At PBI, they have an escape lounge for AMEX platinum members. And since I am one, I paid a visit to chill before my flight to a conference. I found the experience exquisite as it was very calming sitting in one of their comfortable leather seats looking out the window without feeling people crowded on top of my person. They usually have a spread out for picking on small plates. I was there around breakfast time so I enjoyed mini cinnamon sugar waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties as part of the options they had. I enjoyed those and the hot coffee. They have a nice bar in the back that also includes a small ice cream fridge for ice cream bars and treats. It's very chill and relaxing and a good way to kill the time before catching the flight. Customer Service was great although I do wish when I entered they had explained where everything was since it was my first time. When I asked, they were very good about explaining it. This was the worst Escape Lounge I've seen... it was rundown, the food was scarce and what was there didn't look very fresh, nor appealing, it was packed too. It's very small and has a very awkward configuration, you have to walk thru the food and seating areas to get from the entrance to the bar. The staff at check in was friendly and helpful. The bar staff was also helpful, so the staffing being nice is a plus. At least I was able to find a place to sit and get some work done before my flight. But I wish these clubs would start offering business areas, business travelers rely on places like this to work, whereas leisure travelers are just looking for a comfy place to chill before their flight. read more

We found the lounge on google a couples days before our trip. We were looking for a comfortable place to relax & grab a small bite/drinks while we waited for our afternoon flight. We got in around 11am and were able to gain access as a walk-up. The young lady at the desk (Tahary, i believe was her name) assisted us & also helped me to apply my nurse discount which saved us some unexpected money! Food, drinks & service were good. REVIEW - ESCAPE LOUNGE - WEST PALM BEACH AIRPORT Date of visit: 4.9.25 Very basic lounge. Small size. The smallest I have seen yet for an Escape Lounge. It was almost empty. There weren't that many seats. I can imagine this lounge at full capacity. hmm. Food was just OK, not many options. For breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt and fruits and Granola to go with it. One type of muffin - cinnamon which was very sweet, cereal, milk, espresso machine for your coffee, water, unsweetened ice tea. There was a bar, which I didn't use as I don't drink alcoholic beverages, and where you get your orange juice. Bathrooms for your use and charging outlets. This lounge requires the actual American Express Platinum card, and does not accept priority pass, according to the gentleman sitting behind the desk. He said they recently changed their admission requirements. Other Escape Lounges may soon follow. Something important to keep in mind: lounge is located pre-security in Concourse B. If you are flying JetBlue, like I was, they leave from Concourse C. You would need to go first to Concourse B, go thru security, use the lounge, then exit the lounge, walk like 5 or 10 minutes to Concourse C, go thru security again and get to your gate. It can be done if you take an early flight and arrive at the airport at least 2 hours early. I did the whole walk to both concourses in like 45 minutes. Including 20 minutes at the lounge for a quick breakfast. Security agent stated that it does get busy quickly during the day, and you are taking your chances anytime you have to go thru security twice. However, it is doable, as I mentioned. I gave it 3* as it was very clean, and staff very friendly from start to finish. But I would give it a lower rating for size, location and food options. I used the Escape lounge this morning. I was there more than an hour. It is a fine alternative to full-on Amex Centurion venues. There are other lounges -- the one at STL in particular -- that are terrible, hardly worth the privacy relative to sitting at the gate. The Escape lounge was spacious, clean, comfortable. The staff were courteous. I had eaten already at the motel. I had second breakfast, my favorite meal. It consisted of a waffle with the maple sweetener (you can request it plain; I heard another patron do that) and a sausage patty. I drank a tea and a glass of water (which you have to request from the bar). They start serving alcohol at 7am. Three guys ordered hard liquor. I am not one to judge, and I have imbibed early from time to time, such as a Bloody Mary. I am reporting to compliment the servers who poured the drinks, and they helped one guy who had been seated for some time, waiting, five minutes prior to the scheduled start. He seemed to have sniffles. I believe he made a hot toddy -- I am just old enough to remember parents giving kids a thimble worth of whiskey for sleep or using it on gums for teething pain, practices which have fallen out of favor. They also had an advertisement for something I'd try. It was liquor infused ice cream, almost 5% ABV. There is a tiny issue. They have a puacity of power outlets. I got one. I saw another guy searching. The bar has USB ports underneath. Note if you are using the Amex app, you cannot rely on the location detection to identify the correct lounge. It gave me FLL instead of PBI. The receptionist was familiar with this tendency. You just cancel the QR code and try again. read more

Cute little lounge at Palm Beach International Airport. The free food they serve is pretty decent and the seating is comfortable. However, it is way too small for the volume of people using the space. In my recent November and December 2023 travels it has been densely packed. Finding a seat for one person is tough; if you are a party of two or three you will be hard-pressed to find seats together. All that being said, it is infinitely better than sitting in the terminal and the uncomfortable seating provided out there. You must be an AMEX Platinum card carrier or active duty military to gain access to this lounge. read more

