Stopped by this coffee joint for the first time and had a great experience. I was in the mood for something non-coffee, and the staff recommended the black tea -- and it did not disappoint. Really smooth, flavorful, and refreshing. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you're not in the mood for coffee. The staff were super nice and helpful, which made the visit even better. My biggest issue with the Espresso Barn is the fact their menu board continues to lists old prices. For example the 16 oz Barn Specialties drink shows a price of $5.25 but they charge you $7.00 for that drink now. They have recently posted that they have to raise prices due to costs which I completely understand but that is a major jump in price especially since it's not listed as such on the menu. So beware about that hike in prices. I do want to say I've always loved their coffee so I will continue to support a local business, but I'm just baffled at the spike in prices. $7.00 for a 16oz coffee is absurd. According to ORS 618.236 (1)Whenever any commodity or service is sold, offered or exposed for sale, by weight, measure or count, the price shall not be misrepresented, nor shall the price be represented in any manner calculated or tending to mislead or deceive an actual or prospective purchaser. They may want to research this further so they don't have issues later. It may be considered fraud. FYI The menu is legally an offer, and when you place your order, it's a binding contract and they have to sell the food at that price. read more

Everything about this place tastes amazing, but that red card doesn't hit the spot. I'm trying to find the policy page or somewhere that explains the policy for this place. I want to know if the red card says specifically, "Buy 11 drinks, and the 12th is on us (excludes 32 oz)." I tried to use my filled card, and it worked to an extent. However, I didn't know that they had a policy in place where you still have to pay to get something for free. Today, on March 20th, 2023, at 5:45 PM, I got a 24 oz Oreo frappe, extra sweet with extra Oreo, and I was charged $2.50 because the red card supposedly takes $5 off a drink. I usually only buy specialty coffee drinks once or twice a month as a treat to myself. Far and away the best place to do so in the Grove is The Espresso Barn. I usually stop there as I'm heading back home from work, and they never disappoint. The thing I enjoy most, although I enjoy everything about it, is the creativity they have in designing drinks. I can always count on seeing something new on their specials, and a drink recipe I've never heard of. Drinks are always tasty and the baristas always do a fine job of blending the espresso flavors with the milk and syrups. Baristas are always cheerful, but not over the top like a regional drive thru chain with blue and white motif (although I do like them as well, just not as much). Overall, Espresso Barn is the best in the Grove, and after working in Cottage Grove for six months, it's the only place I go for el coffee now! read more

Pleasant staff. Very friendly and accommodating. What a fantastic list of drinks they have for people who like to whip up their selections. We have looked in the Cottage Grove area for English Toffee flavor (for my mom) and Espresso Barn has it. I cannot imagine them not having a flavor you want. Their specialty drinks are very good and they made mine less sweet on request. On my second trip through, I just wanted some iced-coffee was pleased to hear they had cold-brewed. It was good but not superior. So, if you want a Frappe or specialty drink like "Almost Heaven" this is the place to go. For what they offer, their costs are very good. Our two decadent drinks were almost the same as one drink at some certain chains. read more

Won't go back. Tried them twice, ordered a PLAIN LATTE. First time I drove away and when I got to work I discovered they'd given me a mocha instead, with so much whipped topping it was squirting out the hole in the lid - I CAN NOT DO SUGAR IN COFFEE!! That one got poured out. Second time they again put some kind of flavored syrup in my coffee... Again it got poured out. Sorry, will not give them a third shot at taking my money for something I can't even drink. Dutch Bros at least gets it right. read more
