The bathrooms were clean and the concierge desk had plenty of kits available upon request: dental, sewing, shaving, etc. Very helpful instead of trying to dig through your carry on for necessities. The food buffet was very nice and had a good variety of pastries, salads, sandwiches, yogurts, fruit, pizzas, cold cuts, and Spanish dishes. They also had a bunch of flavored waters, fruit juices, cappuccino machine, bottled waters, beer, wine and more. A lot of the food was very good and this was the perfect recharge spot before getting on my flight. The lounge had lots of seating and great views of the duty free shopping area below us.

The wait was about 15-20 minutes, so we checked in, walked around outside for a bit, then came back and were finally able to get in. Once inside, there was barely any seating available. We eventually found a spot, but the overall experience didn't really improve from there. The food was not good at all, and the selection was extremely limited. They were out of plates, out of utensils, and even the beverages coming out of the refrigerator weren't cold. Overall, it just didn't feel worth the wait to get into the lounge. We basically used it to kill some time and grab some below-average food before the flight. Definitely expected a much better experience.

First time flying in/out of Stansted…read more I was pleasantly surprised. We took the train since we were departing and did not want to chance being late. (When we arrived we saved money and rode on the Flibbus which took about 1.5 hours to get to London but we were on an early flight so we did not feel like we wasted any time.) Once we got off the train we just followed the crowds to the entrance. Again, I am glad that we had time. We did not have any bags to check so we went straight through to security. The line was long but the staff were outstanding and directed people to the proper lanes which made it go quickly. Once through security there are more than enough shops, restaurants, seats and restrooms. Duty Free was great since I wanted Cartwright & Butler cookies. I was also able to grab some Fortnum & Mason treats, Whittard teas. TIP-if you shopped to much in London just buy a 10p bag at Duty Free. All airlines allow one bag from the airport and these do not count as your carry on. It does not have to be the DF bag and I did notice that the WHSmith and JD Sport bags looked to have held more. There are several water refill stations. The restrooms are clean, secure. All throughout the airport are benches and seats. It was very crowded but was able to find seats. If you are arriving there is also a small Duty Free you can grab some treats (like the ones mentioned above) before leaving the airport. There are a lot of other really nice shops to shop at for clothes, food, shoes. The only thing we did not find was somewhere to buy cheese.

You really have to go to a restaurant or the lounge if you have over an hour to kill and don't want to shoot yourself. Overall it is what it is. You're not going to find yourself in stansted unless you are looking to travel cheap, so you get what you pay for.

During certain windows, the lounge can get quite crowded. I was able to find a cosy nook during my visits. As with their other lounges, each table has a QR code menu to place orders and the items in the menu changes based on the time of the day you are in. During my morning visit, I ordered a mocha, eggs royale (smoked salmon benedict) and a green juice. During late afternoon, they offered high tea and I was pleasantly surprised by the huge basket with sandwiches, quiche, scones and pastries. Each of their food items and beverages were exceptionally good. I also used the showers which was well maintained. We got our luggage in no time (it was like 1 AM, so ofcourse no rush was there) and we were the only ones there. ofcourse it's too far from central London and they have Luton Airport Express. to reach LTN - simply hop on a train at St Pancras International to arrive at Luton Airport Parkway, and then take a DART Shuttle to the terminal, all in as little as 32 minutes. It's a fast and seamless way to get to the departure gate. easy check-in, security was quick and hassle-free... lots of shops to browse (or buy) or restaurants to eat... standard Starbucks, Costa, Burger King, MS Simply food. and ofcourse it's cheaper ;)

We were traveling to Budapest and weren't told that, but luckily we had to check in a bag and the front desk clerk told us. No signs of that any where. Anyways, the VISA check took about 15 minutes for 3 people and the lines for checkin and baggage were ridiculous with Ryan Air. We got to the airport over an hour before our flight and had to have the attendant mark us as precheck in order to make our flight. Security was sloooooooow and I couldn't even imagine standing in the normal line. Finally we got through and had to run to our gate. First you go through a bunch of duty free stores. Like ALOT! Very annoying. The airport was so packed that we could barely push through the people. Long story short we got to our gate with 2 minutes to spare to find out it was delayed an hour. The boards in the airport never updated so it said it was boarding as we ran through the airport. Word of the wise- get there super early and check in at the desk instead of mobile to save you headaches.

Reason being relative to the amount of traffic this terminal gets, the lounge capacity is very limited. The waitlist can be up 45+ minutes and it's not guaranteed that everyone on the waitlist can enter before they need to board their flight. This time it appeared they were giving some priority to people who had to board sooner as long as I was willing to share a table with another customer. In this lounge the staff assign seats to each customer which isn't something you usually see, though made sense based on the small size. Since I had only about 15 minutes prior to boarding time I wasn't choosy about comfort, really just wanted to grab a quick breakfast prior to getting on the flight, so this was fine by me. There's a small bar with breakfast selection of the day being "English breakfast" items: scrambled eggs, baked beans, crispy bacon, sausage. They also had some fruit/veg juices, pancakes (via a nifty little pancake machine), a bar with limited alcoholic drinks, and regular coffee/tea options. Functional enough for a quick stop though less comfortable than some other international lounges in terms of space, but still better than many lounges in the US when comparing quality of food.

The line was out the door with a 30 minute wait (and frankly not my favorite lounge, see my separate review of that one), and thankfully they told us to head to My Lounge which had more availability. They are both run by the same company, with My Lounge being recently remodeled and reopened (previously Club Aspire) in the past few months. Walking into the lounge it's decorated with a cozy vibe, think textured brick walls, warm jewel tone tweed textures on the furniture with medium wood accents in the floor and bookshelves, reminiscent of a modern family room. Seating inside looks roughly enough for about 100 people, at mostly lounge chairs and couches. There's decent spacing so that it doesn't feel too crowded. Check-in counter is immediately inside the entrance, at around 10:30am it wasn't too crowded, we were able to enter right away. Later on when we left around 1pm there was a short wait of about 10-15 minutes. Directly to the right of the check-in, there's a small, more private lounge room with seating for about 8-10 which is where we parked ourselves. Walking left past the check-in counter the space opens up to a bar serving liquor and cocktails, and a food bar along the wall. They had breakfast food set out, including yogurt, smoothies, granola and cereal, cut fruit, bread and mini pastries, and warm food including all the elements of a traditional English breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, toast, roasted tomatoes, roasted potatoes. There was also a pancake station which I've seen at a couple other Europe lounges, and you can basically pour your own batter and it goes through a mini oven and pops out cooked on the other side. Around noon they also set out lunch food though we didn't end up eating much of that. Free WiFi is available and strong. There are screens scattered around the lounge with airline info though similar to other lounges no announcements are made, so you have to keep track of your own boarding time. Bathrooms are in decent shape. Normal hours are 5:00am to 10:00pm. Not a bad place to spend a few hours, would def stop by again if I lay over at Heathrow Terminal 3! Plaza Premium Lounge ended up being a great pick during our layover. There was no wait on a Sunday, and I can see why: the space is huge. The food was good with plenty of variety, including some healthier choices. I also appreciated the alcohol-free beer, which the other lounge doesn't bother offering (but really, what does it offer?). Service was great too. Staff were constantly coming by to clear plates and tidy up. And yes, they even have bathrooms... unlike Aspire. Notice a theme?! My only real complaint was the Wi-Fi. Heathrow's own airport Wi-Fi was noticeably faster. Other than that, this is a solid lounge, and we'll definitely keep coming back during LHR layovers.
