We visited Escape Game Worcester and played their "Fallout" room. THE STORY It is the year 1977. In front of us stood a fallout shelter, which is the last few remaining standing buildings after US was attacked in a Nuclear war. We had no choice but to explore what was inside... HIT THE BULLSEYE -The entryway to the room was a great mood setter for what was about to come. We always enjoy that extra touch. -Once we entered, the dim light and set design immediately captured our attention. Some props used were from that era and that really pulled us more into the story. -The game flow was great. Since this wasn't a linear room, we were able to explore separately and still come together for the important pieces of the puzzles later. -A "centerpiece" of the room became our favorite challenge to solve. It created that last moment of "urgency" we all yearn for in an escape room and gave us that final satisfied feeling when we completed the task. MISSED THE MARK -There were a few places that we thought we were going to be "surprised" with more than meets the eye, but that could also just be our selfish desire for wanting more. -One puzzle was hard to visualize for us but we were still able to be solve it using deduction. TAKE A SHOT? If you love a little exploration, discovery, and excitement, you'll want to try this room out. We were able to escape with just the two of us, but it's best recommended to go with at least 3 people. We can't wait to journey back for their other adventures.

My family tries to incorporate Escape rooms into every trip that we take. On this amazing jaunt to the Boston area we happened upon the Escape Game Worcester, and we loved every minute of it. We selected the CSI room and knew from the moment the first door opened that we were in for something special. The nonlinear style of this room make sure that everyone in our group was able to contribute without getting in anyone else's way. This is High Praise as many rooms are not designed for Four Strong players. We escaped but at no point was that certain. I would come back in a heartbeat to try any of their other rooms.

The door to all the fun...

So much fun!! I surprised Mr. Bethany with the Museum Room as a date night surprise. We met 2 additional couples and were taken to our room. I'm not going to give details. I can't be the one who ruins this for anyone. I love a knowledge challenge and this did not disappoint at all. Grab a group and book a room!!

Inside the lobby. Park across the street in the large lot and get your ticket validated for FREE parking. Convenient.

Is this appropriate for an 11 year old?

I guess it would determine what you mean by appropriate. The rooms are family friendly in the sense of being PG. If you are asking if your child would understand it, that is…

What a whimsical room! We just did Wonderland Revisited and it was so much fun. Really cute set…read moredesign and props. Our only regret is that we weren't able to do it in person. Great variety of puzzles with a fun theme. Perfect for teams of 3-4. Puzzles were medium level difficulty. We also did Watson's Revenge which was full of clever puzzles, fun reveals and unique locks. Definitely have experienced players on your team as this one is pretty challenging. 4+ teammates is good for this one. Lastly, we did 13th Floor which was luckily not a scary room, just a slightly creepy theme. Really enjoyed the puzzles and riddles in this one as well as the interactive elements. 3-5 is good for this one. Puzzles are medium to hard difficulty. Rave reviews for the fun game master. The inventory/closeup system for the virtual/remote rooms were a bit tricky to juggle but allowed us to divide and conquer.

We came to do one, but the experience was pretty heavy for the group, and the great staff there let us change to a room that was better suited to our group, right on the fly! We ended up doing "King Arthur's Quest" and Sean, our gamemaster, did a great job at keeping us moving! A lot of fun and keep us occupied for an hour! We will definitely come back for other challenges! If you are thinking about coming, a word from the now-wise: pay heed to the challenge rating (PG, PG-13, etc.). And don't be afraid to ask questions about the challenge when you have your pre-meeting. If you are afraid of the dark - ASK! your gamemaster if the room is going to be dark. If you have to switch escape rooms based on your comfort factor, do it, you'll be glad you did. Thanks again Sean!

As a parent, you never forget the people who make your child feel safe…read more My son was beyond excited to try an escape room. For the first few minutes, he was completely into it. Then something unexpected startled him, and in an instant, that happy family moment--where I thought we had found a new activity we'd all love doing together--was over. He ran out shaking and genuinely scared. A few different employees immediately came out to check on him. They spoke to him so kindly, reassured him, and helped him find the courage to try again. He'd go back in... get scared... and run back out. This happened two or three times, and every single time someone gently came to check on him, making sure he was okay and trying to make it a little less scary. By that point, I felt defeated. I was ready to give up, sit in the lobby with him, and let the rest of my family finish without us. That's when Bethany stepped in. She took the time to really talk with him, and then brought him to our game guide, Landon. Together, they completely changed the experience. They brought him behind the scenes into the control room, showed him how everything worked, explained the noises that had scared him, let him see the cameras, answered every question he had, and made him feel completely comfortable. They didn't just distract him--they helped him understand, and suddenly the scary unknown became interesting. Then Landon made it even more special by letting my son help give our family clues from the control room. Instead of feeling left out, he became part of the adventure. He hasn't stopped talking about it since and is already asking when we can come back. Watching the kindness, patience, and empathy that Bethany and Landon showed a little boy they had just met honestly brought tears to my eyes. They didn't have to do any of this, but they chose to, and it turned what could have been a disappointing day into one of our favorite family memories. Thank you for giving my son confidence, making him feel safe, and showing such genuine kindness. And to the entire team--from the front desk to the game guides--every interaction was exceptional. It's clear your company doesn't just hire great employees; you hire genuinely wonderful people. Bravo
