She has altered practically every type of clothing for me; prom/evening dresses, costumes, jeans, shirts etc and I always go to her for repairs on damaged items, e.g zip replacements, torn fabric etc. She recently closed a split on an evening gown for me and it literally looks like it hasn't been touched by a seamstress and was made that way - exactly how it should be! I always recommend her to family and friends and everyone has been more than satisfied with her work.

Pretty bang on experience for my first time here…read more I nervously took along my new suit trousers to get let out, but they quickly put me at ease. When I looked uncertain about how much I needed them let out by, they got me to put them on and measured - and they were very much right. On top of that, when I asked for a (what I thought unreasonable) date for them to be ready, they not only said yes straight away, but the delivered. Been wearing the trousers for a few days now and they're working like a charm.

In case of bad weather she ordered matching silk and designed a charming bolero style jacket that enhanced the fine pleats around the midriff and was invaluable as it was the one weekend this summer in July that turned cold and wet! She was able to advise where to get shoes that were very elegant but also comfortable and has since offered the services of a colleague who is going to dye them. I took my friend wedding dress shopping here and it was the worst dress shopping experience I have…read moreever had; we were 10 minutes early and was told to leave and come back so we had to wait outside in the cold and rain before going back into the shop. Yes, there is a café across the road but we had just come from having coffee and didn't wish to go again. When we were eventually let back in to the shop, the guy who sits in the front window was not welcoming at all and didn't introduce himself. We were not offered a drink (even just water), the woman who worked there didn't introduce herself and didn't ask any questions about the wedding. She was extremely rude and dismissive of any comments or questions I made that in the end I just kept my mouth shut for fear of being scolded like a child. Shopping for a wedding dress with your girlfriend should be an exciting and fun experience but this was just anxiety provoking and in a city like London where wedding dress shops are a dime a dozen, good service is of the up most importance. A few of my other friends are getting married and I will certainly not be returning to Tantrums and Tiaras with them after the way we were treated.

A couple of years ago, I had a jacket 'tailor made' in Malaysia…read more Despite initial measurements and a 'fitting' session before the jacket was put together, almost everything was wrong when I went to collect the jacket. The jacket was too long at the hips, there was no curvature at the chest and waist and the inner lining was not properly stitched, excessive and hung out at the cuff. When I got to London, I showed the jacket to one of the suit shops on or near Saville Row to see if they could correct the jacket for me but I was referred to KS tailoring. The team at KS Tailoring with the tailor in the 'front of house' re-shaped the jacket to my contour, corrected all the defects and salvaged this jacket for me. The reason I looked for KS Tailoring again is that I have lost a few buttons on the sleeves and just wanted to make sure they are at the same locations in Piccadilly. I know they will do a good job and quicky.
