Since we moved to Michigan at the beginning of 2019, Espresso Elevado has been on the top of our list of "Most Frequented Businesses." A few reasons why... -Absolutely delicious -I need coffee like I need to breathe -Friendly staff -Unique drinks (seasonal and year-round) -Absolutely delicious I was drawn in by the vanilla bean lavender latte originally and I stayed for... well, the vanilla bean lavender latte. And everything else, too. Everything I've tried has been wonderful- from the cappuccinos to the caramelos. I am a big fan of non-dairy alternatives and they have plenty of options for your milk substitutes here as well. Things to note if you're not familiar with the shop or the area: Small parking lot but there is street parking aplenty. On a weekend especially, be prepared to park a block or so away. Small inside, maybe a good place to read or study for some but.... It's almost never not packed. Typically loud from that as well. Peak times, be prepared for a wait. Hot hot hot! Sorry I'm not talking about hot chocolate while aboard a train ride to find Santa. I'm talking about a latte that was served at a very high temperature which I would normally find brewed black coffee. Once you get past the extra foam(delivered, not requested) you'll find the flavor to be slightly sweet, nearly nutty and ever earthy. It was good, but oh my, way too hot. Hopefully you found a parking spot in the lot and didn't have to park somewhere on the street. Did you have to dodge any pedestrians because of the outdoor "patio" being along the side of the building with minimal walking area between the tables with chairs and the parking spots? A few tables outside and a few inside. Mostly high tops inside, a couple standard tables, and only two soft chairs. Even the "community table"(four top) was a high top. There were three baristas working and entertaining guests. They filled the air with a positive vibe and energy giving and leaving smiles on most people it seemed, myself included. It helped, along with the sounds of coffee brewing, milk steaming and other coffee making equipment, since there wasn't any over head or background music. Though the space was tight, it worked. You felt a part of the small shops energy and could really connect with everyone(if you pleased). Small shop and roaster, doing small shop things like focusing on the guests and community and using every square inch of the location. Doing it well and making smiles. We stopped to have a coffee and we absolutely adored all the brew options and flavors available. Not many places offer aeropress brew which is the best. We ended up just getting a plain latte and plain cappuccino and it was the first time I had cappuccino art. It was a thoughtful touch that was appreciated. The only reason I couldnt give it a 5 star was because of the cramped space. It is very cozy and that would be a welcoming place to sit down and enjoy a cup if they weren't so successful and the place wasn't so packed. There wasn't any place to sit down so we had to get it to go. I think this place deserves a larger space to accommodate everyone to enjoy their coffee as much as we did. read more

Best coffee shop around! They roast their own beans, make their own syrups, and have been voted #1 coffee shop in the area many times. Highly recommend trying the lavender vanilla latte or their seasonal coffee beverages, they are always unique and amazing! They are a small space but it keeps it quieter and good for working. This is my normal stop anytime that I'm in Plymouth (and I make some trips to Plymouth just to get coffee). I've tried the Lavender Vanilla Latte - Amazing combination of stimulating coffee and calming lavender. The lavender comes through without being overpowering and lets the coffee speak well within the total drink. I might ask for just a touch more lavender if they can do it without making it sweeter. Curry & Honey Latte - This is my favorite drink on the menu thus far. I never expected it to work, but it really, really does. The sweet honey and curry pair perfectly with espresso and make an exotic and wonderful drink. I ask for double curry but normal honey in mine for a little extra kick. Lemongrass & Coconut - I'm going to have to give this another go because it just didn't click with me the one time that I tried it. The citrusy, herbal lemongrass clashed a bit with the coffee (to me) but with it receiving accolades, either my palate is off or I just wasn't in the headspace for it. Mocha Raspberry Cold Brew (I forget the name) - It tastes like chocolate milk with raspberry and is a wonderful treat. The coffee flavor is a bit more subdued, but that does nothing to harm the quality of the drink. I believe this is a seasonal drink so you may have to wait. Calabaza Pumpkin - Wow, a pumpkin spice latte without all the artifical nonsense. Good clean nostalgic flavor and a wonderful pumpkin color make this a great "drink in the shop with friends" drink. Their roasted beans are amazing and while I prefer some roasts over others, they are all really well done and so very fresh. The Summer Solstice blend is really good, if a bit nontraditional. You get a small sachet of lavender blossoms and dried lemon peel to add to the coffee when you brew it. The flavor it adds is amazing and is a nice way to get a little something extra in your coffee without adding calories. This is also a seasonal blend so make sure to ask in store and mark it on your calendars. If you're in the (tri-county) area, you should really give them a try and check out downtown Plymouth while you're at it. read more

AirBnB only had A K-cup machine. Came here on a whim for an afternoon caffeine fix. Online order was pretty easy and the pickup shelf is something that some other establishments should use. One of the most impressive coffee shops / roasters that I have visited in the state of Michigan. I have only been to the shop twice but both times I received incredible service and hospitality. The owner Teresa is super friendly and is a master at her craft of roasting. This is a very small coffee shop. If you don't sit at a cramped table while waiting for your coffee order, you'll inevitably get in people's way, no matter where you stand. The barista area is likewise cramped, impeding their efficiency and making coffees take a long time to get out. But the coffee's good, and they have their own unique syrups and types. Lavender comes to mind, and there were a few I'd like to come back to try. The parking lot is also cramped, but at least there's usually easy street parking directly across from the shop. My all time fave! Coffee is excellent. Staff is always great and the owner is wonderful. She has gone above and beyond when putting together gift bags for me. One time I came in last minute and needed a gift bag for an event. She picked out all kinds of little treats and some beans and then added tissue paper And ribbon... totally went the extra mile. The products here are very tasty, smooth and not your usual Starbucks crap. I was a fan of the lemongrass latte myself, a bit quirky and great at perking me up on a dreary Michigan afternoon. James had a chocolate-y coffee concoction that was just right for him. It was fun to observe the show of coffee making done right. The service here is friendly and welcoming. I made a special trip out here just to give this place a try. As stated above, the chain coffee is really tiresome. This place is not. I had the lavender vanilla bean and it was perfect! Just enough sweetness but it was still coffee. The pretty little leaf design was some happy love for a rainy morning. I understand some of the other yelpers complaints but I think certain things need to be understood when running an independent business. Those of us that own small businesses have certain limitations that maybe corporations don't or average people don't understand. The seating is limited but they have utilized the space as best as possible. I was in during a slow period and got a comfy chair. Did it take a little longer than Starbucks does? Sure. Was it a hell of a lot better? Well yes it was! Was that a reason to down this place? Hell no! The patrons and baristas were chatty and friendly with each other.
