I tried to purchase the bag, employee asked me three times if that's all I'll purchase, which I responded three times yes, she rang me up, I then i asked nicely could I please have some white paper that they put inside when you complete your purchase, she told me it's only for customers, to which i was surprised it may not be my usual purchase there, but $6 for a gift bag is $6 more for inventory sold, i didn't know that's there was a certain limit I needed to spend to be considered a customer, I left without the bag, I won't be coming back, I ended spending half of what I would spend there, gift bag and paper with way better customer service somewhere else. If you get bothered for a customer only buying a gift bag then don't have them on display as an option to purchase. Negative good noodle stars to you mean lady at the register.

Put a negative sign in front of that 1 star. Prior to going in I had spoken with the supposingly Manager (I won't put her name on blast due to an ongoing issue) about an hour after the store opened and informed her of my issue. She was to contact me right back after doing her research. A little after 4 I called back and was told she had left. Now in diva mode I stated to the woman on the phone of my concern and disappointment than informed her I was seconds way from the store. Arriving I was provided every excuse possible. Waiting in store for this so called Manager to call back on what to do that the key-holder couldn't I totally went into to lock down diva-wood and made a legal contact call for results immediately and that's what this diva got. Left with my new undamaged fragrance....CLUCK and CLUCK!!! SIDEBAR DISCLAIMER: This was the first time that I made a purchase from Perfumania Inc or any place like this other than a major department store retailer. After being referred based upon the department stores discontinuing carrying one of Poppies favorites that he was out of and I wanted to suprise him with for Father's Day. Based upon the scents smelling so orginial and cost I will probably do business with them again. "A few bad apples don't spoil the bunch"...

You're treated as a thief if you browse row by row. They are too lazy to watch the front because they have stuff to do in the back. I'm appalled by the high ratings. They prey on indecisive ill-informed customers. Such a shame because they do have a great selection. You're better off finding scents at TJ Maxx or Ulta. They admitted that they charge higher than retail. Edit: Ma'am it's called window shopping to pass time. I am not obligated to buy anything from y'all. Very insincere and unprofessional from the start, and to not offer an apology! Wow! That's what I'm saying too! Learn from these women and what behavior they model to the public. That's how they will treat you as a customer. You deserve your well earned 1 rating. You didn't even have to go out of your way to be rude. You just are! Mashalla. Pray for Israel. Clearly this review upset you, as it should! If you can't be patient to customers, if they can't ask questions, that says more about you as a short tempered owner who doesn't want to learn nor improve. I've compared prices online and your prices are outrageous. $120 for Armani Code? CVS sells Armani Code 2.5 oz for $105.99! Either price match or lose business. Too many competitors in the perfume business. Next thing they want is for a Karen in a burqa to accuse them of acting weird. No ma'am. You are weird.

The store was a small one compared to other stores. Something about the way the store is setup was not conducive to a great shopping experience. People running into people, weaving in and out and going all the way around just to get a product that was sitting just "right there". The checkout process was no smoother. There was a "rope" in the middle of an isle leading to cashier with a sign that reads "line starts here" or something descriptive. Ok which side do you line up at?!? Just follow the flow if there is one. So you have people lined up in one half of the small isle and other customers shopping as passing through, if at all possible, on the other not so clear side. When it's your turn you are standing in the middle of the isles while other customers are bumping trying to get past. Sigh. Once you get ready to leave you ah e to do the same bumping, excuse me, sorry, weaving in and out, going down another nondirect path just to get out of the store! That was a work-out!!! Never again. I'll go to another Sephora location, just not one in a JCP store as those do not carry all product the big stores carry. The staff was gracious, helpful and plentiful. This was a huge plus to the store. I was greeting upon entering the store and most of the staff had a smile.

No support, no hello. I find myself walking around in circles just to find by far the most unenthusiastic staff members as if we're interrupting them doing their nails. After being ignored for 30 minutes, knowing exactly what I needed I finally just went to the register to see if I could get some help with MUF. I knew what I needed, I checked online and knew it was there, but it wasn't on the shelf. The rudest young man "like yeah what do you want?" (Mind you I worked at MAC for 25 years forgive me if I have higher expectations); nonetheless "nope we don't have it" no offer of "we can order it for you, or let me check in the back"! One of my closest friends (I remember when the makeup arena we're all friends) managed there for a decade. The older staff always knew you. These young kids.... I didn't even bother asking for a manager given I figured it'd be another unhappy 20 something. They literally seem like they hate their job and now they don't wear anything or makeup that distinguishes them so they'd rather blend in than work. Horrible. I was already there and had already checked. He just wasn't going to make the effort. Now I'll have to order it, which would've been free if they had offered. What is happening? Ugh

