As someone who goes to hot yoga 3-5 times a week, the ESenEM flagstaff location was a huge score over the past week. I've taken a few classes but Steve's have been by far my favorite. miss your guys old location. new one just is not the same. the studio has a lot of light coming into it from outside, i personally did not enjoy the new studio or the class. it is inside of an apartment complex, the bathrooms and showers are not nice and no hot water (AT ALL) in showers. sad to see this use to be a great studio with great classes. very disappointed won't be going back. read more

Stayed in Flagstaff for a couple of nights and popped in for a class and loved it! Steve is a great instructor and the class was challenging and enjoyable. Felt great when I left. I highly recommend it and plan to go back next time I'm in Flag. Very clean as well. read more

When my husband told me he found an amazing new Yoga studio in Flagstaff (thanks to Yelp), I asked him the name and he said "S & M" - Of course, I thought he was joking... but after checking out the reviews and studio itself, and meeting the owner, Steve, I was just as excited as he was about this new addition to Flag (which I've since learned is a play on the words "Sweat & Movement," both of which you'll find when you take a class at this top notch studio). Prior to Esenem opening, I had pretty much given up on finding yoga classes in Flagstaff that compared to those I take back home in the Valley. I took my first class two days ago and was hooked! (First class is always free by the way!) I went back the next day and signed up for their 30 days for $30 offer. My second class was taught by Danielle, who is outstanding by the way! I love that this studio is clean, has a variety of classes from their signature ESenEM Hot 60 to an ESenEM Movement, which offers a bit more spontaneity with different sequences and poses, ESenEM Carve for those that want a bit more strength training, and Esenem 101 for beginners. They also offer a weekly community donation class to give back to local organizations. In addition to all of the above, there is a hydration station to refill your water bottles, clean washcloths, fabulous music to rock out your practice even more, showers and amenities in the restrooms should you want to clean-up after your sweaty practice, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Esenem will be opening a second location in Scottsdale soon, and if that location is as awesome as their Flagstaff flagship studio, I'll be adding that one into my rotation at home. Looking forward to continuing to practice at this one while in Flagstaff in the meantime... namaste! read more

I love hot yoga have been practicing for years. However, when 99% of the class is on their mats or have left the room due to the heat, it's time to open the door and let some cool air circulate so yogis can actually practice yoga! I would advise the teacher to read the room and provide what is obviously needed, some cool air. Many other yogis have voiced the same concern. Otherwise it's great. read more

Nice for a pop in yoga on a cold day. Same flow every time with all teachers. They have nice showers too. Warning Mind Body has the drops ins at $4 for specific times. It will charge you $16. When you show up and mention the 16 charge and not 4 they say its a Mind Body problem and won't honor the $4 you think the class cost is because that's what's listed. read more

I've been enjoying yoga for over a decade now and have been to studios all over the U.S. and also in other countries. I love ESenEM for it's unique approach and am so grateful it's located in beautiful Flagstaff. They provide a variety of options including the 60 min hot yoga which is a set sequence, allowing you to really focus on perfecting the different poses. It can get VERY hot though and if you're really looking to get your booty kicked, take Steve G's class. There are several other types of classes and they usually have something fun you can attend like an acro class here and there. Beware if you are visiting and not used to the altitude - it can be a bit hard to adjust to. Also, I love the community this studio has fostered - sometimes there will be a class where the proceeds that day go to a charitable organization. read more

I love this place! They provide mats, yogi toes, ice and water, cool towels, showers, and toiletries. The classes are hot (love that!) and the instructors are always upbeat and fun. This was my first time at ESenEM. I did Carve with Anna. What a pleasant and motivating instructor! She seamlessly moves you through positions and gives you options to increase the workout or to take it a little easy. She has some regulars there, so if you're a little nervous (like I was) you can hide in the back and watch them for correct positions. Anna brings humor and competency to the yoga experience. I was lucky enough to be able to sign up for the 30 days for $30 (aka unlimited yoga for a month). Which is an amazing price for such a nice yoga studio. I'm not much of a yogi (yet), but it's awesome to have instructors who are willing to take it slow with you and make sure I'm doing the moves correctly so I don't look like a fish out of water. I really love this location for yoga. The only downside is the cost to participate. Whenever they have a Groupon, I never hesitate to purchase classes because each class is so unique. There's of course the classic hot yoga, acro yoga, candlelight yoga, weights, and beginners classes. They have different classes from time to time and the instructors are incredibly friendly. I did my first class at Esenem recently & enjoyed it very much. I've been doing yoga for almost a decade, and hot yoga specifically for a couple years. I found the sequence to be spot on with traditional bikram flow, but with Esenem's own added flair. The vibe to the class was energetic and positive. And the class was packed, so they must be doing something right. The restrooms were equipped with showers, and other hygiene products which I think is a nice amenity. If you are looking for a quiet, focused, cerebral, meditative studio, this is not it. If you want to mix up the seriousness of your practice (which I think is important for regularly-practicing yogis), lighten up a bit, and get your sweat on with a good workout, then this is your spot. *Highly recommend* *Namasté* read more

It is a great workout worth going to, with lots of class options. I like it a lot. But seriously, do some instructors have to play music so loud that the pose directions can't be heard? Yoga is all about health, but screaming decibels are not healthy for hearing. Turn down the volume a little, please! read more