American Express should remove themselves from this location. I was excited that there was finally a lounge at PBI. I entered, all the seats were taken, except at the bar. I took a seat and waited for service. The bartender told me that she would get right to me and disappeared. A few minutes later a new bartender arrived and serviced everyone but me. I waited patiently and was finally able to order a drink and food. While there I asked if they could remove the previous patron's waste, including their used mask. The bartender didn't clean up anything. A few minutes later another person, which I believe was the manager came over and asked if I needed anything. I asked for a refill on my drink. She gave me a new drink, but it was only half full. Fine whatever, I asked again for the waste from the previous customer to be removed. It has been sitting there for at least 30 minutes at this point They took everything but the mask. Finally, my food, and I am using good lightly came out. It was a tiny piece of turkey on a small slice of a baguette. It was gross. The tomato soup was good, but it was maybe 5 to 6 spoonfuls before it was gone. I finally got to move to a table after someone left. I sat there with their garbage for more than an hour, even after asking for it to be cleaned up. If there had been a garbage can, I would have thrown it away myself. Getting a drink or food was near impossible. Even when waving and making eye contact with staff, they would do their best to ignore you. When leaving, I brought my waste to the bar to be discarded. The food portions are ridiculous and not good. They ran out of multiple food items while I was there. Service was awful, the food was not good (besides the soup which you need 3 to 4 orders of to get a small cup of soup total). I didn't get to see the bathrooms because there was a line each time I went to the restroom. read more

This place is right pass TSA to the right and they've now partnered with AMEX so for all you Platinum card holders, here's a place to visit. The check in process is really easy with them scanning your credit card and boarding pass. You then find a seat and the host/hostess brings you the menu and you can eat/drink your hearts desire. I didn't want to drink on this trip and ended up getting pineapple juice with a soy ginger salmon with jasmine rice. The portions are small but it looks cute and you can order as many as you want. read more

Surprising to find an Escape Lounge at an airport this size but definitely most welcome. Comfortable seats with a view of the tarmac and planes taking off. Around 8 seats at the bar where I chose to sit. Bartender was friendly and service was prompt and efficient. Food selection was mostly finger food, snacks, and a couple of mains. Enjoyed the curry chicken, shrimp appetizer, hummus, and broccoli cheddar soup with a couple of glasses of complimentary Sauvignon Blanc. Conveniently located right next to the United B gates and would definitely revisit this lounge next time I'm at the West Palm Beach Airport. read more

Nice lounge. Nice bathroom and seating area, as you might expect. Whip out that AMEX platinum card and get in for free or pony up the $45 (it _is_ open to the public). The service however, while gracious, is anemic at best. You basically have to hit someone over the head to get a drink or to have someone take your food order. Because of their opaque pricing model (some food and drink are included with admission?) they appear reluctant to offer you things, as there appears to be no incremental value to them in doing so. Most people walk up to the bar to try and get someone's attention. If you are an attractive lady and sit at the bar you might get better service. Not an option for many of us. read more

I came early (~6 AM) on a Monday before there were a lot of people in the lounge. The space is trendy although I can see it becoming crowded depending on the time of the day. Because of COVID protocol, they adopted a "restaurant-style" model where a server will come and take your food and beverage order. Wow!! 7 hours at the airport with a little one and this place made all the difference in the world. I recently visited another escape lounge and this one is leaps and bounds ahead of them. The staff is amazing!!! Christy, Rosey, Sharon and everyone else that I cannot remember names of were the best. They really took care of us and our littlest one from lots of snacks, tours, oranges and just plain having fun! This staff is what makes this place great... I will definitely be back. Escape is a welcome addition to PBI and a substantial value for Amex cardholders. While PBI is a smaller airport, the waiting areas can be chaotic and there isn't a huge choice in food. Escape makes the airport experience infinitely more pleasant (and I hope they open more locations!) Escape provides comfortable seating and an awesome selection of rotating small plates served buffet-style. I've been for breakfast where the selection included French toast, pretzel bread bits, a delicious smoothie, Thai turkey meatballs, fruit cups, and baked egg bites. Lunch highlights included a delicious tomato basil soup, Caesar salad, and salmon over rice (among other things). There's a full bar too. I can't wait to come back! read more

We often travel from Philly to other destinations. Sadly, we don't find many Centurion lounges. However, this one was a hidden gem. Totally look for it!!! It's right before you go into the Terminal B (American Airlines). Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Considering that we came in 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close, they treated us like there was no rush. The Staff - George, Karen, Omar, Javan were just lovely. This is the one and only airline lounge at PBI that I'm aware of. Unfortunately it leaves a lot to be desired. It is often understaffed. They clearly request the patron to order from the seats rather than walking up to the bar. This only works if they are adequately staffed to take orders. The food options are limited although expected. Big disappointment otherwise. Why open up a space like this without adequate staffing or service. I can't imagine anyone would feel equitable after paying their $40 or so entrance fee. Entrance is complementary for AMEX centurion members but most would prefer a more dependable service at the cash bar or ala carte food options for purchase. read more

I have been there in the morning and afternoon. Service is great and they come by frequently to ask if you need anything else. The servings are small but the food is very good..so is the wine.