We are regular customers at this Ulta and have always trusted it for our makeup needs. This visit…read moreon my daughter's PROM DAY was almost a disaster, thanks entirely to the MUA named Reyna. From the start, the application was not what we asked for. When we expressed our concerns about the eye shadow, Reyna flatly dismissed us and insisted it looked fine. She made zero effort to listen to the customer. Due to a language barrier, we had to have someone translate our concerns multiple times. Rather than appreciating the effort to communicate clearly, she became visibly angry. That alone was unacceptable. We asked another MUA to step in and correct the eye shadow. Instead of graciously stepping back, Reyna retaliated by deliberately removing the eye shadow and all of the makeup she had applied. My daughter was in tears. She was distraught, stressed about being behind schedule for one of the most important days of her teenage life and it was entirely unnecessary. The situation did not have to escalate this way. It was pure pettiness. But it didn't stop there. Reyna then proceeded to argue loudly with the manager for a full 10 minutes while the manager was simply trying to make things right for us. She also argued with her coworker during the application itself. The entire experience was chaotic, hostile, and deeply unprofessional. My daughter later noted she had used some very unsettling, unsanitary techniques as well. She sneezed into her hand and failed to wash them before continue with her application and she used the gloss and mascara straight from the tube. The manager was kind and offered a 10% discount, which we appreciated but no discount undoes the emotional damage and time we lost on prom day. Reyna should not be working with clients. Period. This level of conduct, dismissiveness, retaliation, arguing with management and coworkers in front of customers has no place in any service environment, let alone one where people come to feel special and confident. The only reason I still gave three stars is because Kacelyn saved the day. She reapplied the makeup flawlessly and talked with my daughter during the process to calm her down and lift her spirits. That young woman is professional and extremely talented.

But that's an employee issue and I'll leave it at that as I came across another employee who went above and beyond to help another customer but kinda brushed me off. This Ulta is set up nice and has a nice selection. I will say that their perfume was a sort of a let down - the employee that I spoke about pulled out a perfume and created a tester for another customer, but when I asked about a scent I got "I'm not familiar with that scent" as he walked away. End of conversation. The juvias products were in abundance and a nice variety of them. I actually commended the employee that was restocking product as the store I frequent has little product to which I asked if it was being discontinued and I had to have the item shipped to me as they didn't have the product in the store. Besides the issues with employees attitudes, everything else went well. However I likely will go to another location where I feel like my presence, as well as my money, is welcomed.

One area that remains the same is the area surrounding the movie theater. I remember my first theater experience here watching the motion picture Aladdin. I'm glad the mall remains open and has kept some of its original charm. Sadly, many malls are having a hard time staying afloat. During my two hour visit, I experienced quite a bit. First I'll start with the least enjoyable parts. When I first walked in, I immediately noticed a woman at the lower-level sports bar and grill wearing a thong and a shirt. Not a short skirt, like her coworker only a thong. It's definitely not what I expected to see after returning for the first time in five years. She quickly moved out of view when she noticed my reaction, but it still left a strong first impression. As I headed up the escalator, I was approached by staff from La Perla handing out menus and trying to guide me into their restaurant. The same thing happened as I walked through the food court. I wouldn't call it a bad experience, but it did feel a bit overwhelming as my first encounter upon entering the upper-level of the mall. From my experience working in a mall, I've noticed food court staff often offer samples, which I think is a more inviting way to attract customers. A small taste can go a long way, when a restaurant wants to acquire new customers and grow their clientele. I read reviews regarding the food court establishments beforehand, and many mentioned rude service, overpriced and subpar food. It would have been nice to try good authentic Mexican cuisine rather than the usual Tex-Mex I tend to eat. I did stop by Mr. Churro, where I enjoyed a cup of ice cream fully loaded with toppings of my choice. Next, while shopping at Burlington and Ross, I noticed loss prevention stationed at the entrances. Having my bag checked and showing my receipt felt a bit uncomfortable, but I understand it's become a common practice to prevent stealing. Another unexpected moment happened while I was shopping. A young toddler suddenly balled up his fist hitting my shopping bag like it was a punching bag. His mother told him to stop but didn't apologize. Later, I saw him hitting his mother repeatedly while she did nothing to correct the behavior, which was uncomfortable to witness. On a more positive note, I really enjoyed the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the plaza. The beautiful quinceañera dresses, crowns, bouquets, and accessories are stunning. The cowboy boots, hats, and western attire also stood out to me. There's a center stage for performances, a creatively designed Dino plaza, and several eye catching displays that make for great photo opportunities. Overall, I had a great time and would come back on a weekday when it's less crowded to enjoy the many food court options and shops.

However, I can review this from the viewpoint of a relatively stylish guy only shopping the mens section. First, the shoes. It always makes me laugh to look at the shoes and see "80% off" and the shoes are still $70. However, you can certainly find shoes worth paying that much for, and still leaving feeling like you got a great deal. The mens section, proper, does a great job of keeping the sizes together. Where the womens section has the organization of a Ross, the mens is more like Macy's or JCP. Likely due to simply carrying less product. In addition to marking sizes, they group brands together. They have the same great brands that they have in the regular Nordstrom stores, but at greater savings. I really like Penguin, Calvin Klein and a few others. They have all of the brands I like. I wear a shirt size on the smaller side that is usually difficult to locate. They always have my size, and offer many types of fits, including slim and athletic. I really appreciate that. The ties and accessories are hard to beat in quality and price. They have a casual clothing shopping side too, which includes brands like True Religion and Lucky Brand. However, with jeans I have noticed that they are odd sizes like 33x29 and 38x31. Still, at a drastically reduced price. I would suggest simply getting there and leisurely browsing, allowing time. You can find your size pretty quickly in the mens section. Also, sign up for Nordstrom rewards - it's free and you can get some grrat deals via text.
