(plural) It features the phrase, "I love you" in many different languages. On 5.11.26, it was still being repaired, so the English phrase was blocked from view. Maybe when we visit again, we'll be able to see it! Notes: we found free street parking a couple of blocks away. On the way to The Wall, we passed many shops and a carousel!

It is a small but meaningful landmark tucked inside Square Jehan Rictus, just steps from the Abbesses metro station. The installation is composed of deep blue tiles covering an entire wall with the phrase "I love you" written in more than 250 languages. Seeing the same message expressed in so many languages creates a simple but powerful visual statement about love and connection across cultures. The design is minimalist but thoughtful. The white handwritten text contrasts beautifully with the dark blue background, while small red fragments scattered across the wall symbolize pieces of a broken heart that humanity can reunite through love. Although the site itself is not large, it carries a quiet charm that fits perfectly with the artistic atmosphere of Montmartre. Visitors often stop to find their own language on the wall or take photos in front of the installation. Overall, the Wall of "I Love You" is a small but memorable stop in Paris. It may not take long to visit, but it captures a poetic and symbolic moment that reflects the romantic spirit often associated with the city.

This is exactly why it's worth a visit - add something a bit different to your Paris trip. Landscape design is outstanding - you will find an artificial lake, a grotto and waterfalls. One of the two bridges was designed by Gustave Eiffel. The park is hilly and you can enjoy amazing views of Paris from different points. One of the highest points is Temple de la Sibylle (50m above the lake). You can see Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre from here. This place is great for running - you can do flat circles around the lake or hilly runs everywhere, there are some 8 kilometers of roads and paths. One of the three restaurants, Rosa Bonheur, is really popular, it may take an hour of waiting to get in on weekends. You can find 5 areas with free Wi-Fi in the park. Post to yelp from here and don't forget to FUC (funny/useful/cool) this review :) P.S. There's a renovation going on in the park from 2013 till 2016, some areas may be closed (Temple de la Sibylle is closed at the time of writing).

Exploring the area, I found this gem of a Parc. I love exploring where the locals go for relaxation and where they eat. After a tasty meal nearby, my friend Mats flew in from London and we explored this lovely park. We mostly stayed under the tree lined paths because it was a hot day. For a park, we were here on a Wednesday around 2pm, lots of people looking like they are having a siesta or a break from work. Everyone seemed friendly, kept to themselves. The park is rich with different plants, trees and flowers. We hiked up to the highest point, from here you have an observation look out on the rooftops of Paris and a gorgeous view of Sacre Coeur. On the way to the top, you get to cross a bridge and below is a little lake. Some parts are rather steep, go at your own pace and bring a bottled water on a hot day and a plus if you wear a hat. Every turn you go into this park had something appealing. If you look at my images, there is also a cave. During raining season, the cave has a waterfall in it, it's very pretty. Plenty of grass room to have a picnic, take a nap or read a book. If you opt for something else, lots of park benches that faces the lake. A wonderful oasis in the heart of Paris. Everyone is welcome here, singles, couples, children, dogs...

I made a reservation to go bowling on a Saturday night at BFS two weeks in advance without any problem. This was both wonderful, and disconcerting at the same time. I had already called three bowling places around Paris who told me they were "complet" on Saturday night. So why was BFS so available for my group of 20? I took a walk by on Saturday afternoon to check out the place and saw it overrun by screaming kids and their underwhelmed parents (note: don't go bowling on a Saturday afternoon). The place is a little tricky to find being that it's located in an alley between two big apartment buildings, and the inside was a bit lackluster-- no music, depressing lighting, minimal decor. At this point, however, there was no looking back. Saturday night, nine out of the 20 of us showed up together, and the staff took care of us immediately. They told me that we'd have 3 lanes instead of 4 as originally planned, but that we'd all be next to each other, fair enough. They were running a little behind schedule which was no problem for us since we were still waiting for the other half of the group. Naturally, we headed over to the bar to warm up. Pints and cocktails here are around 6€, not too bad for Paris standards, but not the bowling alley prices I'd expected. Snacks include tartines, sandwichs au jambon et fromage, kind of airport French food. Although clearly overwhelmed with the amount of people turning up, the staff at BFS was helpful, and above all nice, as they ushered us through the process of dividing up the group in to lanes and getting us all shoes. Next thing, we were on the lanes, rolling strikes left and right, spilling beer and having a classic good ol' time bowling. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of atmosphere. There were no disco lights and the music coming from the speakers was actually a radio station. This is not the kind of place where you want to bowl sober with three of your best friends. This is the kind of place you want to come to when you are a group of twenty and you could care less about everything else around you. The prices are awesome, after two and a half hours of bowling (2 rounds) plus shoes, I paid only 14€. Plus beer, you're looking at a Saturday night under 40€, when was the last time that happened to you in Paris? Oh, did I mention this place is open until 4:30am? Eat, drink, bowl and be merry. When we showed up we found out that ride was cancelled since it didn't meet the minimum amount of reservation the day before. Paris is hardly coastal property, so tons of sand are hauled in around mid-July and retained until mid-August and those who are still in town milk the fun out of every cubic centimeter. Really, I've never seen so many "beach goers" enjoying so little space in my life. Parties, picnics, booze, pot, sex, romance, music, games, fun. From bridge to bridge for several bridges running, the walls of the Seine are lined with little sandy pockets where kids and adults, young and old, rejoice in their little slice of beach. The whole thing is free, officially open until around 11:30 p.m., and incredibly well-executed. Some "blocks" are sand only, others have food and drink, others have chairs, a playground, a petanque court (and petanque sets too, just ask). It was impossible to resist dipping my toe into the sandy "beach" of the Seine, strolling along the "coast", or kicking back in one of the chairs with a baguette and a drink. I've heard some other cities emulate this ritual but they've messed it up by charging admission. Being a huge "all beaches should be free of charge always" person I was immensely pleased to see just how right Paris got this one.
