excellent coffee and espresso drinks. I was visiting and managed to stumble across espresso elevado. The drinks are lovely, never too sweet, and have so much flavor! I really appreciated their online ordering system during COVID. You can customize your drink really easily. I felt save and I loved that everything was contactless. BE SURE TO ORDER ONLINE, since you can't order when you get there, which was my mistake (not sure if this has changed yet). I'm not a huge coffee drinker but I finally had something from here this week and it was literally the most delicious coffee I've ever had.
