I LOVE Mimi's Laser Alternatives!! I will recommend this place to anyone that asks!…read more Mimi is just a wonderful, kind, personable lady! She is down-right lovable! She is friendly and always professional, going the extra mile for all of her clients. She goes as far as to recommend the best option for you, which could end up saving you money compared to a more expensive treatment you thought you needed. That cuts in on her income, but she does it anyway because she's just an honest woman looking out for your best interests!! Not to mention, the amount of time she spends with you to explain it all and answer every single question you have! We need more people like her in this world! I did a little bit of digging before choosing to try out Mimi's, and this place is one of the cheapest permanent hair removal locations in the area. I had a 3 session package for underarm hair removal. She started with a lower intensity for safety reasons initially. I thought it had no effect, but the hairs fell out on their own after a few weeks, and I was surprised! The second and third sessions were with higher intensity, and you do feel a bit more during the treatment. The flashes of light hurt a tiny bit, but as most of us women know, it's like a mosquito bite compared to ripping out your hair with an epilator or wax strip! After 3 sessions, you really see the difference! Even after months of leaving it alone, I basically have no more hair growth in my armpits! There are a few stragglers that I could probably take care of with her touch-up appointments, but those stragglers are so fine and thin now, they're hardly noticeable. Every woman sick of shaving/waxing/epilating should visit Mimi!!!

I came in as part of a bridal party to get our hair and makeup done, and was so impressed! I've had…read moremy hair and makeup done for weddings and events a few times, and this might have been my favorite that it ever turned out. Lauren did my makeup and Lyndsay did my hair. Both did a great job communicating and making sure they did what I had envisioned, while also complementing my skin tone. Lauren even asked for a picture of the dress to make sure the makeup coordinated with the color. They were both super nice and made us feel comfortable. The salon also had a nice atmosphere, and plenty of pretty spots to use for pictures! And one of the stylists' dog was there! My only criticism would be that every other time I've had makeup done for a wedding, they've given tiny sample sizes of the makeup used so we could touch up throughout the day because weddings are such long days, especially for the bridal party. Most of my makeup did stay pretty well except for the lip gloss, but it would've been nice to touch it up and have peace of mind.

I recently got my make up done by Suzette for a wedding I was in and it was the worst make up…read moreservice I have had. For starters she was 15 minutes late for my appointment and seemed extremely unorganized. She seemed to be rushing and inattentive during my session. I still cannot believe I paid the amount I did to spend 15 minutes in a chair to get airbrushed a completely different color than my skin tone. When she asked what I would like to be done with my make up I had specified 3 things I did not want and she did them all!! Not to mention when I left my face was a completely different color than my neck, and the make up felt as though it was caked and layered on to my skin. I am no make up pro, but I do know when applying foundation or lip stick you need a primer applied beforehand. She applied lip stick without any primer or even chapstick and 10 minutes after I left, my lips were already peeling. I had also mentioned to her that I have sensitive eyes and if I get powder in them my contacts will burn and water for the remainder of the day. Clearly disregarding what I said, she hit my eye with the eyeshadow and bronzer brush 3 times, because she was busy talking to someone the entire time she did my make up, and as I had mentioned, my eyes were irritated for the rest of the night. After leaving 3 people had mentioned how bad my make up was and couldn't believe that I paid $50 for that job. I had to go to someone for help with fixing my make up after I left!!! I am so disappointed and highly advise going elsewhere for make up application!! Suzette is extremely unprofessional and not up to date with make up application.

As a natural red head I have quite literally invisible eyebrows. I'd like to think I have great…read moreshape, but the hairs are just bleach blonde naturally. I typically fill in my brows daily but decided to get them microbladed. Right as my appointment that I wanted like a month for was coming, I came down with covid and Katie was SO flexible and kind on rescheduling. She is clearly a boss so she books up pretty quickly so I had to wait another month for her services. She color matched my brows PERFECTLY and got the shape spot on. Like I said, I already had decent shape but she made them look so defined. I'm not going to lie the healing was quite annoying. You can't get them wet, sweat etc and with the Louisiana heat, it was very hard not to sweat. If I decide to do microblading again I am definitely going to get it done in the winter so I don't need to stress every time I go outside. The scary part about microblading is after the scabs fall off they lighten a lot & then darken back up. Katie eased my anxiety and they looked nice after the first session. I went back for my perfecting session 6 weeks later & they are just about healed now. The healing process was also a lot easier the second time around. I am happy with my results and would recommend Katie to anyone, especially redheads!

I liked her work, so I reached out on the website for an appointment. Response time was quick and Katie was really flexible in accommodating me (I contacted her for a next day appointment during probably the busiest time of year in New Orleans - Mardi Gras). She squeezed me in for the next day and gave me detailed address info so that I wouldn't have any problems finding the place. She even texted me the day of the appointment when an earlier appointment slot became available, which I happily took. When I got there, she got started with me right away (despite me interrupting her break because I was a little early, sorry Katie!). She was very gentle and I didn't experience any discomfort. When I finally was done and looked at my eyes, they weren't red or irritated, something I'd noticed in pics in reviews for other places. And, my lashes were BEAUTIFUL! I got a new full classic set. The whole process took about 2 hours and the lashes lasted for weeks. Katie did an amazing job, plus she's super sweet with awesome customer service. 100% recommend.

I am very gently with my extensions so imagine my frustration when they were already falling out the next day! So annoying! they didn't last at all! Sharron removed my old extensions and started from scratch. She talked me through the process, and allowed me to choose exactly what look I wanted. It's been three weeks and they still look perfect! I refuse to go to anyone else! After having my extensions done by Sharron, I think I'd feel naked without them. I don't have to apply heavy sticky mascara, and I've noticed I'm using less foundation and powder bc my eyes pop and brighten up my overall look alone, which in turn is helping w my complexion. I highly recommend visiting Sharron if you are even contemplating lashes, she's always available for consultations if you are on the fence!
